(vrīhīn prokṣatītyādīnāmuktādhikaraṇaviṣayatvena sāmādivākyaviṣayatvopapādanam) "vrīhīnavahanti" "vrīhīn prokṣatī" tyādau dvitīyayaiva vrīhyādeḥ karmatvasiddhyā pariśeṣeṇa dhātvarthasyaiva karaṇatvam /
tathā "dadhnā juhotī"tyādau homasya prāptatvenāvidheyatayā karaṇatvābhāve karmatvenaivānvayāt upapadārthasyaiva karaṇatvamiti sandehābhāvāt nātrodāharaṇatvamityabhipretya somādivākyānāmevodāharaṇatvaṃ sūcayituṃ somāderapītyuktam /
ādipadena sauryādivākyagatacarupadopāttasaṃgrahaḥ /
ataevaitadapavādabhūte tāni dvaidhamityadhikaraṇe dhātvarthasyaiva karaṇatvamiti teṣāmudāharaṇatvamityarthaḥ //

prāthamikabhāvanāsaṃbandhastāvat balīyasyā kārakaśrutyā somāderevāpadyata iti durbalapadaśrutyavagatatvena yāgasya naiva karaṇatvenānvayaḥ, pārṣṭikānvayavelāyāntu phalapadāpekṣayā ubhayorapi padāntaropāttatvāviśeṣe 'pi liṅgabādhe pramāṇābhāva ityarthaḥ /
ataśca yathaiva yāgaḥ svargakāmādhikaraṇanyāyena bhāvyatvāt pracyāvitastathaiva karaṇatvādapīti padaśrutyetikartavyatāṃśe nipatan bhāvanayā saṃbadhyate /
pārṣṭhikabodhe ca somārthatvaṃ yāgasyetyāha ------- ataeveti //
(yāgasya somārthatve 'dṛṣṭakalpanānirāsena pūrvapakṣopasaṃhāraḥ) nanu ----------- yāgena some dṛṣṭopakārāsaṃbhavādadṛṣṭakalpanāpattirityāśaṅkya pariharati ---------naceti //
nahi yāgasya somasaṃskārakatvena somārthatvam, kintu somādessarvadā sattvena phalotpattyāpattervidhivaiyarthyaparihārāyā'śrayavidhayā tadarthatvakalpanāt guṇaniṣṭhakaraṇatānirvāhakatvena dṛṣṭārthatvopapattirityarthaḥ //
(padaśrutyā kalpyasyāpyupajīvyatvenābādhena ca bhayamato dhātvarthasyaiva karaṇatvamiti somādīnāṃ tadaṅgatayaivopayogena sākṣādbhāvanāyāmanvaya iti somāpacāre pratinidhisaṃpādanarūpaprayojanasiddhirityādinirūpaṇam) natāvadbhāvanānvayanairapekṣyeṇa somādīnāṃ sākṣāt phalānvayaḥ; kārakāṇāṃ parasparamanvayāsaṃbhavāt, phalasyevetarakārakāṇāmapi lāghavena bhāvanānvayasyocitatvācca /
ato bhāvanādvāraivānvaye vācye jhaṭityupasthitāvacchedakībhūtadhātvarthasyaivānvayena karaṇākāṅkṣeparamānna padāntaropāttasomādeḥ karaṇatvenānvayo yukta ityabhipretya siddhāntamāha

ataśca yathaivāgneyā divākye 'ṣṭākapālādīnāṃ karaṇatvasya lākṣaṇikatve 'pi yāgakalpanadvāropajīvyatvena pūrvabhāvitvāt taduttarabhāviśrautamapi karaṇatvaṃ paramparayā svīkriyate, evamihāpi somādikaraṇatvamapi yāgadvārā bhāvanāyāmaṅgīkartuṃ yuktamiti dhātvarthasyaiva karaṇatvena phaladvārā bhāvanāyāmanvayādasiddhasyāpi somādinā siddhatāmāpāditasya phalapūrvakāle yogyatāyā api saṃbhavāt tasyaiva phalakaraṇatvāt apūrvaṃ prati karaṇatvena phalasādhanasyaikatvādbhāvanāpūrvayorekatvamityarthaḥ /
