yadāvikalo bhavati, tataḥ sarveṣāṃ samavāyād tadbhavati | pṛthivyādau rnaivaṃ bhavati vayaṃ bījasaṃdhāraṇādi karomīti | bījasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ eteṣāṃ pratyayena saṃdhāraṇādi kāryeṇa hitaṃ karomi | atha punaḥ pṛthivyādiṣu satsu bījādaṅkurādi prādurbhavati, asatsu ca na bhavati | tasmādeva sūtrakāreṇa uktam | dvādaśāṅgamavidyādimaraṇāntaṃ yathākramam | ityādi | bhavāṅgo yeṣāmavidyādimaraṇāntam asti, te avidyādi maraṇaparyantāḥ | tasmāttarhi bhavantyeva duḥkhaskandhā hi kevalam | tasmād iti tu avidyādi kramaśaḥ prādurbhavati | duḥkhaskandhastu duḥkha-samūhaḥ | kevalamiti ātmātmīyaviyuktaḥ | bhavati iti tu utpadyate | dharmaścāṣṭāṅgiko mārgaḥ phalaṃ nirvāṇamucyate | ityuktam | dharmastu svalakṣaṇadhāraṇād dharmaḥ | aṣṭāṅgamārga iti tu mithyādṛṣṭi-mithyāsaṃkalpa-mithyāvāk-mithyākarmānta-mithyājīva-mithyāvyāyāma-mithyā-smṛti-mithyāsamādhayaḥ | tatra mithyādṛṣṭiriti mithyādarśanam | pañcadṛṣṭayastu satkāya-anta-dṛṣṭi-śīla-mithyāśceti | etāḥ sarvā api mithyāśravaṇacintanādiṣu praviṣṭāḥ | tasmāt kudṛṣṭitvāt mithyā mārgācaraṇena aniṣṭavipākābhinirvartitatvāt hetu-karma-phalāni apavādāropākāreṇa praviṣṭatvān mithyādṛṣṭiriti | tatpratikūlatvāt samyakdṛṣṭiḥ mārgāṅga eva vyavasthāpitā | yoniśaḥ sthita-samyakśravaṇa-cintanādayaḥ śraddhāpūrvagatvāt hetu-phala-satya-ratna-karmaphaladi-bhāvadarśanaṃ hi samyakdṛṣṭiḥ | samyakmārgopayogād abhīṣṭaphalābhinirhāratvād anitya-duḥkha-śūnya-nairātmyā-dyākāreṇa praviṣṭa tvāt samyakdṛṣṭiriti | tatra mithyāsaṃkalpaḥ-saṅkalpa-viparyayaḥ | saṅkalpo gocara-viṣayālambanānām adhivacanam | gocaramiti ṣaḍviṣayā rūpādayaḥ | mithyeti viparyāsaḥ | nitya-sukha-śuci-ātmādyākārālambanād rāga-dveṣa-mohavṛddheḥ mithyāsaṃkalpaḥ | tadviparītaḥ samyaksaṃkalpaḥ | samyaṅnāma aviparyāsaḥ | saṃkalpastu kriyā, cintanaṃ ca idamidaṃ kariṣya iti ādau citte nidhāya kāya-vāk-citta-caryākuśalaḥ, rāga-dveṣa-moha-rahita-svabhāvaḥ, anitya-duḥkha-śūnya-nairātmyādisu niyojito yo yoniśomana sikārayogaḥ (sa) samyaṅmārgāṅgam ityucyate | mithyāvāgiti durvacanam | svaparavisaṃvādākārapravṛttā yā vāk sā mithyāvāk | rāga-dveṣa-mohādyākārasambaddhatvād ātmastuti-parapaṃsana-svabhāvena pravṛttā, caturvidha-vāgdoṣamiśritā samyak-satya-tathatā-sarvadharmaprahīṇā, rāja-caura-strī-gṛhastha-janakathāsvarūpā tuccha-vyarthatā-bahulā sarvāryajana-ninditatvān mithyāvāg ityucyate | tatpratikūlatvāt ātmastuti-parapaṃsanavihīnā anitya-duḥkha-śūnya(tā)-nairātmyādi-rūpeṇa pravṛtteḥ sarvārya janāvisaṃvādinī samyaṅmārgānusāritvāt samyagvāg ityucyate | mithyā-karmānto viparītakarmakaraṇam | karmeti kāya-vāk-citta-duṣkṛta-bījavapanād akṣayavipākaphalābhinirvartita-svabhāvākuśala-karmānta-kāritvāt kṣārādidoṣasaṃsṛṣṭakukṣetre kubījavapanavad anabhīṣṭavipākābhi-nirvartitatvāt paṃsanīyaḥ karmāntastu mithyākarmānta ityucyate | karmarati-nidrārati-vādaratyādi-svabhāvaṃ mithyākarma ityucyate | svaparāspṛṣṭa duḥkhapratiṣṭhādhārasvabhāvam, tadviruddhatvāt samyakkarmāntaḥ | aviparītakarmakṛttvāt kāya-vāk-citta-sukṛtabījavapanāt satkṣetrasadṛśasukṛtakarmakṣetre 'bhīṣṭavipākābhinirvartita-vidhi-pravṛtteḥ, anitya-duḥkha-śūnya(tā)-nairātmyādi-svarūpeṇa pravṛtteḥ, samyak karmānta-kāritvāt, samyak karmāntaḥ, sanmārgānusaraṇatvāt samyakmārga ityucyate | mithyājīvastu viparītājīvaḥ | kapaṭa-lapana-naiṣpeśikatva-naimittikatvena pravṛtya avipanna-kāya-vāgādyupajīvikayā puruṣa-stryādi-nimittadeśanena astra-aśva-kāvya-cikitsāparīkṣā-saṃkhyā-gṛhasthaparīkṣā-kumāraparīkṣā-sāmudrika-lakṣaṇaparīkṣā-nimittajñānādau svaparavisaṃvādarūpeṇa pravṛtteḥ tannayena cīvara-piṇḍādi-sādhanānuvṛttyā vihārastu mithyājīva ityucyate | tatpratikūlatvāt samyagājīvastu mārgāṅgamityucyate | samyak tu vidyāviyukta-kāya-vāk-cittapravṛtyā cīvarādi-sādhanam, tannayena ājīvaḥ samyagājīvānusaraṇatvāt svaparāvi-saṃvādasvarūpākāratvād āryamārgānuvartitvāt, samyagājīvastu mārgasyāṅgameva vyavasthāpitaḥ | mithyāvyāyāmaḥ-vyāyāmastu prayatnaḥ | mithyā iti viparyāsaḥ | asatkāya-vāk-citta-pracāraiḥ svaparāpakāro, yuddhādiprajñaptiḥ, dūtādigamanaṃ, cāraḥ, utpātaḥ, nikṣepotkṣepāpohānapoha-sandhi-vidhinotpādaḥ, kṣetra-vidyā-vyāpāra-rājyādi-svaparāpakāri-kāya-vāk-citta-pravṛtta-vividhākārārabdhāḥ kriyāḥ prayatnāśca mithyāvyāyāma ityucyante | tadviruddhabhūtatvāt samyakvyāyāmaḥ | samyak-vyāyāmastu mārgāṅgaeva vyavasthāpitaḥ | yā kāyavākcittacaryāsvaparopakāra-mātrakuśalapravṛtyā āryamārgam anusarati sā samyagvyāyāmatvāt samyakvyāyāmaḥ | sa mārgāṅgameva ucyate | mithyā smṛtiriti kutsanīyā smṛtiḥ mithyāsmṛtiḥ | smṛtistu smaraṇam | iyam mithyā smṛtiścāpi bhūtatvān mithyāsmṛtiḥ | kālatrayaviṣayeṣu pūrvahāsa-ānandānubhūta-rūpa-śabda-gandha-rasa-sparśādīn anusmaran anukathanam | tatrāpi adhyavasāna-anurāga-pratighatādi-paridveṣatvāt svaparāpakārakāritvād, abhīṣṭavipākasambaddhatvācca mithyā-nimitta-manasikārastu mithyāsmṛtiḥ | tadviruddhatvāt samyak-smṛtistu mārgāṅgameva kathitā | guṇānusmaraṇaṃ pūrvīkṛtya buddha-dharma-saṃgha-śīla-tyāga-devādyanusmaraṇaṃ samyaksmṛtiḥ mārgāṅgam eva ucyate | samādhikāryaṃ-samādhistu dhyānam | sarvathā samādhāya dhāraṇatvāt samādhiḥ | sa tu mithyāpi san, samādhirapi bhūtatvān mithyāsamādhiḥ mithyeti tu viparyayaḥ | īśvara-svabhāva-kāla-pradhānādhyātmātmādyasatsu tatrālambanapūrvakaṃ yaccitta-spharaṇaṃ syāt, api tu-rūpādi-bāhyavastūni anitya-duḥkha-śūnya-nairātmyākārīṇi nitya-sukha-śucyātma dṛṣṭayāditayā adhyavasīya teṣu ālambanapūrvakaṃ yaccittaspharaṇam, sādhyavasāya pūrvakaṃ yaccittādhiṣṭhānaṃ tattu mithyāsamādhirityucyate | tadviruddhaṃ cittādhiṣṭhānaṃ samyaksamādhirityucyate | skandha dhātvāyatanātmātmīyatāśūnyādiṣu anitya-duḥkha-śūnya(tā)-nairātmyādyākārapūrvakaṃ cittapratiṣṭhānam | cittaikāgratā tu samyak samādhirityucyate | sarvadharmasamatāpratipatteḥ samādhiḥ | cittaikāgratā ekālambanatvañceti | adhivacanam | sa samyak-samādhirmārgāṅgameva ucyate | evam yaḥ pratītyasamutpādaṃ paśyati sa dharmaṃ paśyati | darśanādyaṣṭasetvaṅgaṃ hetudvādaśapūrvagam | viśuddhātmā hi yaḥ paśyed dharmatathyaṃ sa paśyati | phalaṃ tuṃ śrāmaṇyaphalam | tatprāptistu sākṣātkaraṇam | sarvasaṃkleśālaya-vijñānabījavāsanāmalāpagatatvād āśrayaparāvṛttimayaṃ manogocarācintyā-prameyaguṇamaṇyalaṅkṛtāyāḥ svaparādhīnātmaka pratyātmavedyasarvasattvārthanirantarānābhoga kṛtātma-sarvaprapañcarahitāyāḥ śamathavipaśyanā-yuganaddha-sarvadharma-tathatāyāḥ adhigamatvāt kleśa-jñeyāvaraṇagirigahvaravanamūla-vidahanasvabhāvatānuttarasamyak-saṃphalaṃ śaikṣajñānaṃ tu phala dharma ityucyate | atha śālistamba-vibhāṣāyā dvitīyaṃ paṭalam | nirvāṇaṃ nāma sopadhiśeṣa-nirupadhiśeṣa-svabhāvatāpratiṣṭhitanirvāṇamityuktam | ajaram, amaram, atāpaṃ, sthiraṃ, śāntaṃ, nityam, asaṃhāryam, akṣayātmakam, ādimadhyāntarahitam advayaṃ dhātutrayavirahitaṃ kāya-vāk-cittakarmasamatikrāntaṃ maṇiratnarājavividharūpasadṛśaṃ guṇamaṇivividhaprabhābhiḥ nirantaraṃ jagadarthakāri śāntaṃ, dharmātmaka-kāya-bhūtaṃ nirvāṇaṃ manyate | sarvasyādhigamādevaṃ dharmajaṃ buddhameva ca | evaṃ tadvat-saṃkleśa-vyavadānātmaka-sarvadharmāṇāṃ dharma-tathatāyāḥ yathāsthitivadavagatatvād buddha ityucyate | dharmajaṃ nāma dharmebhyo janitatvād dharmajam | dharmeṇa janitam ityadhivacanam | tathoktamāryaṃ dṛṣṭatvād yaḥ paśyati sa paśyati | tatheti buddhamiti tathoktatvāt, tādṛśo bhagavān | āryaṃ dṛṣṭatvāditi jñānacakṣuṣā | āryastu lokottaraḥ | paśyatīti cakṣuṣā | yaḥ paśyatīti yaḥ pratītyasamutpādaṃ dharmañcaivaṃ paśyati sa dharmajaḥ, dharmajatvād buddhaṃ paśyatīti bhāṣyate | tatrātra pratītyasamutpādaḥ kīdṛśa ukta iti cet | yaḥ pratītyasamutpādam idamityādi | prāṇādirahitād yaśca iti tu yaḥ pratītyasamutpādaṃ satataṃ prāṇādirahitaṃ prāṇarahitam, apaśyad yuktyanumānābhyāṃ caryāṃ, māpanam, kalpanām, upaparīkṣaṇañca karoti, satatamajīvamiti tu nirjīvam | ajīvaṃ ārhatā evaṃ kalpayanti | imāni sarvāṇi bāhyābhyantarāṇi vastūni sajīvāni indriyānvitāni | tasmāt sarvāścaitāḥ bhūmayaḥ sūkṣmaprāṇibhiḥ pūrṇāḥ | tasmāt sarve prāṇino jantūn bhakṣanti | ye prāṇinaḥ prāṇino na bhakṣanti te prāṇinastu mokṣaṃ prāpnuvantīti ucyate | tasmāt tannirākaraṇāya ajīva-nirjīvetyādi uktam | ajīva iti nirjīvaḥ, niṣprāṇasyādhivacanam, hetupratyayotpādadharmitvāt | hetustu bījādi | pratyayaśca pṛthivyādi | te 'pi parasparamanyonyakalpanā-parikalpanā-vikalpa-rahitvāt tṛṇa-vṛkṣa-bhitti-dharmasadṛśā acalāḥ niṣkriyāśca tasmāt prāṇādirahitatvād ajīvāḥ | parasparaṃ hetupratyayopanibaddhajā anyonye cācetanāḥ | kriyā karmāpyavabhāsate | hetupratyayasantatiriyam anāditaḥ pravṛttā | yathājīvakānām ārhatānāṃ vṛkṣā sacetanāḥ santi, calatvāt, suptatvāt, chinne 'pi utpādatvāditi, yā vyavahāraprajñaptistādṛśī nāsti | bāhyavastuṣu sūryasya candrasya ca sparśavaśena layo vistaraśca anumīyete | kva teṣāṃ śayanotthānam? vāyusañcāravaśād vṛkṣa-śākhādi-kampanānumānāt teṣāṃ gamanāgamanaṃ kuta upalabhyate | artho 'siddha eva | chinne utpāda iti ayam artho 'siddha eva iti darśayitum ucyate | yadi so 'pi sacetanaḥ syat, kasmāt chedanāvasthāyāṃ prāṇātipattītyādi duḥkhaṃ nānubhavati | anicchādicaryāṃ prārthanādiṃ vā tato 'nyatragamanaṃ vālpamapi na kurvanti | chinne utpādatvāt sacetanatvābhyupagamaścet, tarhi yacchede 'nutpādaḥ, tannivartanād acetanatvameva syāt | sacetanānām aṅga-pratyaṅgādicchedānutpāda-dharmitvād acetanatāyā eva prasaṅgo jāyate | tasmāt taddhetvartho 'siddha eva | tasmādajīvaṃ, nirjīvam itīdaṃ vyavasthitam | yathāvadaviparītamiti ahetoḥ pratikūlahetorviyuktatvāt | ajātamiti tu janyajanakarahitatvāt | abhūtamiti śāśvatocchedarahitatvāt | akṛtamiti tu kartṛrahitatvāt | ābhyantarakartṛpuruṣeśvarādipravṛtti-saṃskāra-rahitattvācca | apratighamiti tu anāvaraṇasvabhāvatvāt | anālambanamiti tu ālambyālambanarahitatvāt | vyupaśamasvabhāvamiti tu karmakleśarahitatvāt | ekāntaśamasvabhāvamiti sarvaprapañcarahitam sarvakalpanājālarahitam | satatasthitam, abhayam utpādavināśarahitañca | ya etādṛṅnayena dharmamapi paśyati | vyupaśāntyanta-saṃyutam ityuktam | vyupaśāntyantamiti tu upaśamam ante darśayituṃ vyupaśamaparyantam | yastu etādṛśanayena dharmaṃ satatam ajīvādisvabhāvaṃ paśyati | pratītyaṃ dharmabuddhau ca śuddhibuddhayā hi paśyati | so 'nuttaradharmaśarīraṃ buddhaṃ paśyati | iti bhagavatā uktam | ityasyārthastu yaḥ paśyati | āryadharmamabhisaṃbudhya iti tu yo pāpadharmāṇāṃ pāre arthāt dūre sa āryaḥ | teṣāṃ dharma āryadharmaḥ, samyakdṛṣṭirityādiḥ | abhisaṃbudhyeti abhimukhe ekāgratākaraṇāt sākṣātkaraṇācca samādhiprāpterityadhivacanam | samyagjñānopanayenaiva iti samyagaviparyayeṇa sarvadharmanairātmyatathatāvagamatvāt | anuttaramiti tatpūrvaṃ viśiṣṭadharmasya abhāvaḥ, tasmāt tad evānuttaramityuktam | dharmakāya iti dharmakāya eva dharmakāyaḥ, niśādā-putravat | buddha iti dharmāvabodhāt | tathāpi yaḥ pratītyasamutpādaṃ paśyati sa dharmakṛtānuttarabodhyaśaikṣasvabhāvatāṃ paśyati | yena sa āryajñānagocaradharmaṃ tādṛśaṃ svayathāvad abhisaṃbodheḥ dharmajñaḥ, dharmanirmāṇaṃ dharmadarśanam buddhadarśanam iti bhagavatā uktam | pratītyasamutpādalakṣaṇaṃ bhedavyavasthāpanārthaṃ pratītyalakṣaṇaṃ tāvad ityuktam | kasmāt pratītyasamutpāda ucyate iti cet | tasmāduktam - sahetvādipadānvitam | sahetukaḥ sapratyaya (ucyate) nāhetuko nāpratyayaḥ | bhagavatā pratītyasamutpādalakṣaṇaṃ saṃkṣepeṇoktam, etatpratyayasyaiva phalam | tasmāduktam | buddhotpādo bhavenno vā sthiteyaṃ dharmatā yataḥ | hetupratyaya-pravāho 'vicchinnaḥ | hetuphalamavicchinnaṃ anyonyaṃ pravartate | atrāhetuḥ pratikūlahetuḥ vā pravartako nivartako vā ko 'pi nāsti | tasmāt tathāgatānāmutpādādvā anutpādād vā dharmato dharmasthitito dharmaniyamataśca eṣa pravāhaḥ, ityuktam | yadi pratyayarahitena ekenaiva hetunā bhāvā utpadya tiṣṭhanti, yadi pratyayo 'pi hetumanapekṣya kiñcidutpādayituṃ samarthaḥ cettadā te sthitā asthitā iti vaktuṃ yujyeta, teṣāmutpādaḥ phalodbhavo 'pi nāhetor na cāpratyayāt tathāgatānāmutpādo vānutpādo vā eṣā dharmatā dharmasthitatā ca āditaḥ pravartete || tadyathā - pratītyasamutpādasya dharma etatpratyayatāphalamiti bhagavatā pratītyasamutpādaḥ saṃkṣepeṇa uktaḥ | atra dharmatā tu hetupratyayaryordharmatā | dharmasthitateti avipraṇāśadharmatā | dharmaniyāmateti idaṃpratyayatākramaniyāmatā | hetupratyaya-kramavat pratītyasamutpādasamateti hetvabhāve pratyayāpravṛttiḥ pratyayābhāve ca na hetu-pravṛttiḥ | parasparasāmagryāṃ ca pravṛttiḥ | ananyatathateti anyatāvirahitatvāt | bhūtateti avisaṃvādatvāt | satyatā iti satyānukūlatvāt | tathateti arthānvitatvāt | aviparītateti tu caturvidhaviparyayarahitatvāt | aviparyayateti anukūlatvāt | evamapi pratītyasamutpādo 'yam ityādi hetupratyayadvividhatvād hetupratyayobhayārtha pratītyasamutpādasya kramo 'bhyupagantavyaḥ | katamau dvāviti? ucyate | hetūpanibandhataḥ pratyayopanibandhataśca| tacca bāhyādhyātmika-bhedena caturvidho 'vagantavyam - bāhya ādhyātmikaścāpi dvividho hetupratyayaḥ | ityuktam | evaṃ bāhyādhyātmikaviśeṣeṇa pṛthag hetupratyayānāṃ lakṣaṇa-bhedaḥ kīdṛśa iti cet | bāhyo hetustu bījādi ityuktam | tatra katamo bāhyaḥ sahetukaḥ pratītyasamutpāda iti uktvā tadidam - bījādaṅkuraḥ | aṅkurāt patram | patrāt kāṇḍam | kāṇḍānnālam | nālādgaṇḍaḥ gaṇḍād garbham [garbhācchūkaḥ] puṣpāt phalam ityuktam | pratyayaḥ ṣaḍvidho mataḥ | iti tvavasthātvād bāhyapratītyasamutpāda iti yojyam | ṣaḍvidha iti tu pṛthivyādayaḥ ṣaḍvidhāḥ | tasmāttūktam - bījāṅkuraprakāṇḍādiḥ phale yadvat pravartate | bīje sati aṅkura-kāṇḍādi-phala-paryantānāṃ prādurbhāvād, bīje 'sati aṅkurakāṇḍādiphalaparyantam na prādurbhavati | tatra bījasya naivaṃ bhavati ahamaṅkurādi abhinirvartayāmi iti | aṅkurasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ bījādinā abhinirvartitaḥ iti | evaṃ yāvat puṣpasya naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ phalamabhinirvartayāmīti | phalasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ puṣpeṇābhinirvartita iti | atha punarbīje sati aṅkurāditaḥ phalādi paryantaṃ prādurbhāvaḥ | asati na bhavati | evaṃ bāhyasya pratītyasamutpādasya hetūpanibandho draṣṭavyaḥ | pratyayastu pṛthivyādi kālāntaṃ hi yathā kramam | tasmādeva kathaṃ bāhyapratītyasamutpādasya pratyayopanibandho draṣṭavya ityādi uktam | bāhyapratītyasamutpādasya pratyayopanibandhāḥ katidhā draṣṭavyā ityuktam ṣaṇṇāṃ dhātūnāṃ samavāyāt | katameṣāṃ ṣaṇṇāmiti | pṛthivyaptejovāyvākāśartudhātūnāṃ yathākramaṃ samavāyād bāhyapratītyasamutpādasyeti pratyayatā yathākramam | kramo yathāvad jñātavyaḥ | eṣām hetupratyayānāṃ katamasya karma katamad iti cet? tasmād uktam | dhāraṇaṃ snehanaṃ pāko dhānyavṛddhiranāvṛtiḥ | pariṇāmastathā teṣāṃ kāryaṃ tadvat pravartate || tatra pṛthivīdhāturbījasya saṃdhāraṇakṛtyaṃ karotīti bījamaṅkurotpādonmukhamāśrayatvāt kaṭhinatvameva ucyate | abdhātuḥ snehayatīti abhiṣyandayatīti bhāṣitaḥ | tejo dhātuḥ paripācayatīti paripuṣṭayavasare upapadyamāne paraspara-sparśeṇoṣṇatā eva paripāka iti ucyate | vāyudhātur abhinirharatīti vardhanatvād, svāvasthāyāḥ samuddhṛtya bahirā nayanād vāyudhāturbījamabhinirharati vardhayatīti ucyate | ākāśadhāturbījāṅkurādīnām anāvaraṇakṛtyaṃ karotīti | ākāśadhāturvighnākaraṇatvād anukūlapravṛteḥ bījāṅkurādyanāvaraṇakṛtyaṃ karotītyucyate | ṛturapi bījasya pariṇāmanakṛtyaṃ karotīti ṛturapi sarvākāraṃ abhinirharati | ṛtau yathāvat parivartamāne bījapariṇāmakṛtyaṃ karotīti | sarveṣāmapyavaikalye prādurbhāvaḥ | vaikalye tu na prādurbhāvaḥ | tasmādeva uktam | no cet pratyayasāmagrī bīje bhūte 'pi nāṅkuraḥ | bījābhāve tu satyevaṃ pratyayabhāvo 'pi tādṛśaḥ || tasmādeva uktam | sarvasamavāyād bīje niruddhe tato 'bhinirhāraḥ syāt | hetavaḥ pratyayāstadvad ātmagrāhādivarjitāḥ | hetupratyayasāmagryā na naśyet karmaṇaḥ phalam || tatra pṛthivīdhātornaivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ saṃghātakṛtyaṃ karomīti | tadvat jale agnau, vāyau, ākāśe, ṛtau cāpi naivaṃ bhavati | ātmātmīyagrahābhāvānna karmaphala-prajñapti-praṇāśaḥ, sarvatra hetupratyayavaikalyābhāvād ityavagantavyam | so 'ṅkuro 'pīti bījahetukatadaṅkurādīnām utpādo na svato parato nāpi na dvayoḥ kartṛkālataḥ | īśvarādikṛtaṃ naivaṃ svabhāvānnāpyahetutaḥ || ityuktam | svata iti hetupratyayābhāve svata utpādaḥ | svabhāvavādina evaṃ kalpanta iti śrūyate | bhāvānāṃ svabhāvata satatamatra tiṣṭhati | atra na kaścidutpadyate na ca kaścin nirudhyate | māyūrasya patravaicitryaṃ, kamalādiṣu raktatā, kāṇḍādīnāṃ taikṣṇyādikaṃ kena pūrvanirmitamityucyate | tasmāt tanmatanirākaraṇāyoktam | bhāvānāṃ svata utpādo na yujyate | pūrvādhyavasitatvāt | utpattimattvena abhyupagamyate, hetupratyayatābhyupagamaḥ | tasmād vastūnāṃ svabhāvata utpādo na yujyate, utpattimatvād ghaṭādivat | yasyānusāraṃ bhāvāḥ satataṃ sthitāḥ tadanusāram utpāda-kriyā-karma-sthiti-vināśā api na yujyante, utpāda-kriyā-karma-sthiti-vināśā api sākṣād avabhāsante | tasmād atra doṣasya prasajyamānatvān na svata ityuktam | bhāvānām svata utpādaścet nityamutpādaprasaṃgaḥ syāt, ākāśavat | kasyacidapi kutrāpi kadāpi utpādo nirodho vā nāstīti cet- ucyate- pratyakṣavirodhaḥ | evaṃ bhāvānāṃ hetupratyayād utpādo bhāsate, tasmāt tāvad bhāvānāṃ na svabhāvata utpādaḥ | parataḥ iti ātmataḥ | pareṣāmutpādako vināśakaścātmāstīti śrūyate | bāhyābhyantarasarvavastūni tu ātmaguṇāḥ | ātmā antaḥ karaṇapuruṣo 'sti | tathā sati gamana-āgamana-calana-kampana-nirākaraṇa-manyanā-kriyā-karmāṇi tatraiva anyatrāpi ca pravartante | cakṣurādiḥ ātmaguṇaḥ, parārthatvāt, śayanādyaṅgavaditi | parasaṃjñā tu ātmani satyevocyate | cakṣurādiḥ tadguṇatvāt, tadarthastu parārthaḥ | yathā śayanādi parairupayuktatvāt parārthamitivat parārthatvāditi | ayaṃ hetuḥ śayanopamayā na yujyate saṃghātatvāt | ātmātvasaṃghātasvarūpaḥ | katham ātmā asaṃghātaḥ san svaśarīrābhāve śayanādīn aṅgasaṃghān svarūpeṇopakartuṃ yujyate | tasmāt sa hetvartho 'siddhaḥ, asaṃghātasya parārthaniṣpādakatvāt | śayanabhedena śayanopamā saṃghātasya parārthatvameva sādhayati | ātmanaḥ saṃghātatvād hetupratyayayorutpādopalabdha ātmātmīya iti manyanākārapravṛtteḥ cittamevātmā ityucyate | atrāntaḥ karaṇapuruṣaḥ kūrmakeśasvabhāvavad yuktyanumānarahitastu kvacinnāstīti darśayitum bhagavatā bāhyādhyātmikabhāvānāṃ parata utpādo na yujyata ityuktam | yadi bhāvānāṃ svato 'pi notpādo na ca parato 'pi, tadā bhāvānāṃ dvividha utpāda iti cet, tasmāt tanmataniṣedhārthamuktam | na dvayoḥ na ca kālata ityuktam | na svataḥ parataśca na | anye tu svaparayoḥ sambandhād bhāvotpādaṃ manyante | tasmād ubhayata eva vadanti | tathāpi svato 'nupalabdhatvāt parataścābhāvāt na dvayoḥ ityuktam | hetu-pratyayātiriktaṃ na svato na parata iti bhagavatā uktam | yadi ubhayasaṃyoge 'pi utpādavināśau neṣṭau, tadā paratantreṇa kartrā utpādavināśau bhaviṣyata iti kaiściducyate | anye tīrthikāstu karttā nāma kaścid ādyaḥkartā, nityo 'navacchinno vyāpakaścātmeti kaścidasti, sa eva bāhyamābhyantarañcedaṃ sarvam utpādayati vināśayatīti manyante | tasmāt tanmatakhaṇḍanārtham uktam | bhāvānāmutpādaḥ sthitirvināśaścaiva na kartradhīnāḥ | atha kasyeti cet- hetupratyayasambandhād bhāvānāṃ pravṛttirbhāsate | kartustu ākāśavan nirvikāratvāt tadadhīnā utpāda-sthitivināśāśca naiva yujyante | kasmāditi cet, karttari nirvikāra-niṣkriyākāśātmani kriyā karma ca kiñcidapi nāsti | utpadyamānā bhāvā hetupratyayāpekṣāḥ pravṛtti-kramodbhūtā eva bhāsante | yadanusāraṃ karttāramapekṣate pravṛttistadanusāraṃ bhāvānām utpāda-sthiti-vināśāśca sadā āsannā bhavanti | karturnityatvād bhāvānām utpādao-sthiti-vināśā yugapad bhaviṣyanti athavā utpāda-sthiti-vināśā na bhaviṣyanti | nityatvāt kvacidapi kiñcidapi utpādo vā vināśo vā na syāt | hetuṃ pratyayañca apekṣya pravartamānānāṃ bhāvānāmeva kartṛ-kriyā-hetuphalotpādasamaḥ kramodbhava upalabhyate | anutpannā-kāśotpalādīnāntu utpāda-sthiti-vināśā na yujyante | avikārahetubhiḥ parasparamāśritya pravartamānaiḥ utpādaniyamo na yujyate | nityabhāvādanityo hi samutpādo na yujyate | hetutastvavikāratvāt samasyaivodbhave sati | hetau phale ca saṃbhinne 'vikārastu kathaṃ bhavet | hetau vikārasyāpi bhūtatvāt tadasādṛśyapakṣo naṣṭaḥ | kriyānanvitavandhyāputrātmani kasyāścit kriyāyāḥ karmaṇo vā niyatena ayuktatvād bhagavaddharmeṣu avisaṃvāditvād bhāvotpādakriyā karttāraṃ nāpekṣate, kintu sati hetupratyayasaṅgrahe bhāvānāmutpādavināśau yujyeta ityuktam | yadyevam atra bhāvotpāda-sthityanyathā-bhāvatādirabhyupagantavyaḥ | bhāvotpādasthitīnāṃ tu jñātavyo heturīśvaraḥ | anyeṣāṃ vipratipattiryathāvattairhi bhāṣyate || anyaiḥ sattvabhājanalokayorutpāda-sthiti-vināśāstu īśvarakṛtapraṇāśā avagamyante, tadīśvarecchāvaśāt kāya-bhūmitraya-kartrādisaṃbhavaḥ syāditi śrūyate | anye tasyaiva cittotpādamātreṇa naraka-preta-tiryak-deva-manuṣyadayāśca sattvāḥ jvara-viṣa-vyādhi-strī-puruṣa-napuṃsaka-sukṛtarūpa-vikṛtarūpa-dasyu-jihma-caurāḥ kāmamithyācāra-prāṇātipāta-mṛṣāvāda-madyapāna-dyūtapraveśa-pratyanta-śabara-ḍombī-nirdaya-krūra-pāruṣyavāda-brahmaghāta-mātṛpitṛghātaka-vyādhādayaḥ, yakṣa-rākṣasa-ḍākinyādayaḥ sarve paraghātakāḥ, sukha-duḥkhādayaḥ svargo vimokṣaśca tāni sarvāṇi cittotpādamātreṇoddhṛtānīti vadanti | īśvarakartṛtvavādino 'tisukumāraprajñā eva, atimandaprajñā eva, gatānugatikāścaiva yuktiviśeṣarahite tasmin gauravapravaṇatvāt pūrvottaraviruddhaṃ bālayuvakacāṇḍālavadayathārtha pratyakṣādiviruddhaṃ, dāna-vinaya-saṃyama-iṣṭāniṣṭaphalaṃ, sukṛtaduṣkṛtakarma, gamyāgamyaṃ, bhakṣyābhakṣyaṃ, svargāpavargādiphalaviruddhaṃ, yuktyāgamādiviruddhaṃ ca vāṅmātreṇa pakṣīkṛtya nijājñānapaṭalena netrācchādanatvād asamarthatvāt paśubhūtāstu paśubhyo 'pyatichudratarāḥ paśavaḥ | nigūḍhavandhyāputrasvabhāvaṃ paśupatimāśritya, janmasthitivināśānāṃ hetutāṃsyaapi tūccatām | utpāde sthitau ca sahetuka evābhyupagamyamāne sati nityavādabhaṅgatvād vādotsargaḥ, viparītasiddhatvād īśvarasya ahetutvameva sidhyati | icchāmātreṇa utpāde sati yugapadeva sampūrṇajagata utpādasthiti-vināśāḥ syuḥ | tasmādapi asiddhārthataiva syāt, sarveṣāṃ nityotpādaprasaṅgatvāt | duḥkha-kuhanā-jihma-aśuci-akṛtajñatādyuddharaṇānāṃ tu prayojanaviśeṣābhāvācca asiddhārthatā | taduddharaṇāyāso niṣphalaḥ | prayojanābhāve hi kalpanāpūrvaṅgamānāṃ pravṛttirnāsti, prayojanāvyāpteḥ | tatprayojanavadvyāvṛttau kalpanāpūrvaṅgamānāṃ pravṛtterapi nivṛtteḥ asiddhārthatāsti | hetupratyayavaikalye kramotpādavināśau pratyakṣatayā bhāsete, avaikalye cānutpādaḥ | sattvabhājanalokayorutpadyamānasukhaduḥkhādīnāṃ sthitivināśau kramaśa upalabhyete, tasmānna īśvaro hetuḥ | kasyacidapi bhāvasya utpāda-sthiti-vināśā na yujyante| tasmādapi pratyakṣavirodho 'siddhārtha eva | nānyat pratyakṣato garīyaḥ pramāṇamiti sarvavādiprasiddham | naikānte 'rthakriyā | dayāpratāpābhāve gambhīryaguṇa-darśana-caryā-cintanādi na yujyate | ekāntakriyāyuktā yuktayorgāmbhīryaguṇasya rūpādervā ālambana cintanasyaiva ayuktatvāt, tattu pratikūlam | hetāvasati sarvatra pratyaya eva kathaṃ bhavet | ahetau kārakābhāvāt kathamīṣṭe maheśvaraḥ | bhāvakartā maheśaścet so 'pi kartā na manyate | pitrabhāve sutotpattiḥ sā neṣṭā dṛśyate na ca | hetuniṣyandasādṛśyaṃ manyante yuktivādinaḥ | nityānnityaphalaṃ yuktamanityāccāpyanityakam | śālibījātphalaṃ tasmādaṅkurotpāda īkṣyate | tathā maheśvare nitye bhāvānāṃ syāt sadodbhavaḥ | yathāgnirdāhayetsarvaṃ tathācedīśvaro mataḥ | agnihetustathānyo 'gniḥ īśvare nāsti hetukam | kramapravṛttajvālābhiḥ sarvadāho 'pi manyate | īśvarasyāvikāritvād agnivattvaṃ na yujyate | tasmādīśvarakartṛtvābhyupagame bahudoṣasaṃbhavād bhagavatā bhāvānām utpādaḥ īśvarakṛto na yujyate ityuktam | pare tu sarvaṃ kālena vivartitaṃ manyante | tairevamucyate | sthitirbhāvān samutpādya kālenaiva vivartyate | bhāvotpādasthitī cāpi kālenaiva vivartite | tadevam ucyate | atra kāla iti kiṃ nāma? nityo vā anityo vā, puruṣaḥ strī napuṃsakasvabhāvo vā, devo piśāco vā, mūrto 'mūrto vā, sakriyo niṣkriyo vā | sa nityaścettadā tatra kriyāpekṣā na yujyate | utpādaścetsakṛt so 'pi viruddhatvān na manyate | anityatve 'kālasya hetupratyayayogataḥ | yadi puṃstrīnapuṃsādi yatkiñcitsyād virudhyate | dehyadehikriyādau ca pārasparaviruddhatā | nityatve nirvikāratvāt kriyākarma virudhyate | evaṃ kālavādināṃ kālavaśena bhāvānāmutpāda-sthiti-vināśābhyu-pagamasyāpi ayuktatvāt tadapyasamañjasameva | sūryacandra-nakṣatra-parva-vatsarādi-bāhyābhyantarabhāvānāṃ gatagamyasvabhāvatvāt kālākhyayā bhāvānāmutpāda-sthiti-vināśāstu kālapariṇāmatvena na yujyante| anyacca, svabhāvavādina āntarabāhyān sarvabhāvān svabhāvodbhavān manyante | bhāvānāṃ svabhāva eva, kasyacidbhāvasya utpādasya vināśasya vā kaścidapi heturnāsti | khara-snigdha-uṣṇa-laghutva-ślakṣṇa-tīkṣṇāni svabhāva eva | madhura-amla-lavaṇa-kaṭukāni asattvabhedā eva | deva-mānuṣa-tiryañco rājabrahma-kujātayaḥ | sukṛtaṃ duṣkṛtaṃ cāpi sukhaṃ duḥkhaṃ sadā sthitam | svabhāvavaimatyā tebhyo bhrāntacittebhya evaṃ vaktavyam | svabhāve vikṛte dṛṣṭe pratyakṣādiviruddhatā | vikāro vartate yatra nirvikāraḥ kathaṃ bhavet | vyaktyanekaprabhedācca janma nāśaśca bhāsate | jātervināśasambandhān nirvikāraḥ kathaṃ bhavet | svabhāve nirvikāratvāt puruṣādau nirarthake | kule rājani kṣetrādau tatphalaṃ cāpi bhāsate | svabhāve vikṛte jāte nityavādī tu bhraṃsate | mārgo 'yaṃ yujyate tasmād hetupratyayavādinām | evaṃ svabhāvavādiṣvapi parasparavirodhatvād utpāda-sthiti-vināśānāṃ svabhāvād udbhavo na yujyata ityuktam | atha bhāvānām utpāda-sthiti-vināśā ahetuto bhavanti ityapare 'hetuvādino hetuṃ vinaiva kevalam bhāvānāmutpāda-nirodhau kalpayanti | ahetuvādo 'bhyapagamyeta cet, hetoḥ aniścitatvāt kṛtapraṇāśa-akṛtābhyāgama-anavasthāśca bhaviṣyanti | sukṛta-duṣkṛtādi-pitṛ-putra-brāhmaṇa-rājanya-vaiśya-śūdra-śvapacādi-śucyaśuci-gamyāgamya-bhakṣyābhakṣya-devapiśācādi-dāna-vinaya-saṃyama-japa-tapasyā-upavāsa-niścaya-yāgajñānājñāna-hetvaniścayāt parasparabhedanirṇaya-vyavasthāpi na saṃbhavati | tasmāttasyaiva doṣasya prasajyamānatvād ahetuvādo 'pi lokādi-viruddhatvād asiddha eva | ye cānye pradhāna-paramāṇvādyahetu-pratikūlahetuvādādayaste 'pi tenaiva niṣedhitavyāḥ | tasmān | na svataḥ parato nāpi na dvayoḥ kartṛkālataḥ | īśvarādikṛtaṃ naiva svabhāvānnāpyahetutaḥ || ityuktam | hetupratyayayorvṛttirbhāsate 'nādikālataḥ || iti tu anādi-kālataḥ prapañca-vāsanābījasya avicchinna-nadīstrotaḥ-pravāhavad anupravṛtteḥ hetupratyayayorvṛttirbhāsate 'nādikālataḥ | ityuktam | tasmādeva sūtre atha punaḥ pṛthivyaptejovāyvākāśartudhātusamavāyād bīje nirudhyamāne aṅkurasyābhinirvṛttirbhavati ityuktam | 'atha punaḥ' iti tu abhāvādudbhava-sva-para-dvaya-īśvarādi-rahita-bīja-pṛthivyādi-sāmagryā eva aṅkurādi utpadyata iti uktam | pañcabhirhetubhirbāhyaḥ pratītyotpāda iṣyate | iti | pañcabhirhetubhiriti tu hetupañcakairiti, bāhyasyeti bījādeḥ | 'pratītyotpāda' iti pratītyam | śāśvatato na cocchedān na saṅkrānteḥ parīttataḥ | hertormahāphalāvāptiḥ sadṛśānuprabodhataḥ | ityuktam | 'śāśvatato na' iti yasmādanyadbījam, anyo 'ṅkuraḥ, na ca ya evāṅkurāstadeva bījam, bījamevāpi nāṅkuraḥ | aniruddhād bījādapi aṅkuro notpadyate | na ca niruddhād, tathāpi bījanirodhe aṅkura utpadyate | tasmān na śāśvatato, na cocchedāditi na ca pūrvaniruddhādbījādaṅkuro niṣpadyate nācāpyaniruddhād | api tu bījād niruddhāt tasminneva samaye 'ṅkuro utpadyate | ato nocchedataḥ | na saṃkrāntitaḥ iti tu bījāṅkurau tu asadṛśau eva | tasmāt 'na saṃkrāntitaḥ | parīttataḥ hetoriti- parīttabījavapanān mahāphalāvāptiriti tatparītta-hetorbahuphalābhinirvṛttiḥ, parīttānmahāphalābhi-nirvṛttitvāt, tasmāt parīttahetormahāphalābhinirvṛtiḥ | sadṛśānuprabodhād iti tu yādṛśaṃ bījamupyate tādṛśameva phalābhinirvṛtiriti | atastatsadṛśānuprabandhaḥ | sadṛśāphalābhinirvṛttiḥ | bījāṅkurayorbhinnatvād bījaṃ nityaṃ na vartate | yataścocchedato nāsti bīje sati tathāṅkuraḥ | bījasādṛśyasiddhatvāt tadbhinnaṃ na ceṣyate | aṅkurasya phalādīnāṃ saṅkrāntiścāṅkurasya na | ekabījaṃ parīttāṇoḥ bījatvenaiva sambhavet | tasmāt parīttato hetorjāyate hi mahatphalam | upte śālyādi bīje hi śyāmākādiphalaṃ na hi | tasmādeva - aṅkuro bījavanneṣṭo nirheturno 'ṅkurodbhavaḥ | samo nirodha utpādas tulonnāmāvanāmavat | ityuktam | evam bāhyapratītyasamutpādaḥ parikalpanātmakena anupacayatvena draṣṭavyaḥ | tathaivādhyātmikasyāpi hetuśca pratyayo dvidhā | tathaivādhyātmikasyāpi bāhya-pratītyasamutpādavad hetupratyayākāradvayopa-nibandhanatvāt pṛthak dvividho 'vagantavyaḥ | dvidhā hetuścapratyaya iti tu ādhyātmikaḥ pratītyasamutpādo hetūpanibandhanaḥ pratyayopanibandhanaśca dvayākāro 'vagantavyaḥ | iṣṭa iti abhīṣṭasya ca abhipretasya abhimatasya cetyadhivacanam | tatrādhyātmikasya pratītyasamutpādasya hetūpanibandhaḥ kathamavagantavyaḥ? ucyate - ādiheturavidyāsya mṛtyurantyo yathākramam | tatrādāvavidyādeśanād ādau avidyā, ante maraṇāṅgadeśanatvān mṛtyurante | yattayormadhye syāt tat tu madhya iṣyate | tasmāt sūtre avidyāpratyayāḥ saṃskārāḥ, saṃskārapratyayaṃ vijñānam, vijñānapratyayaṃ nāmarūpam, nāmarūpapratyayaṃ ṣaḍāyatanam, ṣaḍāyatanapratyayaḥ sparśaḥ, sparśapratyayā vedanā, vedanāpratyayā tṛṣṇā, tṛṣṇāpratyaya mupādānam, upādānapratyayo bhavaḥ, bhavapratyayā jātiḥ, jātipratyayā jarāmaraṇa-śoka-parideva-duḥkha-daurmanasyopāyāsāḥ saṃbhavanti | evamasya kevalasya mahato duḥkhaskandhasya samudayo bhavati | ityuktam | sajanmakleśakarmātmā dvādaśāṅgastrikāṇḍakaḥ | hetupratyayasambhūtaḥ karttetyādivivarjitaḥ | kleśa-karma-jāti-paratantro 'yamātmāpi aṃśatrayeṇa vyavasthāpyate | kleśa-paratantrasvabhāvatayā, karmaparatantrasvabhāvatayā janmaparatantrasvabhāvatayā ca | tatra kleśa paratantra-svabhāvatāyā aṅgāni trīṇi-avidyātṛṣṇopādānāni | karma-paratantra-svabhāvatāyāḥ dve aṅge-bhavasaṃskārau | jāti-paratantra lakṣaṇamapi śeṣasaptāṅgam-vijñānam, nāmarūpam, ṣaḍāyatanam, sparśo, vedanā, jātiḥ, jarāmaraṇañceti | apītipadaṃ saṃgrāhyatāṃ darśayati | śoka-paridevanā-daurmanasya-upāyāsādīnāṃ priyaviyogā-priyasaṃprayoga-kāmavipattyādīnāṃ ca saṃgrahaḥ | evam ayaṃ pratītyasamutpādo dvādaśāṅgaḥ trisvabhāvatayā veditavyaḥ | so 'pi kartrādi-svabhāvatā-rahito jñātavyaḥ | atha śālistambasūtraṭīkāyāṃ tṛtīyaṃ paṭalam | avidyā yadi nādau syādante mṛtyurna saṃbhaved | 'avidyā yadi nādau syād' iti tu yadi avidyā cennābhaviṣyan naiva saṃskārāḥ prajñāsyante | tadvad jarāmaraṇaparyantaṃ cennābhaviṣyan naiva śokādi prajñāsyate | tebhyo bhinno na kutrāpi hyātmātmīyaśca vidyate | tatrāvidyāyā naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ saṃskārādi abhinirvartayāmītyato jarāmaraṇaparyantaṃ naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ śokādi abhinirvartayāmīti | saṃskārādīnāmapi naivaṃ bhavati vayamavidyādibhyo 'bhinirvartitāḥ | evam yāvajjarāmaraṇasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati vayaṃ jātyādibhirabhinirvartitā iti | avidyāsaṃbhavādādāvante mṛtyuśca bhāsate | atha ca satyāmavidyāyāṃ saṃskārādyabhinirvṛttirbhavati, prādurbhāvaḥ | evaṃ yāvajjarāmaraṇaṃ, śokaparidevādyabhinirvṛttirbhavati | heturādhyātmikasyāsya | evamādhyātmikasya pratītyasamutpādasya hetūpanibandho draṣṭavyaḥ | kathamādhyātmikasya pratītyasamutpādasya pratyayopanibandho draṣṭavyaḥ? ucyate - pratyayāḥ ṣaṭprakārakāḥ | asyeti tu ādhyātmikasya| pratyayastu sāmagrī ṣaṭ prakārakā iti ṣaḍvidhāḥ | pratyayo 'dhyātmikastvante vijñānaṃ cādike dharā | vijñānasyānte parideśanatvād 'ante vijñānam' | ādike dharā ityucyate | tasmāt sūtre -ṣaṇṇāṃ dhātūnāṃ samavāyāt pṛthivyaptejovāyvākāśa-vijñānādistvādhyātmikasya pratītyasamutpādasya pratyayopanibandho draṣṭavyaḥ | ityuktam | kāṭhinyānugrahau pākaḥ śvāsavṛddhiranāvṛtiḥ | tatra adhyātma-pṛthivīdhātuḥ katamaḥ? yatkāyasambaddha-kaṭhina-karkaśa-rūkṣa-kharagata-keśa-roma-nakha-danta-sveda-mala-carma-māṃsa-snāyu-asthayādi-sadṛśam, anyacca asmin kāye yatkiñcidasti tatsarvaṃ saṃgṛhya pṛthivīdhāturucyate | anugraha tu saṃgrahaḥ, sambandho-mṛduḥ, āliṅganaṃ, piṇḍīkaraṇaṃ snigdhatā ca | tadyathā-aśru-sveda-kapha-siṃghāṇaka-majjā-śukra-mūtra-uccāra-rakta-lasīkā-mastaka-grahaṇī-pakvāśayādiḥ anyaccāsmin kāye tādṛśaṃ snigdha-svabhāvaṃ syājjaladhāturucyate | pāko nāma pācanam-pāka-pācana-pācaka-uṣṇāgnistāpa-tāpana-vṛtiryaścaitatkāyamadhye aśita-pīta-khāditānāṃ samyaksupācakaḥ | anyacca yatkiñcitkaṃ tādṛśaṃ tatsarvaṃ tu tejodhāturucyate | śvāsa iti vāyudhātuḥ | śvāsastu ucchvāsaḥ, āśvāso, bhāṣaṇaṃ, pralāpo, gamanāgamanaṃ kṣayo vṛddhiriti | kāyasya vistāraḥ, saṅkocaḥ, kampanaṃ, calanaṃ, utkṣepaḥ, poṣaṇaṃ, vṛddhiḥ, pīnasaḥ, kāsaḥ, chikkā, ūrdhvavāyuradhovāyuranyaccāpi etatkāyamadhye yatkiñcit tādṛśamasti tatsarvam ekataḥ piṇḍīkṛtya vāyudhāturityucyate | ākāśamiti anāvṛtatvādākāśam | āvaraṇaṃ sapratighaṃ manaścaivādhyātmika pratyayā ime || tatra nāmānuvṛttiḥ rūpānuvṛttiśca ādhyātmikavijñānadhāturityucyate | pañcavijñānasaṃyutaḥ iti tāni pañcavijñānakāyāni, tataḥ kliṣṭaṃ manaścāpi iti kleśamayaṃ manaḥ, tāni ca caturmahābhūtāni ekataḥ piṇḍīkṛtya naḍakalāpayogena nāmarūpamityucyate | tatra nāmeti catvāro 'rūpaskandhāḥ-vedanā, saṃjñā, saṃskāro vijñānaṃ ceti | rūpaṃ nāma pitroḥ śukraśoṇitodbhūtaṃ antarābhavamāśritya yat prathamaṃ nāmarūpābhinirvartanaṃ tanniśritya pūrvaṃnāmarūpābhinirvartanaṃ-manovijñānaṃ sāsravaṃ nivṛta-vyākṛta svabhāvam ātmamohādicatuḥkleśātmakam | ātmamohaḥ, ātmamānam, ātmadṛṣṭiḥ, ātmotkarṣaścetyetatkleśasaṃyutaṃ kliṣṭaṃ mana iti ekataḥ piṇḍīkṛtaṃ nāmarūpamityucyate | dhātūnāṃ sannipātād vai śarīrotpāda iṣyate | anantaroditāḥ ṣaḍdhātavaḥ | sannipātād vai iti tu vaikalyābhāvāt | śarīramiti tu bhūta-bhautika-saṃnipāta-piṇḍam | utpādo nāma prādurbhāvaḥ | iṣyate iti tu anumatam | asya kartrādi na vartate iti bhāvaḥ | ātmātmīyavikalpānāmutpādastairna manyate | īśvarādi-kartṛ-kriyā-karma-virahitatvāt | tadvat jalam, agnirvāyurākāśo vijñānadhātuścāpi nātmā, na sattvo, na jīvo, na jantuḥ, na manujo, na mānavo, na strī, na pumān, na napuṃsakam na cāhaṃ na mama śītasvabhāvatvād aṣṭau śītanarakāśca | pratyekaḥ prādeśikaśca narakaḥ, pretāśrayaḥ, tiryagāśrayaḥ, asurāāśrayaḥ | caturdvīpāḥ, aṣṭau antardvīpāśca | tatra pretāśrayastu marau aṭavīkāntāre ca | tadbhinnastu vibhāgaḥ - manuja(saṃjñā), mānava(saṃjñā), ahaṃkāra-mamakārasaṃjñā | evamādi vividhamajñānamiyamucyate 'vidyeti deśitam | tatra pṛthivīdhātoraṣṭadravyatvād ekasaṃjñā na yujyate | paramāṇūnāṃ parasparaṃ saṃcayātmakatvāt piṇḍagrāho na yujyate | hetupratyayayoḥ sambaddhapravṛteḥ nityasaṃjñā na yujyate | cirakālam asthitatvād dhruvasaṃjñā na yujyate | sahotpāda-vināśatvān na śāśvatasaṃjñā | saṃskāra-vipariṇāma-duḥkhānvitatvān na sukhasaṃjñā | ṣaṭtriṃśad-vidhāśucidravyasamavāyān na śuci saṃjñā | bhūta-bhautika-dravya-vaipulyān na ātmasaṃjñā | cittacaitasikādhiṣṭhānatvān na sattvasaṃjñā | kriyābhāvān na jīvasaṃjñā | api ca | gamanāgamanarahitatvān na pudgalasaṃjñā asti | ahaṃmamamanyanāvirahitvān na manuja-mānavasaṃjñā | ahaṃmametyādi-rahitatvān manujādisaṃjñā na yujyate | evaṃ ṣaṇṇāṃ dhātūnāṃ tadanityādisvabhāvasya yadajñānaṃ iyamavidyetyucyate | tatra avidyeti tu vidyā na bhūtatvād avidyā | na tu vidyābhāvaḥ, abhāvastu na kiñcidapi | avidyā vidyābhinnā vidyāntaramevasti | tasmād abhāvo niṣedho 'pi nāsti, paratvamapi nāsti | atha kimiti cet? virodhaḥ | avidyā tu na vidyābhāvaḥ vidyādharmato viruddhā avidyeti ucyate | paranirmitavaśavarti taddevo - pariprabhṛti parīttābha-apramāṇābha-ābhāsvarāḥ | tṛtīyestu parīttaśubha-apramāṇaśubha-śubhakṛtsnāḥ | caturthe -anabhraka-puṇyaprasava-bṛhatphalāḥ | śuddhāvāsāstu avṛha-atapa-sudarśana-sudṛga-kaniṣṭhāḥ | caturdhyānabhūmayaḥ-savitarka-avitarka-sukha-upekṣāsaṃprayuktāḥ-dhyānāntara-anāgamyabhūmaya imā yā ajñānam, adarśanam, anabhisamitā imā apyavidyetyucyante | yāśca nāmamātraṃ saṃjñāvabhāsa-vijñapti-vikalpodbhavāḥ catasra ārūpyasamāpattaya ākāśa-vijñānākiñcana-naivasaṃjñānāsaṃjñāyatanam yaccājñāna-anabhisamiti-adarśana-midamapyavidyetyucyate | tasmādeva bhagavatā- svacittayogayogeśo viśuddhayudbhavabhūstathā | jñānaṃ samādhiḥ rūpaṃ ca vaśitāprativedinaḥ | ityuktam | tatrāpi yadakliṣṭamajñānam, adarśanam, anabhisaṃmatam, anavabodhabhāvanāmārga-jñānotpāda-bādhakaṃ tadapyavidyā ityucyate | tasmādavidyātamastimirapaṭalena nayanāvṛtatvād viṣayeṣu rūpa-śabda-gandha-rasa-sparśa-dharmākāravijñaptiviparyaya-vikalpavāsanāvabhāsatvena nitya-ātma-sukha-śucyādi-viparyāsatvād rāga-dveṣa-moha-vistārād rāgajaṃ karmāpi abhisaṃskaroti | iṣṭavighātakatvād dveṣotpannaṃ karmāpi abhisaṃskaroti | amārge mārgasaṃjñatvād, aśuciṣu śucisaṃjñatvād, amuktau mukti saṃjñatvācca mohajamapi abhisaṃskaroti | taddvayavyāvṛttyā aniñjyamapi abhisaṃskaroti | tatpratyayāt tannidānācca vidyāyāṃ rāga-dveṣa-moha-ahaṃkāra-dṛṣṭi-saṃśaya-īrṣyā-mātsaryānugāmanād akuśala-kāyakarmata ātmano jñānasya ca paritrāṇārtha prāṇātipātaḥ adattādānaṃ, kāmamithyācāraḥ, unmādahetukaṃ madyapānam anyathā-nīpsita-vipākābhinirvartanamapi abhisaṃskaroti | vāco mṛṣāvāda-paiśunya-pāruṣya-pralāpairaniṣṭavipākābhinirvartanamapi abhisaṃskaroti | mānasa-karmaṇo rāga-dveṣa mohādiḥ pratyakṣaḥ, ityuktam | tatra avidyayā iti avidyā-pratyayena saṃskārabhāvābhisaṃskāritvād vibhāvitaṃ saṃskārabhāva-prativijñaptisvabhāvaṃ vijñānamabhinirvartate | tasmādeva tataḥ saṃskṛtabhāvānāṃ jñaptirvijñānasaṃbhavā | iti uktam | tataḥ iti tu saṃskāramāśritya bhāvānāṃ vijñaptiriti tu vijñāpakatvād vijñaptiḥ | vijñāne karmavāsanā-sthāpanam ityadhivacanam | vijñānena sahodbhūtāścatusskandhā arūpiṇaḥ | iti vijñānena sahodgatā iti tu vijñānasya hetuta udbhūtāḥ | catuḥskandhā arūpiṇaḥ | iti tu catvāro vijñāna-skandhāḥ vedanā-saṃjñā-saṃskāra-vijñānamityādayaḥ | arūpiṇastu-bhūta-bhautika-saṃcayākāra-rahitatvāt santi, na tu nityam | atha kimiti cet? cittacaitasikasvabhāvo 'sti | skandhatvaṃ tu vipula-dravyātmakatvāt | rūpaṃ tu dhātucatuṣṭayam | apekṣya viṣayeṣu indriyavijñānasaṃnipātāt sparśaḥ | indriyavijñānaṃ rūpādiviṣayeṣu sparśa iva nirāntarameva pravartate | atra sparśastu kiñcidapi nāsti | asaṃcita-pañcavijñānāni saṃcita viṣayendriyaiḥ sparśasahabhavā vedanetyuktam | tadvat kiñcidvedanāsvādasaktā abhiniveśātmikā hi vedanāhetukī tṛṣṇeti tṛṣṇodbhavaḥ | tasmādeva tṛṣṇa ca vedanodgatā ityuktam | tṛṣṇeti tridhāturāgaḥ | rāgo kuśalamakuśalama-vyākṛtādi tūpādānam | upādānārthena upādānam | upapañcamādānaṃ upādānam | yathāgṛhīta-svakarma-pathyadanasya paravaśād upādānādutpādaḥ punarbhava ityucyate | tasmādeva upādānodgato bhava ityuktam | svakarmavāsanāyā yathāvadavabhāsākāra-vijñapti-vikalpanā-vaśenodbhūtasya punarbhavasyābhinirvartanād bhava iti, purnarbhūtatvāt | yathāvat svakarma-vāsanāvaśena iti skandhānāmutpādaḥ| dhātvāyatanaprāptirapi saṃkṣepeṇa jātirityucyate | tatra skandhastu anekadravyasaṃrāśyarthastu skandhārthaḥ | athavā anityatayaiva dhvaṃsatvāt, utpādānantarameva anityatārākṣasena bhakṣaṇaṃ, pratihananaṃ, vināśanam ityadhivacanam | evamabhinirvṛttau utpādahetunā jātipratyayena jaraiva abhinirvartate, tasmādeva jāterevaṃ jarāpi ca ityuktam | jātipratyayābhinirvartitaskandhānāṃ jīrṇatā tu jarā | daurbalya-khālitya-pālitya-balikāpūrṇatā-vibhugnatā-kubjatva-daurbalya-kharakharatva-daṇḍāvaṣṭambha caryāvyakti-indriyabhraṃśa-smṛtibhraṃśāḥ iti tādṛśī tu jāti-pratyayena bhinirvartita-skandhānāṃ svakarmākāriṇī vijñaptyavabhāsa-vikalpanāvāsanā-vaśenotpannā jīrṇatā jaretyucyate | evaṃ jarājīrṇa-skandhānyathātvaṃ maraṇamityucyate | tasmādevoktam - skandhābhāvo jarāyā yaḥ sa mṛtyuścetyudīryate | tatra jareti ślathībhūta-jarāpratyayena maraṇasaṃbhavaḥ | tatra maraṇamiti skandhānyathātvam | maraṇa-mṛta-kālakṛta-paralokagamana-saṃkrānti-gati-skandha-vidhvaṃsana-skandhanāśa-āyuḥkṣaya-jīvendriyanirodhetyetādṛśādi-saṃgraho jarāmaraṇam | maraṇāvabhāsākāra-vijñaptivikalpanāvaśena udbhūtaḥ skandhanāśo maraṇam | antāvasthā, antaśayanaṃ, vijñānasaṃkramaṇaṃ, ūṣmahāniḥ, āyurviyogaḥ, kāyikānukaulyatyāgaḥ, bhavasaṃkrāntiḥ, yaśca vijñānāntimāvasthāśrayocchedādyutpanno bahudhāpralāpaḥ, grahaṇam, daurbalyaṃ, parijīrṇatā, dainyaṃ, nirodhānirodhakaḥ, mukhadaurvarṇyaṃ, anāthatā, svakarmavikalpanodbhūta-yamapuruṣaiḥ paraspara-samādānāvabhāsavijñaptiḥ, svalpamātrao-prāṇāvaśeṣe śvāsapraśvāsodbhavā aratiḥ, prakampaḥ, kaṇṭhapariśoṣaṇam, nāsikācchedaḥ, svedaḥ, kledo