'ṣṭavarṇo vārdaṃ na bahv iti samāhvayate hy ahighnaḥ | bhekas tathaiva khaśayāśayavedyavāṇiḥ śabdaṃ karoty atibhṛśaṃ viṣarāśimagnaḥ || RaKa_15 pakṣīti | pakṣī mayūraḥ | aśvamedhaturagapratimaḥ | aśvamedho yajñaviśeṣaḥ, tatra turaṃgo vicitraḥ sarvarūpo 'ṣṭamaṅgalaḥ, tena tulyā pratimā yasya so 'ṣṭavarṇaḥ | vārdaṃ megham | na bahv analaṃ megho varṣatīti hetos taṃ samāhvayata ākārayaty ahighnaḥ sarpāśana ity arthaḥ | bhekas tu maṇḍūkaḥ | yathā mayūras tathaiva sa śabdaṃ karoty atibhṛśam | khaśayāśayavedyavāṇiḥ | khaśayo bilavāsī bhekabhuk sarpaḥ, tasyāśayo bilam, tasmād vedyā upalabdhā vāṇir vāg yasya saḥ | viṣarāśimagnaḥ | viṣaṃ pānīyam, tasya rāśir nicayaḥ, tatra magno nimajjatīty arthaḥ | he bāle paśyeti saṃbandhaḥ ||(RaKaT_15) nā viṣkirāvanam upetya kumātṛsāhvam ākrīdate madhukalo 'ṅganayā sametaḥ | anyas tv ayaṃ maṇivarābham upetya gojaṃ nā rāmayā saha payaḥpatijāṃ vṛṇīte || RaKa_16 nā viṣkirāvanam iti | nā puruṣaḥ | upetya prāpya | viṣkirāḥ pakṣiṇaḥ, teṣām avanaṃ tarpaṇe rakṣāyāṃ vā viṣkirāvanaṃ kānanaṃ nīḍajasthānam | kiṃsaṃjñākam | kumātṛsāhvaṃ kadambavanam ity arthaḥ | ākrīdate madhukalaḥ | ratimadyena kalo virājamāna ity arthaḥ | aṅganayā sametaḥ bhāryayā yuktaḥ | anyo 'paraḥ tv ayaṃ puṃspakṣī | viṣkirā hi mānuṣamithunāgamena kadambavanād bahirgatāḥ | maṇivaro haritopala indranīlakaḥ, tena tulyā ābhā yasya tan maṇivarābham | dūrvāśādvalam ity arthaḥ | upetya prāpya | gojam | gauḥ pṛthvī, tasyāṃ jātaṃ samudbhūtam idaṃ dūrvāvanam | nā pumān | rāmā strī | tayā pakṣiṇyā saha | payaḥpatiḥ samudraḥ, tasmiñ jātā lakṣmīḥ | tāṃ tṛṇabhūtāṃ śriyaṃ vṛṇīte saṃbhunakti ||(RaKaT_16) syūtaṃ mahat kṣatajavarṇanibhaṃ naro 'sau bibhrat tv amūni ca bhinatti saroruhāṇi | tajjena cāpi rajasā vanitāṃ vayaḥstho 'py abhyuddharaty avakiraty abhiṣicyamānaḥ || RaKa_17 syūtam iti | syūtaṃ vastram | kiṃviśiṣṭam | mahat kṣatajavarṇanibhaṃ ca | kṣatajaṃ rudhiram, tasya varṇas tena tulyā nibhā ābhā yasya tat tathā | naro 'sau bibhrat tu | tad vastraṃ bibhrāṇaḥ san puruṣa ity arthaḥ | amūni ca bhinatti saroruhāṇi | caśabdaḥ pādapūraṇe | amūni etāni | bhinatti uccinoti | sarasīruṃhi kamalāni | teṣu jātaṃ tajjam | tajjena cāpi rajasā padmareṇunā | vanitāṃ striyam | vayaḥstho vayasi sthito yuvā | kim api karotīty āha | abhyuddharati, tām ardidhiṣus tena kausumena mudrayatīty arthaḥ | tathā avakirati, śukraṃ vikṣipatīty arthaḥ | abhiṣicyamānaḥ kayā | vanitayā, krīḍārasena pānīyena | arthavaśād iha vibhaktipariṇāmaḥ | abhivṛṣyamāṇo vā sa meghenety arthavaraḥ ||(RaKaT_17) paṅke nimagnam ibhavṛndam adaḥ savāri garjat timikṣayadavṛndam ivāvabhāti | vāryātmanāmaśatacitratanuḥ suparṇo yoṣidvṛtaḥ samadanaḥ pratiroravīti || RaKa_18 paṅke nimagnam iti | paṅkaḥ kardamaḥ | tasmin nimagnam | ibhavṛndaṃ hastiyūtham | adaḥ etat | savāri sajalam | garjad bṛṃhat | timikṣayadavṛndam ivāvabhāti | timir matsyaḥ, tasya kṣayo vāsa udakam iti yāvat tad dadatīti timikṣayadā meghāḥ | teṣāṃ vṛndaṃ samūham iva | avabhāti śobhate | kṛṣṇatādisādharmyāt | ko 'nyaḥ | vāryātmanāmaśatacitratanuḥ | vāryātmā candramāḥ | tasya nāma yeṣāṃ te candrakāḥ, teṣāṃ śatena citrā vicitritā tanur yasya saḥ | suparṇaḥ | śobhanāni parṇāni pattrāṇi yasya saḥ | mayūra ity arthaḥ | yoṣidvṛtaḥ mayūrīsahitaḥ | samadanaḥ madanena saha vartamānaḥ | kāmāviṣṭaḥ pratiroravīti, yoṣitaṃ prati punaḥ śabdaṃ karoty atibhṛśam ity arthaḥ | he vanite paśyeti saṃbandhaḥ ||(RaKaT_18) visphoṭitābdhararaveṇa riraṃsur eṣa saṃtrāsito harir anokahaniṣkuṭasthaḥ | saṃlīyate taḍitam apy abhivīkṣya vignaḥ khāt khaṃ mahattaram asau samanupraviṣṭaḥ || RaKa_19 visphoṭiteti | visphoṭitābdhararaveṇa visarpitajaladanādena | riraṃsur eṣo 'nukāmaḥ | saṃtrāsitaś cālitaḥ | harir vānaraḥ | anokahaniṣkuṭastho vṛkṣanikuñjeṣu saṃlīyate | taḍitaṃ vidyutam apy abhivīkṣya dṛṣṭvā | vignaḥ bhītaḥ | khāt khaṃ bilād bilam | mahattaram atimahat | asau pratyakṣaḥ | samanupraviṣṭaḥ dūraṃ praviṣṭa ity arthaḥ | he vanite paśyeti saṃbandhaḥ ||(RaKaT_19) etāvad uttamavacaḥ sumanāḥ sa uktvā rantvā dinaṃ saha tayā priyayā hy adīnaḥ | yuktaṃ caturbhir anaḍudbhir adīnavāḍbhir āruhya yānam atha nā prayayau svageham || RaKa_20 iti śrīmahākavinā malayadeśajanmanā ravidevena viracitaṃ rākṣasakāvyaṃ viṃśatihṛdyapadyasametaṃ samāptam || etāvad iti | etāvad yathoktam uttamavacaḥ prakṛṣṭaṃ vacanam | śobhanaṃ mano yasya bhavati sumanāḥ saḥ | uktvā abhidhāya | rantvā krīḍitvā | dinaṃ divasam | kayā saha | tayā priyayā bhāryayā sārdham | hiśabdaḥ pādapūraṇe, avyayaśāstre | adīnaḥ na dīnaḥ, prahṛṣṭaḥ | yuktaṃ caturbhir anaḍudbhir balīvardaiḥ | kathaṃbhūtaiḥ | adīnaṃ śrīmantaṃ taṃ vahantīty adīnavāhaḥ, tair adīnavāḍbhiḥ | yānaṃ ratham āruhya | atha anantaram | nā puruṣaḥ | svagehaṃ mandiraṃ prayayau prayāta ity arthaḥ ||(RaKaT_20) iti śrīmahākavinā śrīravidevena racitā kṛṣṇadhareṇa vyāḷinā prapañcitā sajjanamanaānandadāyinī rākṣasakāvyaṭīkā samāptā ||