evañceha dhātvarthasya phalakaraṇatvena śreyassādhanatvarūpadharmatvasya pratipādanādagre tadgataikatvānekatvavicārasya sarvādhyāye kariṣyamāṇasyedamupodghātādhikaraṇamiti siddham /
pūrvapakṣe somādeḥ phalārthatve 'pi somenaiva yāganiṣpatteḥ siddhānte 'pi samatayā niṣprayojanatāmadhikaraṇavicārasya nirasitumāha
------------ prayojanamiti //
sarveṣāṃ phalasaṃbandhe kāmye saṃkalpottaraṃ nitye tataḥ pūrvamapi vihitadravyakriyayorasaṃbhave 'dṛṣṭārthatvānna pratinidhyupādānam /
prayājādikriyāvat pratinidhitvābhāvāt, prārabdhaprayogāparisamāpananimittadoṣaparihārārthantu yatkiñcidaniyatadravyakriyopādānena samāpanam /
nacaitāvatā tasya pratinidhitvam; sadṛśasyaiva pratinidhitvenāsadṛśagrahaṇe pramāṇābhāvāt /
evaṃ bhāvārthādhikaraṇapūrvapakṣe somāderna pratinidhiḥ /
prakrāntasamāpanantu yenakenaciddravyeṇa kartavyam /
siddhānte tu pratinidhinā tatsamāpanamiti prayojanamityarthaḥ

athavā -----------tiptvādikameva tat, janātītyādau tadbādhe lakṣaṇāśrayaṇamityarthaḥ /
yattu latvarūpamevākhyātatvaṃ svīkṛtya latvameva śaktatāvacchedakamiti bhāṭṭālaṅkārakārādibhiruktam, taddūṣayati ----------- natviti, vistareṇa caitadarthavādādhikaraṇe mayopapāditam tatraiva draṣṭavyam //
(anukūlavyāpāratvaṃ śakyatāvacchedakaṃ na tu yatnatvamiti pārthasārathimatanirūpaṇam) tatraca pacati pākaṃ bhāvayatītyanukūlavyāpāravāciṇijantabhūdhātunā vivaraṇāt saṃgrāhakalāghavāccānukūlavyāpāra eva tiṅarthaḥ, natu phalamātram /
naca karoterapi yatnārthakatvam, yena tadvivriyamāṇatvena tiṅo 'pi tadvācyatvamucyeta; tasyāpi bhāvayatiparyāyatvena yatnārthakatvāsiddheḥ /
ghaṭo bhavatītyādau yathā kartṛtvamāpannasya ghaṭasya tamaparo bhāvayatītyādau bhāvayatikarmatvaṃ tathaivamaparaḥ karotītyādāvapi tasya karmatvamapīti bhavatyarthakartṛkarmatvāviśeṣādbhāvayatiparyāyatvopapatteḥ /
yattu pacatītyasya pāke yatate iti yatnārthakapadena vivaraṇaṃ, tadapi vyāpārasāmānyarthakasya viśeṣe lakṣaṇaucityāt lākṣaṇikatayā neyam /
natu yatnādiviśeṣārthakasya ratho gacchatītyādau rathādiniṣṭhaviśeṣalakṣakatvāśrayaṇaṃ yuktam /
ataḥ phaloddeśyako dhātvarthoddeśyako vā vyāpārasamūha eva tiṅarthaḥ, tasya tattvena rūpeṇākhyātādbodhe 'pi viśeṣarūpeṇa agnyanvādhānādibrāhmaṇatarpaṇāntavākyaiḥ samarpaṇamityabhipretya pārthasārathimatamupapādayati

nahi karotirvyāpārasāmānyārthakaḥ; prayatnābhāve vātarogādinā spandamāne caitre spandānukūlavijātīyasaṃyogarūpavyāpāravatyapi nāhaṃ spandaṃ karomītyapi prayogadarśanādanukūlavyāpārārthakatvāvagateḥ, vyāpārajanyatvāviśeṣe 'pi yatnajanyatvājanyatvābhyāmeva paṭāṅkurayoḥ kṛtākṛtavyavahāradarśanācca /
yadyapi ratho gamanaṃ karoti sthālī pākaṃ karotyādāvacetanavyāpāre 'pi prayogo dṛśyate; tathāpi voḍhraśvādigatayatnasya rathādāvāropaṇāt