malaṃ, svamūtroccāra-lālāśarīralepaḥ, niḥsahāyo, mahāndhakāra-prapāta-parvata-pariṣaṇḍa-gahanāṭavī-śūnyālaya-gṛha-prāsāda-ūrdhva-maṇḍapa-kūṭāgāra-agni-kuṇḍa-mahāhrada-palālaskandhagamanam iva cittaviparyastasya skandhāntaragrahaṇaṃ maraṇamityucyate | mūḍhe tu maraṇācchokaḥ | iti satṛṣṇasya antardāhaḥ śokaḥ | antardāhaśca cittaparitāpaḥ | śocanārthena śokaḥ | atha mama priyavastu-iṣṭavastu-viyogo bhaviṣyati iti khidyamānasya santāpācchoka ityucyate | yathākarmodgatākārāvabhāsa-vijñaptyābhibhūtasya ānanda-bhaya-aniṣṭākārotpanno marmoccheda-duḥkha-citta-khedodbhūta-śokāntarotthaḥ-aho, hāhā, kiṃ, kena, katham, kutra śaraṇaṃ gatvā paśyāmi, iha gacchāmi, gato 'ham, gṛhītaḥ, hataḥ, mṛtaḥ, bhakṣitaḥ, vinaṣṭaḥ, pranaṣṭaḥ, aho mātaḥ, aho pitaḥ, bhrātaḥ, bhagini, putra, putri, he bhārya iti anekadhā pralāpo mithyāpadanirnādotpannaḥ yad anyadetādṛśādi upakleśaḥ, sa tu kleśo 'pyucyate, upāyāsa ityucyate | tatra eṣāṃ dvādaśabhavāṅgānām anvartha nāmāni darśayituṃ - tamo 'bhijñānāmarūpāyatasparśavittarṣataḥ | ityuktam | tatra puṇyopagānāṃ saṃskārāṇāṃ puṇyopagameva vijñānaṃ bhavati | apuṇyopagānāṃ saṃskārāṇāmapuṇyopagameva vijñānaṃ bhavati | āneñjyopagānāṃ saṃskārāṇāmāneñjyopagameva vijñānaṃ bhavati | idamucyate vijñānapratyayaṃ nāmarūpam | nāmarūpavivṛddhayā ṣaḍbhirāyatanadvārai kṛtyakriyāḥ pravartante | tannāmarūpapratyayaṃ ṣaḍāyatanamityucyate | ṣaḍbhyaścāyatanebhyaḥ ṣaṭsparśakāyāḥ pravartante | ayaṃ ṣaḍāyatanapratyayaḥ sparśa ityucyate | yajjātīyaḥ sparśo bhavati, tajjātīyā vedanā pravartate | iyamucyate sparśapratyayā vedaneti | yastāṃ vedanāṃ viśeṣeṇāsvādayati, abhinandati, adhyavasāyaṃ tiṣṭhati sā vedanāpratyayā tṛṣṇetyucyate | āsvādanādhyavasānādhyavasāyasthānādātmapriyarūpa-sātarūpa-viyogo mābhūditi yasya bhūyaḥ praṇidhānamiyaṃ tṛṣṇā pratyayopādānetyucyate | evaṃ prārthayamānaḥ punarbhavajanakaṃ karma samutthāpayati kāyena vācā manasā ca sa upādāna-pratyayo bhava ityucyate | tatkarmanirjātānāṃ pañcaskandhānām abhinirvṛttiryā sā bhavapratyayo jātirityucyate | jātyābhinirvṛttānāṃ skandhānāmupacayana-paripākādvināśo bhavati | tadidaṃ jātipratyayaṃ jarāmaraṇamityucyate| pūrvapūrvāṅgānāmuttarottarāṇāṃ hetutvāt, tāni uttarodbhavāt pratyaya eva | evamayaṃ dvādaśāṅgaḥ pratītyasamutpādo-'nyonyahetukodbhūtaḥ | dvādaśāṅgastripravṛttirnityocchedo hyanādijaḥ| pravṛtterjaladhārāvad vartate 'nādikālikaḥ | nānityaḥ sa tu satataṃ sthitatvāt | na saṃskṛta iti tu saṃskāraviyuktatvāt | sa na cetanaḥ cittaviyuktatvāt | na pratyayasambhava iti pratyayaviyuktatvāt | na kṣayadharmastūpacayaviyuktatvāt | na nirodhadharmaḥ utpāda-sthiti-vināśa-viyuktatvāt | anādikālapravṛttastu sandhikāla-pariccheda-viyuktatvāt | nadīstrotavat strotodbhūta anucchinnapravāhaḥ | atha āryaśālistambasūtra-ṭīkāyāṃ caturtho 'ntimaḥ paṭalaḥ | pratītyasamutpādo 'yaṃ nadīstrotavat avicchinno 'nupravartate | atha cemānyasya catvāryaṅgāni hetuḥ saṃghātakārakāṇi ca, dvādaśāṅgasya pratītyasamutpādasya catvāryaṅgāni saṃghātakriyāyai hetutvena pravartante | tasmāt katamāni catvāri? ityuktam| avidyā ca tṛṣā karma vijñānaṃ kramaśo matāḥ | avidyā, tṛṣṇā, karma, vijñānañceti yathākramam | heturvijñānabījaṃ hi | vijñānaṃ bīja-svabhāvatvena hetuḥ | karma kṣetramudīritam | karma kṣetra-svabhāvatvena heturityuktam | avidyā tṛṣṇā ca kleśasvabhāvatvena hetuḥ | karmakleśā vijñānabījatvena vyavasthitāḥ | karmakleśā vijñānabījaṃ janayanti | tatra karma vijñānabījasya kṣetrakāryaṃ karoti ca | vijñānanāmakaṃ bījaṃ tṛṣṇayā snihyate param | vijñānabījaṃ cāvidyā kirati snehanena vai | karma tṛṣṇā tathāvidyā kṣetraṃ sneho 'vakīrṇanam | vijñāne na karomīdaṃ na vijñānamito matam | tatra karmaṇo 'pi naivaṃ bhavati ityādi tu karmaṇo 'pi naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ vijñāna-bījasya kṣetrakāryaṃ karomi| tṛṣṇāyā api ityādi tu evaṃ tṛṣṇāyā api naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ vijñānabījaṃ snehayāmīti | avidyāyā api ityādi tu avidyāyā api naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ vijñānabījamavakiromīti | vijñānasyāpi ityādi tu naivaṃ bhavati ahamebhiḥ pratyayairjanitamiti | tathāpi bījavijñāne karmakleśapratiṣṭhite | vijñānabījamityuktaṃ kīrṇe 'vidyāsvavaskare | tṛṣṇājalena saṃsikte avidyā-svavaskara iti svavaskareṇa ca sadṛśena svavaskaraṃ sarveṣvanugata-tvāt | kīrṇe svavaskare iti svavaskareṇa pracchādanam | tṛṣṇājalena saṃsikte tṛṣṇaiva jalam | saṃsikte iti tu snehane | hetuto nāmarūpayoḥ | aṅkurotpādabhāso hi | iti tu hetu pratyayasāmagyā utpādastu nāmarūpāṅkuramabhinirvartayati | nāmarūpāṅkuram ityādestu | na svaparobhayāditāḥ | nāmarūpamidaṃ jātaṃ | nāmarūpāṅkuramidaṃ tu svayaṃ parata ubhayādito notpannam | atha kīdṛśam iti cet | piturmātuḥ samāgamāt | avirodhādṛtoścāpi | piturmātuḥ samāgamād ityādi tu pitṛmātṛsaṃyogo vā saktiḥ, samāgamaḥ, yuktatvam, putraprasūtisāmarthyam, ṛtumatvañca | 'tridivasātyaye rajonivṛttistu' sa hi strīṇām ṛturucyate | tadā puruṣasamāgame śukraśoṇitasaṃyoge, svayaṃ gandharvasyāpi citta-viparyaye 'pi mātāpitṛkriyādhimuktau garbhotpādakrameṇa kalala-arbuda-peśī-ghana-praśākhāvasthāmatikramya prasūtasya, śaiśava-kaumārya-madhyatā-yauvana-vṛddhattvādi-daśāvasthā bhavanti | tasmādapyuktam- kiñcidāsvādave dhitam | bījavijñānamityuktaṃ mātṛgarbhe kramāccayaḥ | nāmarūpāṅkurotpādaḥ | atha ca mātāpitṛsaṃyogād-ṛtusamavāyād anyeṣāṃ ca pratyayānāṃ samavāyāttatrāsvādaviddhaṃ vijñānabījaṃ mātuḥ kukṣau nāmarūpāṅkuramabhinirvartayati | na vaikalyācca pratyayaiḥ | virodhatvācca hetūnāṃ māyānairātmyanigrahe | utpādo 'pi na saṃbhavaḥ | tasmād asvāmikeṣu dharmeṣu amameṣu aparigraheṣu māyālakṣaṇasvabhāveṣu hetupratyayānāmavaikalyādityuktam | asvāmikeṣu iti tu antaḥ karaṇaṃ puruṣādi anupalambhanasvabhāvamasti | tatrābhiniveśenotpanno ya āgrahaḥ | dharmastu skandhadhātu-āyatana-svabhāvaḥ | amama iti ātmātmīyarahitaḥ | aparigraha iti tu īśvarādi-parigrahānupalambhāt | māyālakṣaṇa-svabhāva iti yathā māyā tu abhūtāpi vividhavyavahāraṃ pratipādayati, tadvat māyāsvabhāvasya sarvadharmeṣu kriyādirvividhopalabhyate | hetupratyaya-saṃnipāta-vyatiriktaṃ hetupratyayādidharmaḥ kiñcidapi na utpadyate, vinaśyati vā | yathāpi hetupratyayavaikalyatvād bhāvānām anutpādastadavabodhayituam upamā | cakṣurvijñānamapyataḥ | pañcabhirhetubhirjātam | ityuktam | tadyathā pañcabhiḥ kāraṇaiścakṣurvijñānamutpadyate | katamaiḥ pañcabhirityādistu - cakṣūrūpāvabhāsanaiḥ | nabhastajja manaskāraiḥ | iti | tasmāt cakṣuḥ pratītya rūpañcālokañcākāśañca tajjamanasikārañca ityādi uktam | tatra cakṣuriti rūpaṃ draṣṭuṃ cakṣurindriyaṃ vikalaṃ bhavati | tasmādeva cakṣurvijñānasyāśrayakṛtyaṃ karoti ityuktam | āloka iti candra-nakṣatrāgni-auṣadhi-maṇi-prabhānām abhivyaktyai āloko 'pi upasthitaḥ | ākāśo 'pi nānāvṛtti-vikalo bhavati | tajjamanasikāro 'pi samanvāhāra-kārye 'vikalo bhavati | pañcāvaikalyatastathā | cakṣurvijñānamudbhūtam | cakṣurvijñānasya pratyayeṣu kasyacidapyabhāve na cakṣurvijñānasyotpādaḥ, sati cotpādo bhavati | mayā te janitā iti | vikalpo na yathodeti iti tatra cakṣuṣo naivaṃ bhavati 'ahaṃ cakṣurvijñānasyāśraya-kṛtyaṃ karomīti | rūpasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati, ahaṃ cakṣurvijñānasyālambanakṛtyaṃ karomīti | ālokasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ cakṣurvijñānasyāvabhāsakṛtyaṃ karomīti | ākāśasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ cakṣurvijñānasyāvaraṇakṛtyaṃ karomīti | tajjamanasikārasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati ahaṃ cakṣurvijñānasya samanvāhāra-kṛtyaṃ karomīti | cakṣurvijñānasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati ahamebhiḥ pratyayairjanitamiti | atha ca punaḥ satsveṣu pratyayeṣu cakṣurvijñānasyotpattirbhavati | asatsveṣu na bhavati | evaṃ śrotrajñānādikā khilam | utpādasya kramaścaivaṃ tadvat śrotrendriyādīnāṃ pañcabhirhetubhirutpādakramo 'vagantavyaḥ | hetupratyayasaṅgrahāt | kartrādīnāṃ ca vaikalyād ahaṃkāraviyogataḥ | utpādo 'pi yathāpūrvaṃ tathā cāpi pratītyajam | hetumatsaṃvijānīyāt tathā cāpi hetupratyayakramo 