śaṅkhaḥ pāṇḍura evetyādau pāṇḍuratvāderviśeṣyatāvacchedakāvacchedena svāyogavyāvṛttyā viśeṣaṇatvasya dṛṣṭatve 'pi prakṛte tadasaṃbhavaḥ; nahi gāyatryādisāmāntarakāryāvacchinne kratau śakyo rathantarāyogo vyāvartayitumityarthaḥ /
ato rathantaramevāsya sāmeti samāsārthāvagamāt tasyaca prakaraṇenāprāptatvena nimittatvānupapattervidheyatvāvagamāt prakṛte jyotiṣṭome kevalarathantarasāmatvasya vidhāne aindravāyavāgratāderapi vidhāne vākyabhedāpatteḥ tadaṅgīkāreṇāpi tadvidhāne kevalarathantarasāmakatvasya jyotiṣṭome sākṣādananvayitvena stotrasādhanamantradvārā niveśasya vācyatve teṣu sāmāntarasya viśiṣyāmnānasiddhatvena viṣamaśiṣṭavikalpāyogādaniviśamānarathantaramātrasāmatvaguṇasya bhedakatvādubhayaviśiṣṭakarmāntaravidhirevāyam /

karmāntaratvavādino 'pi rathantarasāmatvāyogasya prokṣaṇādau sarvathā vidyamānasya vyāvṛttyasiddherviśeṣaṇatvānupapattistulyetyarthaḥ /
yadyapyatideśaprāptasāmāntaravyāvṛttyā pūrvapakṣe tasya viśeṣaṇatvaṃ nāyogavyāvṛttyā; tathāpi sākṣāt kratau sāmāntarayogasyāsaṃbhavāt tadvyāvṛttyā rathantarasāmatvasya viśeṣaṇatvamanupapannameva /
ataḥ stotrarūpāvāntarakāryadvāraiva sāmāntaravattvasya kratau prāptyā taddvāraiva rathantarasāmatvaviśeṣaṇena vyāvṛttiḥ kartavyā /
sāca mamāpi tulyeti sākṣādyāga ityanena sūcitam //

(vikṛtau viśeṣyābhāvenaindravāyavāgratānāpattyā rathantarasāmamātranimittatvopapādanam) anyatheti //
jyotiṣṭome nimitte tadapūrvasādhanībhūtagrahaṇāṅgatvenāgratāvidhāne 'pi satyapi vikṛtāvaṅgitāvacchedakarūpākrāntatve codakarahitāyāṃ taddhomasyeva nimittarahitatvāt tadagratāprāptyanāpattirityarthaḥ //
(viśeṣaṇānvayasyaiva nyāyasiddhatvāllakṣaṇāpi na doṣāyetyādi nirūpaṇam) lakṣaṇayāpīti //
yadyapyanyapadārthopasarjane rathantare nimittatvānvayo 'vyutpannaḥ; tathāpi śābdabodhe viśiṣṭa evānvitasyāpi nimittatvasya viśeṣye viśiṣṭe vā kādācitkatvābhāvena bādhe sati vidhiniṣedhau viśeṣaṇe saṃkrāmato viśeṣye bādha iti nyāyena śikhī dhvasta ityādivat viśeṣaṇe saṃkrāntyupapattirūpaṃ yuktyantaraṃ yathānuktasamuccayārthakādinā sūcitam, tathā yadiśabdasyāvivakṣitārthatvākalpanāpekṣayā lakṣaṇayā aduṣṭatvamapi sūcitam /
naca prakaraṇalabhyānyapadārthānuvāde prayojanābhāvaḥ, vairūpasāmetyādau vairūpādīnāṃ bahuvrīhyantanirdeśasādṛśyena pṛṣṭhastotra eva niveśarūpaprayojanasya daśame vakṣyamāṇatvāt /
ato rathantarameva nimittam /
tasyaca prakṛtāveva niveśāttatraivāgratāviśeṣo naimittiko vidhīyata ityāha
------- naimittikantviti //
(bṛhadvirodhino rathantarasya rathantaravirodhino bṛhataśca nimittatvam) prakṛtau vikṛtau ceti //
rathantaramātrasya nimittatve 'pi apravṛttapravartakatvāt vidherasmin sati kuryāditi kādācitkyāḥ kartavyatāyā vidhyarthatvāt kādācitkenaiva nimittenānvayāt yadiśabdopāttasya nimittatvasya kādācitkatvavyāpyatvāt kādācitkatvasyaca bṛhadrathantarayoranyonyavirodhaprayuktatvāt bṛhadvirodhino rathantarasya rathantaravirodhino bṛhataśca nimittatvaṃ jñeyam /
virodhitāca kvacidvaikalpikatvāt kvacit bādhakasattvāt bhavati, yathā prakṛtau vaikalpikatvāt vikṛtāvapi yatra naikataraniyamastatrānyatarāgratāyā loponimittābhāvāt, yatratu tanniyamastatra virodhisāmāntarasattve bādhakasattvāt seti /
tatra rathantarādernimittasya sattvena tattadagratāprāptāvapi yatra satrādau dvayorapi samuccayādvirodhitābhāvastatra nimittatvābhāvāt tattadagratālopa evetyarthaḥ

tadavāntaraprakaraṇe "yadi brāhmaṇo yajeta bārhaspatyaṃ madhye nidhāyāhutimāhutiṃ hutvābhighārayet yadi rājanya aindraṃ yadi vaiśyo vaiśvadevami"ti śrutam /
tatrāpi pūrvavadbrahmaṇakartṛkatvādi nimittameva; yadi śabdaśruteḥ, rājasūyasya traivarṇikakartṛkatvena brāhmaṇādeḥ prāptatvācca, rājaśabdasya prajāpālanakartari sarvalokaprasiddheḥ kṣatriyamātre draviḍaprasiddhestu mlecchadeśaprasiddhitvenāsādhakatvāt, vyākaraṇaprasiddhestanmūlakatvenāniyāmakatvācca, sarvalokaprasiddheḥ śrautayadiśabdamūlakatvācca /
ato brāhmaṇādikartṛkatve nimitte madhyenidhānapūrvakapratyāhutyabhidhāraṇaviśiṣṭapañcahaviṣkaikeṣṭiprayogo rājasūyāntargato vidhīyate /
pratyekaprayogāśca pañcānulomaviṣayā iti bodhyam /
"etayānnādyakāmaṃ yājayedi" tyanena cobhayorapi nityanaimittikaprayogayoḥ phalārthaṃ bahiḥkratvanuṣṭhānamiti na brāhmaṇādiguṇasya bhedakatvamiti prāpte --------- "rājānamabhiṣiñcedi"ti śrutau rājoddeśenābhiṣekavidhānādabhiṣekādhikārikarājyayogātprāgeva rājaśabdasya kṣatriyavācitvapratītestasya karmaṇītyadhikṛtya "patyantapurohitādibhyo yak" iti smṛtyā purohitādigaṇapaṭhitādrājaśabdād yagādividhānenaca rājyaśabdasya rājaśabdaprasiddhipūrvakatvāvagateḥ draviḍaprayogānusāreṇa rājaśabdaḥ kṣatriyavacana eva /
ataścāveṣṭau brāhmaṇādīnāṃ prāptyabhāvādvidheyatvāvagateḥ kartṛrūpād guṇādaveṣṭiprayogāntarameva pañcahaviṣkaikeṣṭirūpaṃ samastaguṇaviśiṣṭaṃ bahiḥkratu vidhīyate /
tasyacoktavacanenānnādyaṃ phalam /
antaḥkratu pratyekaṃ pañca prayogā eva /
yadyapica pūrvapakṣasiddhāntayoḥ pañcahaviṣkaikeṣṭiprayogastulyaḥ; tathāpi brāhmaṇādiguṇasya pūrvapakṣe na bhedakatvaṃ siddhānte tu taditi viśeṣaḥ /
tatprayojanaṃ ca pakṣadvayopapādanenaivoktam /
nacaivaṃ rājanyavākye tasya prāptatvādvidheyatvābhāvena bhedakatvānāpattiḥ; rājanyapadasyābhiṣiktānabhiṣiktakṣatriyamātravācitvena rājasūye 'prāptasyaiva tasya vidheyatayā bhedakatvopapatteḥ /
rājasūye hi rājapadasya kṣatriyamātraśaktasyāpi
"rājetyetānabhiṣiktānācakṣata" iti nirūḍhalakṣaṇātātparyagrāhakālliṅgādabhiṣiktakṣatriyamātrasyaivādhikāraḥ /
ataḥ siddhaṃ triṣvapi vākyeṣu guṇasya prayogabhedakatvam /
yadiśabdaścābhighārayediti liṅaḥ prayojyatvāparaparyāyahetumadarthakatve ākhyātadvayaikavākyatve ca tātparyagrāhakaḥ /
tena madhye nidhānapūrvakapratyāhutyabhighāraṇaprayojakī bhūtairbrāhmaṇādikartṛkairyāgairiṣṭaṃ bhāvayediti vākyārtho bodhyaḥ // 2

atraikāveṣṭisaṃjñāyoge 'pi sākamedhavadutpattivākye pratyekaṃ dakṣiṇāmnānāt dakṣiṇāyāśca kartrānatyarthatvāt tadbhedena kartṛtvabhedapratītestadbhedena ca prayogabhedāvagateḥ ekaikaṃ karmāgnyanvādhānādi brāhmaṇatarpaṇāntāṅgaviśiṣṭaṃ bhedenānuṣṭheyamityekādaśe vakṣyamāṇamabhipretya vicārayiṣyamāṇavākyavidheyaprayogāntarapratiyogividheyāpekṣitāni pūrvakarmaprayogavidhāyakavākyānyādāvudāharati -------- rājasūya iti //

(yadi brāhmaṇo yajeteti viṣayavākyanirdeśastadarthaśca vaiśyavākye madhye nidhanasyānuvādaśca) yadi brāhmaṇo yajeta tadā pañcānāmapyeteṣāṃ haviṣāṃ vedyāmāsādane pañcamasthāne paṭhitasya bārhaspatyasya tṛtīyasthāne madhyame āsādanaṃ kṛtvā avaśiṣṭahaviṣāṃ pratyekaṃ krameṇāhavanīye prakṣepānantaraṃ taddhaviḥsaṃskārārthopastaraṇābhighāraṇājyaśeṣeṇa juhūsthena bārhaspatyasya madhye āsāditasyābhidhāraṇaṃ kṛtvānte tasya homaḥ kartavyaḥ /
evamitarayorapi jñeyamityudāharaṇavākyatrayasyārthaḥ /
vaiśyavākye svata eva vaiśvadevasya tṛtīyasthāne paṭhitatvāt tenaiva madhye nidhānaprāptermadhye nidhānavidhirnityānuvāda iti viśeṣa ityuktamadhikaraṇamālāyām //
(kartrādīnāṃ bhāvanāprayogabhedakatvena prākaraṇikasaṅgatiḥ) tatra guṇādīnāṃ vidhyāpādanadvārā bhedakatvāt kartrādīnāṃ ca guṇānāṃ bhāvanotpattāvananvayitvena tadvidhyāpādānadvārā tadbhedakatvāyoge 'pi prayogānvayitvāt tadvidhyāpādanadvārā bhāvanāprayogabhedakatvanirūpaṇāt prākaraṇikīṃ saṅgatiṃ ca spaṣṭatvādapradarśya pūrvapakṣamevāha -------- tatrāpīti //

draviḍānāṃ pratyantadeśavāsitvena ('pratyanto mlecchadeśaḥ syād' iti kośāt) tatprasiddhermlecchadeśaprasiddhitvena na pīluśabda iva rājaśabde 'pi śaktigrahasādhakatvam /
nahi śaktigrāhakapramāṇagata eva prābalye nirṇāyake sati sandehābhāve svato 'pramāṇabhūtasya lāghavasya nirṇāyakatvaṃ yujyate /
ataeva jātiṃ vihāyāpi sarveṣāṃ prayogasya nirṇāyakatvānna barhirājyādiśabdānāmiveha jātivācitvaṃ yuktamityarthaḥ

vyākaraṇasmṛtessādhutvānvākhyānamātratvena śaktigrahe pramāṇābhāvāt, tattvepivā prajāpālanakartuḥ rājño yat prajāpālanarūpaṃ karma tat rājyamityarthe rājyaśabdavyutpattāvapi rājaśabdasya prajāpālanakartṛvācitvānivāraṇāt tasyā api draviḍaprasiddhimūlakatayā niyāmakatvānupapattiḥ /
nacaitāvatā rājyaśabdaśaktigrahaṇasya rājaśabdavyutpattigrahasāpekṣatvam; rājakarmatvenābodhe 'pi prajāpālanatvena buddhasyaiva tasya śakyatāvacchedakatvopapatteḥ /

sārvalaukikaprasiddherapi " na rājñaḥ pratigṛhṇīyādarājanyaprasūtinaḥ /
na śūdrarājye vasedi" tyādismṛtyupaṣṭabdhatvānna kevalaṃ prasiddhereva kṣatriyasya tadbodhyatvam /