athavā ------------ lāghavena yatne śaktau gṛhītāyāmanukūlavyāpāre lakṣaṇayā tadupapattirnāyuktā /
ata eva atra bhāṣyakṛtā tathā yateta, yathākathañcit bhavatīti tenaite bhāvaśabdā iti yatnena vivaraṇaṃ darśitam /

"juhuyāditi śabdasyaitatsāmarthyam yaddhomaviśiṣṭaṃ prayatnamāheti" /

tathāhi ---------- vyāpāratvasyāpyakhaṇḍopādhitvena jātitulyatvāt śakyatāvacchedakatve bādhakābhāvaḥ /
naca tasmin mānābhāvaḥ; śruta eva madhurarasaḥ svāśraye janābhilāṣagocaratāṃ nayatīti vyavahārānurodhena tatsamavāyatadbhojanāderavaśyavaktavyavyāpāratvasya tajjanyatvādyātmatvāsaṃbhavenākhaṇḍopādherevaucityāpātatvāt /
astuvā gurubhūtasyaiva tasya śakyatāvacchedakatvam /
tathātve pacatītyasmāt pākayatnasyeva 'patati phalaṃ vṛkṣādi'tyādau gurutvasya 'stravatijalaṃ gireri'tyādau vegasya 'kampante taroḥ patrāṇī'tyādau vāyusaṃyogasyāpi saṃśayanivṛttyāniścayaviṣayatvāvaśyakatvāt gurutvādau vartamānatvādyanvayasya phalavṛttivādeḥ pratyayasyānyato durupapādatvādyatnatvavat gurutvādīnāmapi jātirūpatvena śakyatāvacchedakatvasaṃbhavena teṣvapi śaktyāpattau yatne etannirdhāraṇāsaṃbhavāt /
ataḥ parasparānapekṣānekaśakyatāvacchedakābhyupagamenānekavācyavācakabhāvābhyupagamāpekṣayā gurubhūtaikaśakyatāvacchedakābhyupagamenaikasyaiva vācyavācakabhāvaḥ svīkartuṃ yuktaḥ /
anekapadārthaghaṭitopādhyātmano hi vyāpārasyāvacchedakatve tadāśrayatvamanekeṣāṃ kalpyamiti gauravaṃ vācyam /
āśrayyavacchedakatvantu sarveṣāṃ paryāptamekameva syāt /
yatnatvādyanekaśakyatāvacchedakābhyupagame 'pyāśrayatvamapyanekatra kalpyam /
saṃbandhānekatvaṃ cetyapi gauravam /
vyāpārasāmānyasya hi bhāvanātve sāmānyasya viśeṣāpekṣitatvena kathamityākāṅkṣayetikartavyatānvayo yujyate /
yāgaviṣayaviśeṣayatnasya bhāvanātve viśeṣasya viśeṣāntarānapekṣaṇāt tadanvayo 'pi durupapāda eva /
evaṃ 'ratho gacchatī' tyādau ratho gamanaṃ karotītyādipratītyabhāvena gamanānukūlatvena bhāvanāyā apratīteḥ rathāśritagamanavyāpāra evākhyātena vinaiva lakṣaṇayā ucyata iti na lākṣaṇikatvamāpadyate /
naca karoterapi yatnārthakatvam /
caitraḥ pacatītyasya pākaṃ karotīti vivaraṇasyeva sthālī bibhartītyasyāpi dhāraṇaṃ karotīti vivaraṇasya darśanenobhayasādhāraṇatayā vyāpārasāmānyārthakasyaiva yuktatvāt /
yātu kṛtākṛtavyavasthā, sā tvayatnajāte 'pi kṛtavyavahārasya yatnābhāvavati ca kartṛvyavahārasyāgninā pākaḥ kṛto 'pyagniḥ pākakarteti vyavahāradarśanādayuktā /
yastu yatnasādhyatvāsādhyatvābhyāṃ kvacit kṛtākṛtavyapadeśaḥ, sa yatnasādhyayoreva dvayormadhye alpayatnasādhye 'kṛtavyapadeśavat vyāpārasādhyatvāviśeṣe 'pi kvacit yatnanyūnatvenaiva svalpavyāpārasādhyatvādakṛtavyavahāropapatternāsaṃbhavaḥ /