'nantarokta-kramaḥ | evaṃ sarvadharmāṇām utpāda-sthiti-vināśā avagantavyāḥ | asmāllokāt paraṃnahi | kaściddharmo kvacid gantā hetupratyayatastathā | karmaṇaḥphalamabhyeti tatra dharmastu cakṣuḥ-śrotra-ghrāṇa-jihvā-kāya-mana-ādayo dharmāḥ | rūpa-śabda-gandha-rasa-sparśādayo dharmāḥ, skandha-dhātvāyatana-pratītyasamutpādādayo dharmāḥ | asmāditi tu asmāllokāt paraṃ lokam athavā paralokād amuṃ lokaṃ kaściddharmo na saṃkrāmati | yadyevaṃ nityavādo vā ahetu-pratikūla-hetuvādo vā bhaviṣyatīti cet | ucyate | hetupratyayavaikalyābhāvāt karmaṇaḥ phalamabhyeti iti | tatra saṅkrāntyabhāve 'pi karmaphalāvināśitvaṃ pratyakṣānumāna-viśvastāgama-prakhyātena anenodāharaṇena jñātavyam | yathādarśe viśodhite | dṛśyante mukhabimbāni darpaṇe 'pi ca bimbakam | saṃkrāmitaṃ bhavennaiva tasmād uktam | tadyathā- supariśuddha ādarśamaṇḍale mukha-pratibimbakaṃ dṛśyate | na ca tatrādarśamaṇḍale mukhaṃ saṃkrāmati | asti ca mukha prativijñapti rhetupratyayānāmavaikalyāt | evamasmāllokānna kaściccyavate nāpyanyatrotpadyate | asti ca karmaphalavijñaptirhetupratyayānāmavaikalyāt | tadanyonyāvikalpanam | kartṛkriyāvihīnaṃ tat tathotpādāvabhāsanam | pūrvavṛddhikramācca syāt taditi tu mukham ādarśaśca | anyonyam iti parasparam anyonyam | avikalpanamiti vikalpanābhāvaḥ | kartṛkriyāvihīnaṃ tad iti tatra kartā kriyā ca na staḥ | kiṃ tannocchidyata iti cet- tathotpādāvabhāsanam ityuktam | kathaṃ kartṛvihīnaṃ kriyā karma ca bhaviṣyatīti ucyate- pūrvavṛddhikramācca syāt | dūrasthaścandramā yathā | parītto dakapātrānte dṛśyate na ca krāmati | asti kriyā ca karmāpi | tadyathā - candramaṇḍalaṃ [dvi] catvāriṃśadyojana-śatamūrdhvaṃ sthitam | atha ca punaḥ parītte 'bhyudakabhājane candrasya pratibimbaṃ dṛśyate | na ca candramaṇḍalaṃ tasmātsthānāc cyutam | atha ca punaḥ parītte 'bhyudakasthabhājane dṛśyate | asti ca candramaṇḍalaprativijñaptiḥ, hetupratyayānāmavaikalyāt | evamasmāllokānna kaścid cyavate nāpyutpadyate | asti ca karmaphala-prativijñaptiḥ hetupratyayānāmavaikalyāt | api ca, tadyathāgnirupādāne pratyaye sati jvalati upādāna-vaikalyānna jvalati | evameva karmakleśajanitaṃ vijñānabījaṃ tatra tatropapattyāyatana-pratisandhau mātuḥkukṣau nāmarūpāṅkuramabhinirvartayati | asvāmikeṣu dharmeṣu aparigraheṣu paraspara-pratyayamanmāyālakṣaṇasvabhāveṣu hetupratyayānāmavaikalyāt | santi te kalpanātmakāḥ | bāhyakarmakriyā hetuḥ tatra bāhyapratītyasamutpādasya kriyākarma-vyavasthā tu kalpanātmikā jñeyā | adhyātmaparatantrataḥ | pañcavijñānasaṃbhūtaḥ tatra paratantra-pratītyasamutpādasya lakṣaṇamadhyātma-pañcendriya-viṣaya-vijñaptyavabhāsākāratvena veditavyam | paramārtho 'vicāryataḥ | pariniṣpanna ākhyātaḥ yo vikalpa-paratantrātmākāro vijñaptyavabhāsākārarahito nirvikalpaḥ supariśuddhaśca, abdhātu-suvarṇa-ākāśavat pariśuddhaḥ | kleśa-jñeyāvaraṇa-svarūpa-pariśuddhaḥ candrodayavad, acintyaguṇaḥ, aprameya-prabhāva-bhāsātmakaḥ, asaṃkrāntaḥ sarvasattvārtham anābhogāvicchedakaḥ, ādimadhyāntarahitaḥ, tridhātu-samatīto nirmalo-'malo malaprahāṇa-svarūpaḥ | pratisvasaṃvid-gocarātmaka-kāya-vāk-cittakarma-samatītaḥ, svasaṃvedanaḥ, aparādhīno viśvarūpamaṇiratnarāja iva anuttaro dharmakāya ityucyate | sahetupratyayodbhavaḥ | sarvadā dvividho jñeyaḥ kartrādirahitastathā | tucchaśūnyādiniḥ sāraḥ tasmāt tatrādhyātmikaḥ pratītyasamutpādaḥ pañcabhirākārairdraṣṭavyaḥ | ityuktam | katamaiḥ pañcabhiḥ? uktam | na śāśvatato | yasmādanye maraṇāntikāḥ skandhā anya aupapattyaṃśikāḥ skandhāḥ | na tu ya eva maraṇāntikāḥ skandhāsta evaupapattyaṃśikāḥ | ya evopapatti-hetavasta eva vināśakāḥ | ya eva vināśa-hetussa evāpi aupapattiko bhaviṣyati | ato maraṇāntikāḥ skandhā nirudhyante aupapattyaṃśikā skandhāḥ prādurbhavanti | ato na śāśvatataḥ | na ca pūrvaniruddheṣu maraṇāntikeṣu skandheṣu iti niruddhaya na ciraṃ gatatvād aupapattyaṃśikā iti aupapattyaṃśe niśritatvād aupapattyaṃśikāḥ skandhāḥ prādurbhavanti | maraṇāntikā aniruddhā eva | aupapattyaṃśikaḥ skandhaḥ prādurbhavet, tada-yuktatvāduktam- api tu maraṇāntikāḥ skandhā nirudhyante, tasminneva ca samaye aupapattyaṃśikā skandhā prārdubhavanti, tulādaṇḍonnāmāvanāmavat | ato nocchedataḥ, visadṛśāḥ sattvanikāyāḥ sabhāgāyāṃ jātyāṃ jātimabhinirvartayanti | ato na saṃkrāntitaḥ parīttakarma kriyate, vipulaḥ phalavipāko 'nubhūyate | ataḥ parītta-hetuto vipulaphalamabhinirvartitam | yathāvedanīyaṃ karma kriyate tadāvedanīyo vipāko 'nubhūyate | atastatsadṛśānuprabandhataśca | yaḥ kaścid imaṃ pratītyasamutpādaṃ samyakpraṇītamevaṃ rogataḥ, gaṇḍataḥ, aghataḥ, anityataḥ, duḥkhataḥ, śūnyataḥ, anātmataḥ | iti | ya imaṃ pratītyasamutpādamiti ādhyātmikapratītyasamutpādam | yadimaṃ samyag iti aviparītam | prajñayā iti lokottaraprajñayā | yathābhūtamiti tu tathatāyathāvat | satatasamitamiti sarvakālamavicchinnam | ajīvam iti prāṇa-kartrādi-viyukta-tvādajīvam | ajātamiti jātirahitatvāt | abhūtamiti sthiti-rahitatvāt | akṛtamiti karturabhāvāt | asaṃskṛtamiti saṃskṛta-lakṣaṇa-rahitatvāt | apratighamiti āvaraṇa-rahitatvāt | anālambanamiti ālambyālambaka-rahitatvāt | śivamiti śāntatvāt | abhayamiti tu utpādādi-bhayarahitatvāt | anāhāryamiti kleśa-pāratantrya-rahitatvāt | avyayamiti satataṃ vyavasthitatvāt | avyupaśamamiti ekāntaśamagatirahitatvāt | 'asataḥ' skandhāt pṛthaganyābhāvāt | tucchata iti muktātmano hrasvalohavad ekāntasya abhāvāt | riktata iti antasthita-svarūpātmadravyābhāvāt | asārata iti spharaṇātmakatābhāvāt | rogata iti rogātmaka-skandhāt pṛthaktvābhāvat | gaṇḍata iti skandhānatiriktabādhakāntarā-bhāvāt | apratighata iti karmakleśātirikta-bādhakasvarūpāntarābhāvāt | anityata iti sahopapādavināśaḥ skandhāt pṛthaganyana svabhāvāt | duḥkhata iti saṃskāravipariṇāmaduḥkhābhyāṃ pārthakyābhāvāt | śūnyata iti kalpanā svabhāvatayā abhūta-parikalpanāyāḥ pṛthakatvābhāvāt | anātmata iti skandhānatiriktamātmadravyābhāvāt | kartrādirahitastathā | tucchaśūnyādiniḥsāraḥ prajñayaivaṃ ya īkṣitaḥ | kiṃ kathaṃ vā kutaḥ kena kalpavādādi hānitaḥ| anantācintya guṇyakam | śāntaṃ dharmātmakaṃ kāyam | tathatārthaṃ sa eva pūrvāntaṃ na pratisarati ityuktam śramaṇa-brāhmaṇānāṃ pṛthagloke dṛṣṭigatāni bhaviṣyanti ityādi | dṛṣṭigatāni iti dṛṣṭisthāni | pṛthagiti bhinnameva | tadyatheti tu nidarśanārtham | ātmavāda-pratisaṃyuktānīti skandha-vyatirikta-ātmabhāvaḥ | avicārata ātmātmīyeti svabhāvātmagraha-saṃyuktatvād ātmavādaprati-saṃyuktānītyuktam | viparītadhāraṇā-samutthānārthaṃ pudgalavāda-pratisaṃyuktānītyādi tu punargamanatvāt pudgala iti skandha-vyatiriktaḥ | yasyāmuṃ lokaṃ tyaktvā paraloka-gamanasya paralokaṃ vihāya amuṃ etallokagamanasya cābhāvāt grahaṇa-durviparītagrahaṇamityuktam | kautuka-maṅgalavāda-pratisaṃyuktānīti | kautukastu lokaśilpasthānaṃ, yacca vividhavidyāsthāne utsava-āvāha-vivāha-kalaha-yuddhaiḥ, udyāna-nadī-sāgara-parvata-vaneṣu tattad-bhinneṣu ca āryasya gamana-darśana-saṃkramaṇa-pravṛtti-āvāsānuramaṇakrīḍā-sukhā-svāda-nṛtya-gīta-padālāpa-dhāvana-laṃghanaiḥ, adbhuta-puruṣa-strī-dāraka-dārikā-vigrahakathā-vāda-prahelikoktibhiḥ, gajāśvādi-yodhanaiḥ, dūrvā-dadhi-gorocanā-kṣetrahala-mudgara-puṣpa-phala-kalaśa-śaṅkha-matsyā-dibhiḥ, brāhmaṇa-ṛṣabha-candra-sūrya-graha-nakṣatra-tārā-kṣaṇa-yoga-karaṇādinaimittikā-dibhiḥ ātmaśuddhayanveṣaṇam | viparītānekākāra-pralamba-rajjulambye 'mārge mārgasaṃjñā, aśucau śucisaṃjñā, amunau munisaṃjñayā ṣaḍjagaccakra-praviṣṭa-buddhimato gamanaṃ gamyaṃ ca saṃsāramevānusaranti na tu nirvāṇamiti | teṣāṃ samyak prajñayā darśane caturvidhaviparyaya-rahitatvāt samucchinnamūlāni tālavṛkṣamastakavadanābhāsagatāni āyatyāmanutpāda-nirodhadharmāṇi iti | tasmādevoktam | tathā kaścicca na cyutaḥ | janmābhāso 'pyasaṃlloke tasmād udāharaṇam- yathāpādapasaṅgataḥ | vahnistrotapravṛttiḥ syāt hetuvaikalyatastathā | nānupravartate hyagniḥ tathā iti yathā candrasya rūpe dūrasthite 'pi parīttajalabhājaneṣu jale vipulatailapātreṣu vā avabhāsate | candrarūpasaṃkrāntiranekatvaṃ vāpi nāsti, tathāpi anekajalapātreṣu dṛśyate | evam asmānna kaściccyuto na gato