yadyanubhūtimātraṃ pramāṇaṃ, tato rajatamidamiti yad bhrāntivijñānaṃ, tadapi pramāṇaṃ syāt /

rajatamidamiti nedamekaṃ vijñānam, kintu dve ete vijñāne grahaṇasmaraṇarūpe /

vijñānadvayantvetadekavijñānasādhāraṇarūpam, tatraikavijñānasādhāraṇarūpāvamarśādekavijñānasadṛśavyavahārapravartakatayā vyavahāradaśāyāṃ visamvādamāvahat pramāṇamapi sad bhrāntamityucyate /
yatra tu vyavahāravisamvādo nāsti, tatra bhrāntirapi na vyapadiśyate /
yathoṣṇajalajñāne /
tatrāpi na jalagatamauṣṇyamanubhūyate, kintu vanhnyavayavagatameva /
jalagatasyauṣṇyasya ca vanhayasaṃyogenotpādanānabhyupagamāt /
pākajo hi guṇaḥ pākāntareṇaiva nivartate /
jalagatasyauṣṇyasyānapekṣitapākasyaivāgnisaṃyogavicchedenaiva nivṛttiḥ /
gatvarā hi tatra tejo 'vayavāḥ sañcāritāsteṣvanyatra gateṣvaparatejo 'vayavasañcaraṇavicchede yuktaivāpākajatve pākāntarānapekṣā auṣṇyasya nivṛttiriti, na pītaśaṅkhādijñānatulyatvamuṣṇajalajñānasya /
tasmāt pītaśaṅkhādijñānaṃ pramāṇameva bhrāntañcetyanavadyam /
yastu viparītakhyātivādī uṣṇajalajñānamapramāṇaṃ bhrāntañcāha, tasya sarvalokavirodhaḥ /
pramāṇasaṃkhyānirūpaṇam /
katividhaṃ punaḥ pramāṇamityatrāha---"tatra pañcavidhaṃ mānam" /
anenaikādisaṃkhyā, ṣaḍādisaṃkhyā ca 119vyavacchinnā /