yathaiva yatnāśrayatve tulye 'pi caitrāśvayoḥ svātantryapāratantryābhyāṃ kartṛkaraṇavyapadeśavyavasthā bhavati caitro aśvena gacchati, natu kadācidaśvaḥ caitreṇa gacchatīti, tathā karotervyāpārābhidhāyitve 'pi sarvakārakāṇāṃ vyāpārāśrayatve tulye 'pi tābhyāmeva saṃbhavati sā vyavasthā /
yathāca satyapi tadanukūlayatne svātantryābhāvena kartṛtvaniṣedhavyavahāraḥ /
yathā paravaco vadati dūte nāyamasya vaktā, para evāsya vakteti, tathā satyapi tadanukūlavyāpārāśrayatve tadabhāvavivakṣayaiva saṃbhavati kartṛtvaniṣedhavyavahāraḥ /
yathā vātādi spandena bhagne kenedaṃbhagnamanenaiva nānyeneti /
ato na vyāpārasyākhyātavācyatve kiñcit bādhakam, pratyuta pākānukūlayatnavatvasya caitreśvarayostulyatvāt caitraḥ pacatītivadīśvaraḥ pacatītyapi prayogāpattiḥ yatnasya vācyatve bādhakam /
athecchājanyatāvacchedako yatnatvavyāpyo jātiviśeṣa eva ākhyātaśakyatāvacchedakaḥ //
yadvā -------- dhātvarthapākāderākhyātārthaphale ceṣṭādidvārameva janakatvam, athavā ---------- ākhyātārthayatnasya prathamāntapadārthe caitrādāvavacchedakatvaṃ saṃsarga iti svīkṛtyeśvaraḥ pacatīti prayogavāraṇam /
nahīśvaro janyakṛtimān /
nāpi tatkṛteḥ ceṣṭādidvāraṃ janakatvaṃ, nāpi kṛtijanmani caitrasyeveśvarasyāvacchedakatvamityucyeta, tathāsati riśvarakartṛkakriyāvācināṃ vedapurāṇetihāsagatānāmākhyātapadānāmanupapattiḥ /
tatrāgatyā vyutpattityāga iti cenna, śāstrasthāvā tannimittatvādityatroktena trivṛccarvaśvavālādinyāyena tādṛśapadānusāriṇyā eva vyutpatteraṅgīkāryatvāt /
kiñca ----------- yāvantaḥ phalajanakā yatnāste pratyekamākhyātavācyāḥ, kiṃvā yāvato phalasamudāyasya phalopadhānaniyamastāvatsamudāyo vācyaḥ /
ādye tādṛśayatnavantaṃ kañcitparañca tādṛśasamudāyavantamuddiśya nedṛśavacaḥprayogaḥ syāt, nāyamapākṣīt, kintu para eveti /
pākajanakayatnasya dvayorapi sattvāviśeṣāt /
dvitīye yatnatvaṃ na śakyatāvacchedakam, tasya pratyekavṛttitvena samudāyāvṛttitvāt, asmanmatetu vyāpāratvasya śakyatāvacchedakatve 'pi phalopahitatvasaṃbandhena bhāvyaniṣṭhasyaiva tasyākhyātena pratyāyyatvāt phalopahitatvasya ca vyāpāranicayavṛttitvāt vyāpārasya cādyaparispandaprabhṛtyāphalalābhādvitatā bhāvaneti vyavahārāt ko 'sau vyāpāra ityapekṣāyāmanvādhānādibrāhmaṇatarpaṇāntapadārthanicayasyāyamasau vyāpāra ityanvayakathanācca samudāye 'pi vyavahāropapattessaṃbhavati vyāpāranicayavatyākhyātaprayogaḥ /
yattu ----------- vidheścetanapravartakatvaniyamānupapattidūṣaṇaṃ, tattadanuṣṭheyadhātvarthānuraktavyāpārābhidhānena tanniyamāpatterakiñcitkaram /
yadapi bhāṣyādau yajetetyasya yateteti vivaraṇapradarśanaṃ, tadapi ākhyātārthevyāpāre yatnasyāpyanupraveśasattvādvyāpārāntarasyā niyatatvādyatnasyaiva niyatatvāt tatparameveti na viruddham ----------- iti //