prajāpālanakartṛtvāviśeṣepi upanayādhānavidhisiddhāgnividyayorabhāvena śūdrasya vyāvṛttāvapi traivarṇikānāṃ rājasūye 'dhikārasyāvyāhatatvāt tadantargatāveṣṭāvapi teṣāmadhikārāt brāhmaṇādīnāṃ kartṛtvena prāpteḥ rājanyavākye 'niyamenaiva rājñaḥ kartṛtayā prāpternimittatvasyaivāśrayaṇāt tatsāhacaryādihāpi brāhmaṇādivākyayorapi nimittatvameva yuktamityabhipretya pūrvapakṣopasaṃhāravyājena pūrvapakṣe naimittikaṃ vidheyavivekaṃ darśayati ------- ata iti //

vidhāyakatvapakṣetu rājasūyādbahireva tādṛśaṃ prayogāntaramiti prayojanabhedo 'nusandheyaḥ --------- iti /
kva tarhi nimittārthatvapakṣe rājasūyāntargatānāṃ pratyekaprayogāṇāṃ niveśa ityapekṣāyāmāha --------- pratyeketi //
anulomānāṃ tattatpitṛgatajātimattvābhāve 'pi tattanmātṛgatajātisadbhāvasya tattatsmṛtiṣūkterbrāhmaṇāt kṣatriyāyāmutpannasya rājatvajātimattvena rājasūye 'dhikārāt tadviṣayāḥ pratyekaprayogā ityarthaḥ /
yadātu tasyāpi "yadi rājanyami"ti vākyena pañcahaviṣṭvaikeṣṭiprayogasyaiva prāpterna pratyekaprayogāṇāṃ niveśa ityālocyate, tadā pratyekaprayogāṇāmapyanavakāśatayā bādhāsaṃbhavāt tattatkartṛbhisteṣāmapi samuccayenānuṣṭhānamiti draṣṭavyamiti bodhyamitipadena sūcitam //
(etayānnādyakāmaṃ yājayedityanena prayogadvayasyāpi bahiḥ phalārthaṃ vidhānam) nanu ------- evametayā annādyakāmaṃ yājayediti vidherannādyārthatvenāpi prayogāntarāpattirityata āha --------etayeti //
asmiṃśca vākye prayogānvayiguṇāntarābhāvena tadbhedāprasakteḥ kartrapekṣāyāṃ rājasūyavākyagatāveṣṭikartṛkṣatriyeṇaiva nairākāṅkṣyāttasyaivopasthitatvāt kartṛtvenānvayopapatterviniyogānvayiguṇa- sattvenāveṣṭimātrasyaiva viniyogāntaramātraṃ kriyate /
evañca yugapatprayoge ca yogasidhyadhikaraṇanyāyenānekaphalajananāyogāt bahirapi tattatprayogāṇāmannādyārthamanuṣṭhānamityarthaḥ

(rājyāyaivetiśrutau pratyayasthākārasyodāttatvaśravaṇopapattyarthaṃ yagantasyaiva yuktatvanirūpaṇam) yadyapyatra ṣyañyaganyatarapratyayenāpi rājyaśabdavyutpattiḥ samānā; tathāpi loke viśeṣābhāve 'pi "rājyāyaivetyabhiṣicyante rājetyetānabhiṣiktānācakṣate" ityādiśrutau rājyaśabdagatapratyayasthākārasyodātta- svaratvopalaṃbhāt yakpratyayāntataiva yuktā /
tadāhi"karṣātvato ghaño 'nta udātta" iti sūtrādanta ityanuvartamāne taddhitasyeticānuvartamāne kita ityanena yakārākārasyādyantavadekasminnityekavadbhāvenodāttatvavidhānāt yakārāntatvena pratyayodāttatvaṃ labhyate /
ṣyañantatvetu ñnityādirnityamityanenādyudāttavidhānāt prakṛtistharephākārodāttatvaṃ syāditi nyāyasudhopapāditaṃ yagantatvaniścayamabhipretya patyantapurohitādibhya ityevopanyastam //
(brāhmaṇādikartṛkaprayogāntaravidhānamiti tasya bahiḥkratvanuṣṭhānādinirūpaṇam) vacana eveti //
tathācāryāvartaprayogastu rājakāryakāritvaguṇayogena gauṇa ityevakāreṇa sūcitam /
ato brāhmaṇādīnāṃ kartṛtvenāprāpternimittatvāyogena vidheyatvāvaśyakatvāt prāptayāgānuvādena brāhmaṇādikartṛtvādirūpānekaguṇavidhau vākyabhedāpatterbrāhmaṇādikartṛtvarūpāt pūrvatrāniviśamānāt guṇāt prayogabheda ityabhipretya siddhānte vidheyaṃ darśayati