nāgato, hetupratyayavaikalyāt cyuti-gamanāgamanāvabhāsāḥ | tadvajjalabhājanavat sattvasantānasya jagataḥ sthānāntareṣu bahurūpeṇa cittacandrabimbotpādaḥ, hetupratyayāvaikalyāt | kuśalākuśalāneñjyādi-hetoryathākṣepā tatrāvabhāsākārā vijñaptirudbhavati | ātmātmīyaviyuktaḥ sarvabhāveṣu pratītyasamutpādakramo 'vagantavyaḥ | avicchedo - dāharaṇam- yathāpādapasaṅgataḥ | vahnistrotaḥ pravṛttiḥ syāt | karmakleśa-lipta-cittasantānaṃ vahnistrotonibaddhamindhanaṃ tu karmakleśata eva syāditi parīkṣyate | yathā - agnīndhanahetukaṃ jvalanam avicchinnam | indhanābhāve vicchinnam, tadvad atrāpi karmakleśendhanamucchidya saṃkleśālaya-vijñānabījao-santāne jñānāgni-saṃyogād dagdhe sati hetu-nirodhān na phalodbhavaḥ | tasmādevoktam - yānyekeṣāṃ śramaṇa-brāhmāṇānāṃ tadyathā iti ito bāhyānām lokastu lokaḥ | naśyan-naśyan gatyarthaḥ, lujyatatvāllokaḥ | viśīryamāṇa ityadhivacanam | dṛṣṭigatānīti dṛgdarśanam viparīta-śāstraśravaṇacintanādimithyā-jñānodbhavaṃ mithyā-jñānaṃ tu dṛṣṭirityucyate | pṛthak tu bhinnam | tadyathā - ātmavāda-pratisaṃyuktānītyādi tu pañcopādāna-skandheṣu rūpa-vedanā-saṃjñā-saṃskāra-vijñārnoṣvati ātmātmīya-rahiteṣu, ātmatvena samyagdṛṣṭiryā kliṣṭaprajñā sā dṛṣṭiḥ | satkāyāntadṛṣṭi-śīla-vrata-mithyādṛṣṭipūrvakaṃ kuprajñāvidyāsaṃprayuktatvād dṛṣṭiriti | tadavidyāpūrvakaṃ rāgapratighākārāvidyādṛṣṭi-vicikitsopakleśa-saṃprayukto dṛṣṭi-lakṣaṇa-dhātvākārabhedam anadhigamya saṃkliṣṭālaya-vijñāna-vāsanāvasthita-tadākāra-vijñānāvabhāsapoṣaṇāt prāgeva lokottara-mārgāśritacaturāryasatyabhāvanā-bhyāsakrameṇa duḥkha-samudaya-nirodha-mārga-darśana-bhāvanā-vimukti-viśeṣānantareṇa prahāṇa-sākṣātkāraḥ | yaścāpi saptatriṃśadbodhipakṣadharmasmṛtyupasthāna-samyakprahāṇa-ṛddhipāda-indriya-bala-bodhyaṅga-mārga-pratītyasamutpāda-dhyāna-arūpi-apramāṇa-ṣaḍanusmṛtyādiyadharmapudgalanairātmya-bodhicittabhāvanā-samādhi-dhāraṇā-śraddhā-vīrya-samādhi-prajñā-bhūmi-vaśīkārā-bhijñāna-jñāna-pāramitā-vimuktidvāra-kṣānti-bhāvanādi-krameṇa lokottaramārgānugata-tvād adhimukticaryāyāṃ pratisthāpya niryāṇa-prayoga-sākṣātkārād indriya-bala-abhayao-asaṃsṛṣṭa-pratisaṃvid-vyañjana-mahāpuruṣa-lakṣaṇa-ṛddhipādādi bhāvanāṃ paripūrya anuttarasamyak-samavabodhāvabodhāt śamatha-vipaśyanānukūla-samabhāvo bhāvane 'nantā-cintyaguṇyaṃ śāntasvabhāvakāyaṃ, ādimadhyāntavarjitaṃ, jñātvā prāpnoti buddhatvam ityuktam | tatra rūpaskandhastu rūpāvabhāsākāra-vijñaptyavabhāsa-vikalpodbhūto 'neka-dravyātmako bhūtabhautika-rūpa-lakṣaṇa ekādaśao-sāmānyātmaka-pañcadravyākārāropa-saṃghaṭṭitaḥ cakṣuḥ-śrotrādirūpa-śabdādikāma-rūpa-arūpa-pratisaṃyuktābhūtaparikalpanā-lakṣaṇaḥ skandho dhātvāyatana-indriya-vijñāna-viṣayātmako 'tha ca tādṛganyatādṛgrūpa-lakṣaṇo dharmastu rūpaskandha iti | tatra vedanāskandha iti sukha-duḥkhobhayākāreṇa āsvādākāra-vijñaptyavabhāsaḥ | viṣayendriyavijñānabhedena vedanā ṣaṭkāyā | dhātvākāraviśeṣabhedena kleśopa-kleśasaṃprayuktatvād anantāḥ prabhedāḥ syuḥ | sukha-duḥkha-saumanasya-daurmanasyo-pekṣānvitatvāt ṣaḍākāramātmadravyameva abhūtasaṃkalpa-vikalpālaya-vijñānavāsanopa-nibaddhatvād rāga-dveṣa-mohāditridhātu-vikalpavaśodbhūta-dravya-saṃgṛhītatvād vedanā-skandha iti | saṃjñā sūkṣma-sthūla-mahāṅgatādi-citrīkārāva-bhāsākāra-vijñapti-rvikalpanāvaśodbhūta-pūrvahasana-nandana-krīḍanādi-kānanusmṛtya strī-puruṣādi-nimittaviśeṣagrahaṇātmikā viṣayendriya-vijñānabhedena ṣaṭkāyā saṃjñā | rāga-dveṣa-moha-nibandhanatvād dhātvākāra-viśeṣabhedena tu anantaprasarā | saṃkliṣṭasyālayavijñāna-vāsanā-sambandhatvād ātmamohādi-saṃyuktātmatā tu saṃjñeti | saṃskārastu saṃprayuktā-prayukta-prajñapti-saṃskṛtā-saṃskṛtāvabhāsāṃkāra-vijñaptiḥ-vikalpanāvaśenodbhūtaḥ | pūrvākṣiptālaya-vijñānād astitva-vāsanā-bhedena tu dhātoḥ ākāra-viśeṣānanta-prasarānvitasya saṃskāra-skandha-saṃgṛhītatvāt saṃskāraskandha iti | tatra vijñāna-skandhastvaṣṭavidhaḥ | viṣayendriya-vijñānānāṃ viśiṣṭāvabhāsākāra-vijñaptiḥ | vikalpanāvaśodbhūtālaya-vijñānasya vāsanopanibaddhatvād dhātorākāra-viśeṣa-bhedenānantaprasaro hi vijñānaskandha iti | teṣāmapyevaṃ dhātvāyatana-sāsrava-saṃskṛta-saṃkleśādi-paryāyabhedena sva-lakṣaṇasambandhena saṃkṣipya skandho dhāturāyatanamiti | evaṃ saṃkliṣṭālayavijñāna-bījānvitā abhūtasaṃkalpasamuttthatraidhātukodgatāste cittacaitasikādayastu saṃsāra iti | tathāpi tatra ādāveva kartrādirahito riktastuccho 'sāra iti viditvā caturāryasatya-bhāvanānulomapravṛttyā nirṇīto lokottara-jñānāgni-samudbhūto-'vidyāndhakārādi-rahito hetupratyayārthatathatāparijñānāt śānto dharmakāyo 'vagamyate | tasmād duḥkha-samudaya-nirodha-mārga-darśana-bhāvanāmārgakramaḥ| tatra duḥkha-satyam-anityatā-duḥkhatā-śūnyatā-nairātmya-samyaganudarśanajñānena kṣānti-mukti-prahāṇa-viśeṣānāntaryajñānena ca tad-duḥkhamavagamya kleśālayavijñānavāsanāṃ saṃnihatya pudgaladharmanairātmyam avabudhya, traidhātukāvabhāsitābhūtasaṃkalpodbhūtaṃ asmin cittamātre māyā-marīci-gandharvanagara-alātacakra-pratiśrutka-udakacandra-pratibimbavad vibhāvane, skandhādau dhātau āyatane ca grāhya-grāhakatāṃ vihāya dharmanairātmyasamatāyāṃ praviśe, svacittameva ādyamanutpannamiti śūnyajñānapraveśe, sarvadharmaniḥsvabhāvatājñānasya karuṇāmūlaka-bodhicittasya hetūbhūta-vividhopāya-puṇyajñānasambhārasaṃcaye daśapāramitāhetubhiḥ daśabhūmyādhāra daśajñānālambana-daśavaśitāphalānvite 'nantācintya-guṇākāraḥ śāntadharmakāyo 'vabudhyate | evaṃ samudaya-satya-samudaya-hetu-prabhava-pratyaya-ānantarya-vimukti-prahāṇa-viśeṣa-darśana-anuloma-pratiloma-bhāvanākāreṇa saṃkliṣṭa-ālayavijñāna-vāsanā-mala-rahitatve śāntadharmakāye praveśaḥ | nirodha-satye 'pi nirodha-śānta-praṇīta-niḥsaraṇatā-ānantarya-vimukti-prahāṇa-viśeṣa-darśana-bhāvanāmārgakrameṇa saṃkliṣṭā-layavijñānavāsanāsamudghātena ānantarya-prahāṇa-vimukti-viśeṣa-bhāvanayā pudgala-dharmanairātmyādhigame śāntadharmakāyaprāptiḥ | hetupratyayao-rahitatvāt mārgasatye 'pi mārga-nyāya-pratipatti-nairyāṇika-sandarśane evaṃ darśana-bhāvanā-ānantarya-prahāṇa-vimukti-viśeṣamārgānukūlatāyai ālayavijñāne vidyamānāṃ vāsanāṃ saṃnihatya pudgaladharma-nairātmya-samatāvabodhāt trikāyādhiṣṭhāna-śānta-dharmakāyasyācintyā-prameyaguṇa-gaṇasya ādimadhyāntarahitasya avicchinna-nābhogakaraṇātmaka-sarvārthānāṃ anuttaraṃ sarvajñatvaṃ prāpnoti | api coktam - ya evaṃ tathatākṣamaḥ | tasmai vyākriyate nūnaṃ ya evamanantarokta-pratītyasamutpāda-pudgaladharmanairātmya-tattva-kṣama icchati, sa eva pudgaladharmanairātmyakṣamatānvitatvād anuttarasamyaksambodhiṃ vyākṛtavat paśyet, jānīyāccetyarthaḥ | tasmāt sūtre- yo bhadanta śāriputra kulaputro kuladuhitā vā evaṃvidha-dharmakṣānti-samanvitaḥ, tasya tathāgato 'rhat samyaksambuddho 'nuttaraḥ samyaksambodhiṃ vyākaroti ityuktam | maitreyastu svayaṃ tathā | uvāca śāriputrāya evam śāriputro bodhisattvo maitreyamapṛcchat | bodhisattvo maitreyo 'pi śālistambopamā kṛtā idaṃ sūtram vistareṇa vibhajya bhāṣitavān | bodhisattvamaitreyeṇa bhāṣitāṃ śālistambopamāṃ kṛtvā śāriputrastu tacchrutvā iti śālistambopamā kṛtā | saṃstuto dhṛta sāraśca devasaṃghān iti | dhṛtasāra iti dharmārthatathatāvabodhatvāt sāragrahaṇam | devasaṃghāniti deva-nāga-yakṣa-gandharva-ādi-sahitān | anumoditeti anumodya | saḥstuta iti tvayā yathoktaḥ tathaiva asti nānyatheti, avadhārayan nirjātatvāt | gatvottthāya praharṣitaḥ | ākhyātavāṃśca bhikṣubhyaḥ tasmādeva sūtre- atha āyuṣmān śāriputro maitreyasya bodhisattvasya bhāṣitam abhinandya utthāyāsanāt prakrānta ityuktam | maitreyeṇa bodhisattvena mahāsattvena evamuktaṃ maitreyeṇa bodhisattvena, evamiti śāriputreṇa kathitam | anumoditam | śāriputraḥ tacchutvā praharṣitaḥ santuṣṭa ityarthaḥ | gatvā bhikṣubhyo gambhīrodārādbhutaṃ sūtraṃ yathāśrutavat sarvasattvahitāya bhāṣitam | śālistambasya sūtrasya vistarākhyā subhadrikā | hīnabuddhi prabodhārthaṃ śatairdvādaśabhiḥ kṛtā | ācāryanāgārjunena viracitā śālistambakavistarākhyāṭīkā samāptā | bhāratīyopādhyāyena dharmaśrībhadreṇa lokacakṣuṣā bhadantasādhumatinā jñāna kumāreṇa cānūditā | mahāsaṃśodhaka-lokacakṣuṣā bhadanta-śrīkuṭīreṇa saṃśodhya nirṇītā |