(bhāṭṭālaṅkārakṛduktasakaladūṣaṇoddhārapūrvakaṃ vyāpārasāmānyavācitvapakṣopapāditasarvopapattinirāsapūrvakaṃ ca yatnatvameva śakyatāvacchedakamiti nirūpaṇam) tadapyetenāpāstam /
tathāhi ---------- yattāvadvyāpāratvasya akhaṇḍopādhitve śruta evetyādivyavahārasya mānatvamuktaṃ, tanna; prāyeṇānukūlayatnāsaṃbhavena vyāpāre lakṣaṇāṅgīkāre 'pi madhurarasaviṣayakānubhavasyaiva madhurarasaviṣayasya vyāpāratvāṅgīkārāt tasya ca viṣayajanyatvenaiva vyāpāravyavahāropapattau akhaṇḍatvasvīkāre mānābhāvāt /
nahyananubhūto madhurarasaḥ śruto 'pi svāśraye abhilāṣagocaratāpādakaḥ saṃbhavati /
ato gurubhūtatāśakyatāvacchedake sthitaiva /
yadapi gurutvadravatvādīnāmapi jātirūpatvena yatnasyaiva śakyatāvacchedakatvāpādanam, tadapi tebhyasteṣāmapratītyaivāyuktam /
ataeva ------------ gurutvadravatvādeḥ dravati jalamityādivyavahārādasamavāyikāraṇatvenopasthitasyāpi padāntareṇaiva samarpaṇam, natvākhyātapadāt /
nahi pākaṃ karotīti vivaraṇamiva gurutvādinākhyātavivaraṇaṃ dṛśyate /
atastatrāpi mukhyārthabādhe ākhyātasyāśrayatve lakṣaṇaiveti nānanubhūte śaktikalpanāpattiḥ /
etena ----------- yatnatvāderanekasya śakyatāvacchedakatvābhyupagamena āśrayitvānekatvasaṃbandhakalpanakṛtagauravāpādanamapi ------------ nirastam; yadapi bhāvanākathaṃbhāvākāṅkṣayetikartavyatānvayānupapattyāpādanaṃ, tadapi na; bhāvanāyāḥ svajanyakaraṇena phale janyamāne anugrāhakākāṅkṣāyā eva kathaṃbhāvākāṅkṣārūpatvena phalavācitvapakṣe tadākāṅkṣayā tadanvaye bādhakābhāvāt /
yadapi 'ratho gacchatī' tyādau acetanaprayoge bhāvanābhāve 'pi rathādyāśritagamanavyāpāramādāya vinaiva lakṣaṇayā bodhopapādanam, tadapi tādṛśavyāpārasya dhātunaiva pratītestadatiriktavyāpārasyākhyātārthatvābhāve vyāpārasāmānyasya ākhyātārthatvoktyasaṃbhavāt lakṣaṇāyā evāśrayaṇāpattermūle nyāyaprakāśa eva etādṛśaviṣaye dhātvarthātiriktabhāvanānirūpaṇena tadvirodhāccāyuktam /
yadapi sthālī bibhartītyasya dhāraṇaṃ karotīti karotinā vivaraṇānurodhāt karoterapi vyāpārasāmānyārthakatvamuktam, tadapina; svayamevācetanaprayoge ratho gamanaṃ karotīti vivaraṇe sarvānubhavaviṣayatvābhāvasya pūrvamupapāditatvenehāpi sthalī dhāraṇaṃ karotīti vyavahārasyopapādanānupapatteḥ, sattve vobhayatrāpi tasya lākṣaṇikatvopapatteśca /
itarathā gaṅgāpadasyāpi gaṅgāyāṃ ghoṣaḥ gaṅgāyāṃ mīnaḥ ityubhayasādhāraṇatayā gaṅgāsamīpadeśa eva śaktyāpatteḥ /
etena ---------- agninā pākaḥ kṛto 'gniḥ pākakartetyādayaḥ prayogā apyasaṃbhavadūṣitāḥ kathañcillakṣaṇayā ------------ vyākhyeyāḥ /