atra vidheyāntarābhāvādādhānasyaiva vidhiḥ, brāhmaṇādivākyeṣu tu vasantādiguṇavidhau saṃbhavati na viśiṣṭavidhirāśrayituṃ yukta ityarthaḥ /
evañca ya evaṃ vidvāniti vidvattānuvādasyāpi kratuvidhyākṣiptavidvattayaivopapattervidvadvākyenopāyatayā'dhānasyāvagatasya kratuvidhibhirevākṣepāt tasyaca caturvarṇasādhāraṇyena prāpternimittārthaṃ brāhmaṇādiśravaṇam //
(brāhmaṇakartṛkatve nimitte kevalādhānoddeśena nimittānvayavyatirekānuvidhāyyadhikaraṇatākatvena kālavidhiḥ) naca yadiśabdābhāve nimittatvabodhāsaṃbhavaḥ; svarūpeṇa prāptasya nimittatvenaivānvetuṃ yogyatayā tena rūpeṇa yadiśabdābhāve 'pyanvayopapatterityabhipretyāha --------- nimittārthaṃ śravaṇamiti //
vidheyaṃ darśayati --------- brāhmaṇakartṛkatva iti //

ataścāgnihotrādipūrvabhāvitayāniyatakāle prasaktayorādhānopanayanayorvasantādikālakatve nimitte brāhmaṇādikartṛtāniyamo 'pi vidhātuṃ śakyate /
asmiṃśca pakṣe vasantātiriktahemantādikālakasyāpyādhānasya brāhmaṇādyaniyatakartṛtvasiddhiḥ /
sarvathā brāhmaṇādivākyeṣu nobhayaviśiṣṭādhānavidhiḥ; gauravādanyataḥ prāptisaṃbhavācceti dhyeyam

leṭtvakalpanayā vidhitvāśaṅkāṃ nirasituṃ vidhyantaraśeṣatvopanyāsaḥ /
idaṃhi vacanaṃ sapatnaṃ bhrātṛvyamavartti sahata ityarthavādasahitaṃ "apa upasṛjatī" tyādiviśeṣavidhivihitānāmudakādisaṃbhārāṇāmatha saṃbhārān saṃbharatīti yaḥ sāmānyataḥ sthāpanavidhistasya śeṣaḥ /
yo vidvānevamudakādisthāpanapūrvamagnimādhatte sa sthāpanarūpāṅgasāmarthyātsahāyasaṃpannamapi vairiṇaṃ vartanarahitaṃ kurvīta ityarthavādena sthāpanapraśaṃsākaraṇāt vidhiśeṣabhūtatvena leṭtvakalpanayā vidhāyakamityarthaḥ /
pramāṇāntareti //
vārkṣapārthivasaṃbhārāṇāṃ vākyāntarapramitatvādityarthaḥ /
ādhānamātravidhiriticātra nyāyasudhākṛdupapāditasaṃbhārādhikaraṇatvaviśiṣṭā'dhāna- vidhinirāsaḥ sūcitaḥ /
tathātve nakrādivākyeṣvapi viśiṣṭādhānavidhyāpattestulyatvena vinigamanāvirahāpatteḥ /
ato vidheyāntarābhāvādevātraivādhānavidheraṅgīkāryatvāt śuddhādhānavidhirevāyam /
tatraca prayogānvayino guṇāderaśravaṇāt pradhānavidhibhirevaca prayājādiṣviva prayogasya prāpteśca naiva vidhānam, apitu guṇavākyānusārādāhitāgniparyāyāgnimātroddeśena viniyogasyotpatteśca karaṇamātramiti kratuvidhiprayuktā'dhānāṅgatvameveha vasantādividherityarthaḥ //
(ādhānakarturapi prāpakavacanāntareṇādhānavidhānamiti pakṣāntarānusaraṇam) kālavidhiriti //
vasantādivākyeṣviti śeṣaḥ /
saṃbhāravākye ātmanepadānirdeśāt anādhātāraṃ pratyāhavanīyatvābhāvānavagateranyenāhitānāmapi krameṇānyasyāhavanīyatvasaṃbhavena tadvyāvṛttiphalakasyādhātṛmātra- saṃbandhyāhavanīyatvasyāprāptervasantavākyeṣu tasya vidhānāvaśyakatvena vākyabhedāpattirityarthaḥ /
jātaputravākyetu ātmanepadaśravaṇena tadarthaviśiṣṭādhānavidhāvukte kiṃ tarhi saṃbhāravākye vidhīyate? ityapekṣāyāṃ tasminnādhīyatāmiti
mantravarṇakalpyasaṃbhārādhikaraṇatvavidheḥ pūrvapravṛttyaṅgīkāreṇa saṃbhārādhikaraṇataiva vidhīyate 'bhyudayaśira- skatvārthamityuttaramāha ----------- uktavākye tviti //
vasantādivākyānāṃ ādhānavidhāyakatve tatprāptādhāne jātaputrakṛṣṇakeśatvādiguṇadvayavidhāne vākyabhedāpatteḥ siddhānte ardhamantarvedītivat jātaputrakṛṣṇakeśapadayorvayosthālakṣaṇā'padyate, mamatvatraiva viśiṣṭādhānavidhānāt sā nāpadyata ityapi lāghavaṃ darśayati ----------- evañceti //