yadapi yatnasādhyayormadhye alpayatnasādhye akṛtatvavyapadeśanyāyena vyāpārasādhyatvāviśeṣe 'pi yatnanyūnatvenaiva svalpavyāpārasādhyatvādakṛtatvavyavahāropapādanaṃ, tadalpayatnasādhye akṛtatvavyapadeśanyāyena vyāpārasādhyatvāviśeṣe 'pi yatnanyūnatvenaiva svalpavyāpārasādhyatvādakṛtatvavyavahāropapādanaṃ, tadalpayatnasādhye akṛtatvavyavahārasya kvāpyadṛṣṭeḥ kṛtisāmānyābhāva evāṅkuro mayā na kṛta iti vyavahārasya darśanādalpatvādestatprayojakatvānupapatterayuktam /
yadapi vātādinā spandamāne spandānukūlavyāpāravatyapi kartṛtvaniṣedhasya svātantryābhāvavivakṣayopapādanam, tadapi kiṃ tvayā spandaḥ kriyata iti praśnasyottaratvena svaprayatnābhāvavivakṣayā pravṛtte nāhaṃ spandaṃ karomīti vākye svaprayatnābhāvaviṣayatvāvaśyaṃbhāvena svātantryābhāvavivakṣayā tadanupapādanānna yuktam /
paravaco vadati dūte yatnasattve 'pi nāyamasya vaktā, kintu para eveti vyavahārānurodhenavacanānukūlaprayojakaparavṛttiyatnāśrayatvābhāvenaiva tatkṛtitvaniṣedhasyopapattau svātantryābhāvavivakṣāyāṃ prayojanābhāvācca /
yadapīśvaraḥ pacatīti prayogāpattivāraṇāyāvacchedakatvasaṃbandhāṅgīkāre riśvarakartṛkakriyāvācipadānāṃ vedādigatānāṃ gauṇatvāpādanam, tadapi aśarīriṇarḥ iśvarasya tattatkriyākartṛkatvamādāya paṭhati vaktīti prayogasya kvāpyasaṃbhavādayuktam /
yastu mīnādiśarīradhāraṇena mīna uvācetyādiprayogastatratu mīnaśarīre vedaṃ paṭhatītyādipratītibalāt tadīyakṛtau tattaccharīrāvacchedakatvakalpanayāpyupapanna eva /
astuvāśarīreśvarakartṛtvamādāya kvāpiprayogastathāpi tasya gauṇatve 'pi na kṣatiḥ /

ataḥ sādhāraṇakartṛtayā tādṛśaprayoge vivakṣāsattve iṣṭāpattestadabhāve riśvarakṛterevānaṅgīkārāditi śabdāntarādhikaraṇagatakaustubhoktarītyā tatkṛterabhāvādeva tadanāyatyuktāvapi na kiñcidbādhakam /
yadapi kiñcetyādyākhyātaprayogaityantamuktaṃ, tanna; pākānukūlaphaloddeśyakayatnānāṃ pratyekameva vācyatvābhyupagame bādhakābhāvāt /
ata eva bahūnāṃ pākakartṛtve sati kasyacidyatnasya phalopahitatvābhāve 'pyayamapi caitraḥ pacatīti prayoga upapadyate /
ata eva kṛtikūṭāntargatayatkiñcitkṛtimādāyāpi vartamānatvānvayopapādanam tāntrikāṇām /
dvayoryatnasattvāviśeṣe 'pi nāyamapākṣīditi prayogaḥ phalopadhānakatvābhāvābhiprāyeṇāpi upapadyata eva /
bhavatāmapi vyāpārasamudāyaikadeśavati pacatīti prayogānāpatterdurnivāratvāt //
kiñca. vyāpāratvamakhaṇḍo dharmaḥ yadi samudāyavṛttīṣyate,tadā yathāśakti prayoge ekāṅgavaikalye samudāyābhāve tadvṛttivyāpāratvena rūpeṇākhyātādbodhābhāve kathaṃ vidhyarthānuṣṭhānamupapadyate? ataḥ pratyekavṛttyeva vyāpāratvamabhyupetya tena tena rūpeṇa tāvatāmeva saṃbhavatāṃ vyāpārāṇāmākhyātavācyatvaṃ ca prakalpyaikataravyāpāramādāyaiva pacati yajata iti prayogopapādane 'pi satre sāmyutthānenāyamayaṣṭetyādiprayoge evameva nirvāhasyāvaśyakatvam, tadvanmamāpīti pratyuta vyāpāratvānāmanekeṣāṃ śakyatāvacchedakatvāt gauravamanekaśaktikalpanamapyadhikamiti na vyāpārasāmānye śaktikalpanaṃ bhāṣyādigranthānāmasāmañjasyāpatteryuktam /