"anadhīyānā vrātyā bhavanti" "sthāṇurayaṃ bhārahāraḥ kilāyamadhītya vedaṃ na vijānāti yor'tham" "brahmakṣatraviśāṃ kāla aupanāyanakaḥ paraḥ /
ata ūrddhvaṃ patantyete" -------- ityādinā adhyayanajñānopanayanānāmakaraṇe pratyavāyaśravaṇāt, "nānāhitāgnirmriyeteti" śrutyā anāhitāgnitvasyopapātakeṣu pāṭhācca ādhānākaraṇe pratyavāyapratīteśca nityatvametayorityarthaḥ //

yattu bahutvaṃ dvitvalakṣaṇārthaṃ sadanuvāda iti kaustubhe uktam, tat sāyaṃ sāyaṃ dohapracāraḥ prātaḥ prātardehapracāra iti pakṣāntarasyāpi vidhānāt /
tathāca kumbhīdvayasyaivābhikramaṇe sāhityāttadabhiprāyeṇeti na virodhaḥ /

yadātu paśuparatvaṃ, tadobhayasādṛśyena pūrvayāgaprakṛtikatve nissandigdhe 'pi agnīṣomīyaprakṛtitvaṃ yatpakṣāntareṇa vārtike uktaṃ, tatpūrvapakṣatvādanāsthayāgnīṣomīyaprakṛtitve 'pyavirodha iti nyāyasudhāyāṃ spaṣṭamevānāsthayetyāveditam //
(viśeṣaṇaviśeṣyabhāvasthale vyāsajyavṛttidevatātvamiti nyāyasudhāmatarītyobhayadevatve 'pi pratyabhijñānopapādanam) agniśucyostu devatātvenānvayāt tasyāścoddeśyatvamātreṇa kriyāsādhanatvāt amūrtasya nirguṇasyāpi coddeśyatvopapatteḥ kriyāsādhanatvānyathānupapattyā viśeṣaṇaviśeṣyabhāvānavagame 'pi tadanabhyupagame pratyekamanvayāyākhyātasyāvṛttyāpatteḥ pradhānabhūtākhyātāvṛtteścātyantānyāyyatvāt pratyekañca devatāpatterguṇabhedenādṛṣṭakalpanāpādakakarmabhedaprasaṅgādekakriyāvaśīkārāvasāyāt tadanyathānupapattyā viśeṣaṇaviśeṣyabhāvāvagatiriti citrādhikaraṇe nyāyasudhālekhanāt samānādhikaraṇapadadvaye viśeṣaṇaviśeṣyabhāvāṅgīkāreṇa taduttarapratyayenaikameva vyāsajyavṛtti devatātvamucyata iti tanmatamanusandhāyāha ------------ sasyapīti /

paśoragnīṣomadevatākatvena "tvaṃ hyagne prathamo manote" ti mantragatāgnipadena lakṣaṇayāgnīṣomayorabhidhānaṃ, tadvadihāpi pātnīvataśabdaprakṛtibhūtapatnīvacchabdena tvaṣṭṛpatnīvallakṣaṇayābhidhānopapattirityarthaḥ //

nanu atideśalope sati paryagnikaraṇapūrvabhāvyaṅgānāmapi parisaṅkhyāpattirityata āha -------- vṛtteti //

tadagnipadasya rūḍhasya; sāmānādhikaraṇyamātreṇa nāmatvāyogāt sāmānādhikaraṇyasyacāgniśabde 'nuśabdayoganimittadvitīyāntatvena durupapādatvāt anyathānuśabdayoganimitta- dvitīyāntatvena durupapādatvāt anyathānuśabdasāpekṣatvāpatteriti kaustubhe darśitarītyāyuktamabhipretya vārtikoktapakṣāntaramavalambya yāgarūpatvaṃ sādhayitumupayuktāni vākyānyudāharati

yadyapi pūrvapakṣyupapāditarītyāgnipadavācyajvalanādyuddeśena na cayanavidhiḥ saṃbhavati; tathāpyagnipadavācyayāgoddeśena tadvidhyupapattestasyaca sākṣādyāge 'saṃbhave ānarthakyatadaṅganyāyena tadantaraṅgaprakṣeparūpāṅge 'vatāre āhavanīyābādhenāpi cayananiveśasaṃbhavāt prakṣepādhārāhavanīyādhāratayā cayanavidhānāccayanaprāptirityarthaḥ //

naca prākaraṇikasāyamādikālāvarodharūpabādhakasya sattvānmāsādirūpaguṇaniveśānupapatterguṇāt bhedaḥ sāyaṃprātaḥkālayoramāvāsyāparāhṇādikālavat vyāpyavyāpakabhāvenopapattau virodhābhāvāt /
nacātyantasaṃyogavācidvitīyāntamāsapadopadiṣṭasātatyavirodho bādhakaḥ, tasyāhāravihārādyanurodhena bādhāvaśyaṃbhāve jāteṣṭinyāyena prākaraṇikakālopasaṃgrahasya siddhānta ivopapatteḥ /
naca jīvanākhyanimittena virodhaḥ; siddhānte sāyaṃprātaḥkālābhyāmiva māsenāpyavacchedasaṃbhavena tadavirodhāt, kāmyaprayoga eva māsaniveśopapatteśca /
naca kauṇḍapāyinasatraprakaraṇenānanugraho bādhakaḥ, kauṇḍapāyina eva dīkṣitatvena paryudastānāmagnihotrādīnāṃ māsaṃ pratiprasavavidhānena athavā ---------- agnihotrādyuddeśena māsakāle vihite 'pi uddeśyatvenopasthitānāṃ nirākāṅkṣaṇāmagnihotrādīnāṃ saṃvatsaraparimitasatraprayogasya ṣaṇmāsaparimitasomayāgairaparipūraṇādākāṅkṣāvaśena satraprayogavacanena phale vidhānena vā tadanugrahopapatteriti bhāvaḥ //
evamitarabādhakanirāse bādhakābhāvādityanena sūcite prāptakarmānuvādenopasadāṃ taduttarakālatvasya māsasya kartṛbahutvasya ca vidhāne yadanekārthavidhānena vākyābhedāpattirūpaṃ bādhakaṃ guṇakṛtabhedāpādakaṃ bhāṣyakāreṇa siddhānte upanyastam, tatsiddhāntasādhakatvenādaraṇīyatvabuddhyā pṛthakpariharati ---------- kartṛbahutveti //
māsaṃ darśapūrṇamāsābhyāmityādau anekaguṇābhāvenāvyāpakatvācca tasyakarmāntarāsādhakatvamabhipretya pūrvapakṣamupasaṃharati ---------- ata iti //
(prakaraṇāntarātkarmabhedapratijñā) pramāṇāntareṇa bhedāsaṃbhave 'pi prakaraṇāntarāt bhedaṃ sādhayituṃ prakaraṇāntarasvarūpopapādanasyāpekṣitatvenāvaśyakaṃ tat pradarśayan siddhāntamāha --------- sarvatreti //

kālādau kṛtivyāpyatvarūpopādeyatvāsaṃbhave 'pi kṛtyadhikaraṇatvādinā vidheyatvaṃ karmaṇi puruṣakṛtivyāpyatvarūpamupādeyatvaṃ ca /
ataeva kālādervidhisaṃsparśādvivakṣāṅgatvaṃ copapadyata ityarthaḥ //

(prakṛte 'pi nāmno homopasthāpakatvaśaṅkā) nanu prakaraṇāpekṣayāpi prabalasya nāmnaḥ sannidhāyakapramāṇasya sattvādupādeyatvavidheyatvayoḥ sāmānādhikaraṇyapratibandhakatvopapatterna bhedasiddhirityāśaṅkāmanūdya pariharati ---------- naceti //

ato nyāyaśarīrasyāsaṃkīrṇatvādyuktaḥ prakaraṇāntarādbheda ityādivistaraḥ kaustubhe draṣṭavyaḥ //
(prakaraṇāntaranyāyaviṣayepi māsaṃ darśapūrṇamāsābhyāmityatra yāgaṣaṭkavidhānam) evaṃ yatrāpi prakaraṇāntare ākhyātasāmānādhikaraṇyamapi nāsti, yathā śatapathabrāhmaṇe darśapūrṇamāsaprakaraṇe cāturmāsyeṣu ca "yavāgvaināṃ rātrimagnihotraṃ juhotī" tyatra,tatropādeyaguṇasāmānyābhāvarūpaprakaraṇāntaranyāyāsaṃbhavena bhedāprasakteragatyā nāmna eva viprakṛṣṭopasthāpakatvaṃ draṣṭavyam /

naca -------- ekasyaiva karmaṇo 'bhyudayaśiraskatayā vidhidvayena vidhānaṃ piṅgākṣyaikahāyanīśabdābhyāmiva dravyaviśeṣasyeti ----------- vācyam; piṅgākṣyaikahāyanīśabdābhyāmupasthitasyāpyekasyaikena vidhinā vidhāne bādhakābhāvāt, prakṛte tu ekena vihitasya netareṇa vidhisaṃbhava iti karmāntarameva /
ata evāmāvāsyāyāmāgneyadvayakaraṇaṃ pūrvapakṣaprayojanamiti prāpte --------
ekasyaindrāgnavidhiśeṣatvānna svātantrayeṇa vidhāyakatvam /
praśastāgneyasāhityena caindrāgnapraśaṃsā, ato na karmāntaram // 14 // 47 //

iti caturdaśamāgneyastutyarthatādhikaraṇam //

iti śrīkhaṇḍadevaviracitāyāṃ bhāṭṭadīpikāyāṃ dvitīyādhyāyasya tṛtīya pādaḥ //

"yadāgneyo 'ṣṭākapālo 'māvāsyāyāṃ paurṇamāsyāṃ cācyuta" iti vākyenetyarthaḥ /
paurṇamāsyadhikaraṇe prakaraṇāntarādhikaraṇagataprakāśakāroktarītyā prakaraṇāntarādāgneyabhedaṃ nirasyaikakarmāsaṃbhavipaurṇamāsyamāvāsyālakṣaṇaguṇadvayayogānnyāyasudhākṛdupapāditādāgneyabhedasya svayaṃ prasādhitatvādāgneyaṃ ityekavacanamayuktamapi jātyabhiprāyeṇaikavacanavivakṣayā prayuktam /
śrutamiti //
pradeśāntara ityarthaḥ /
prakaraṇāntarāditi //
anena ātideśikyanantarasaṅgatiḥ sūcitā /
kathañcit sannidheḥ pratibandhakatvena prakaraṇāntarāt bhedāsiddhirityabhipretya tatsatve 'pi bhedakamupanyasyati ---------- abhyāsādveti //
yadyapi saṃpratipannadevatākatvena dvayorāgneyayoḥ sahānuṣṭhānānnāgneyadvayakaraṇaprasaktiḥ pūravapakṣe; tathāpi punarvidhivaiyarthyāpattyaiva sahānuṣṭhānabādhāt, athavā ------------ puroḍāśadvayakaraṇādvā'gneyadvayakaraṇamabhipretyāha -------- ata eveti /
yadāgneya iti vākyāntareṇā'gneyasya kevalāgnidevatātvāvadhāraṇāt kathaṃ tenaindrāgnapraśaṃsetyapekṣāyāmāha ---------- praśasteti //
"aṅgiraso vā ita uttamāḥ svargaṃlokamāyanni" tyādyarthavādasahitatadvidhinā āgneyaprāśastyāvagamāt praśastāgneyasāhityenaindrāgnapraśaṃsetyarthaḥ //
pūrvapakṣe prayojanamamāvāsyāyāmāgneyadvayasya tatsaṃbandhitvenāṣṭākapāladvayasya karaṇaṃ, siddhānte neti spaṣṭatvānnoktam //