ato lāghavāt dvārāntarāpekṣayā niyatatvādyatna eva śaktiḥ, tadbādhe lakṣaṇaivetyetatsarvaṃ sarvatreti padena pūjyapādaissūcitam /

ata eva sakarmakākarmakavyavahāro 'pi dhātugata eva, natu bhāvanāgataḥ /
ata eva dhātorakarmakatve 'pi 'svāsthyakāmaḥ śayīte' tyādau svāsthyādīnāṃ bhāvanāyāmeva bhāvyatvenānvaya iti draṣṭavyam //

nahi agnyādidevatātvānāṃ prakṛtyarthavṛttīnāṃ taddhitopātte pratyayārthabhūte dravye 'nvaye sati vaiśiṣṭyasya vyutpannatvena śrutavidhinā viśiṣṭavidhānena paścāt kalpitaviśeṣaṇavidhināṣṭākapāloddeśenāgnyādidevatāsaṃbandhaviśeṣe sati śrutavidherāvṛttyasaṃbhave vākyabheda upapadyate /

(atyantābhāvapratiyogina eva pratibandhakatvāt dhvaṃsavyāpāratvapakṣe yāgapratibandhakatvanirāsaḥ, abhāvakāraṇatāsamarthanaṃ ca) naca kāraṇībhūtābhāvapratiyogitvādyāgasya pratibandhakatvāpattiḥ; anyatra pratibandhakābhāvasya svātantryeṇa kāraṇatvena tatpratiyogini pratibandhakatvasaṃbhave 'pīha dhvaṃsasya kāraṇāvāntaravyāpārarūpatvena svataḥ kāraṇatvābhāvena abhāvapratiyogitvamātreṇa tadanāpatteḥ /
kiñca ----------- yatra saṃsargābhāvasya kāraṇatā, tatraiva tatpratiyogini pratibandhakatvam, prakṛtetu dhvaṃsatvena kāraṇatvānna tadanāpattiḥ /
naca ----------- abhāvarūpasya kathaṃ phalajanakatvaṃ ? iti ------------ vācyam; sandhyāvandanādyakaraṇasya pratyavāyajanakatvavadyogyānupalabdherabhāvarūpāyā abhāvapratyakṣajanakatvavadihāpi tasya phalajanakatvakalpane bādhakābhāvāditi na kaściddoṣa ityanena sūcitam /
evañcāṅgeṣu pradhāneṣu ca dhvaṃsavyāpāreṇaiva nirvāhe nāpūrvakalpanamiti tadbhedābhedasidhyarthā vyarthāpūrvacinteti pūrvapakṣamupasaṃharati ------------ ata iti //
(kīrtanādeḥ phalotpattipratibandhakatvasya pratibadhyatāvacchedakasya tadvyaktitvasyāprasiddhyāyogena gauravāt kīrtanātyantābhāvaviśiṣṭatvena kāraṇatākalpanasyāpyayogena kṣaratinaśyatyorlakṣaṇāpattyācāpūrvasiddhiriti nirūpaṇam) kīrtanādeḥ phalavyaktipratibandhakatvāṅgīkārastāvat pratibadhyatāvacchedakasya tadvyaktitvasyāprasiddhatvā- devāyuktaḥ /
vijātīyasvargatvādinā pratibadhyatāṅgīkāre prayogāntare 'pi phalānutpattiprasaṅgaḥ /
kīrtanātyantābhāvaśiṣṭatvena kāraṇatākalpane kāraṇatāvacchedake gauravādanekakāraṇabhāvakalpanāpattiḥ /
ataḥ yadyapi kīrtanatvena tadvyaktijanyāpūrvatvena nāśyanāśakabhāvakalpane kāryakāraṇabhāvānekatve 'pi kāraṇatāvacchedake gauravābhāvāt "dharmaḥ kṣaratī" tyādiśāstronnītatvāt prāmāṇikatvam; tathāpi kṣaratinaśyatoḥ lakṣaṇāyāṃ pramāṇābhāvādagatyā nāśayogyāpūrvasiddhirityabhipretya siddhāntamāha ------------- kṣaratīti //
(vikṛtiṣu pṛthagaṅgānuṣṭhānasiddhyarthaṃ aṅgapradhānabhāvavyavasthāsiddhyarthaṃ cāṅgāpūrvāvaśyakatānirūpaṇam) aṅgeṣvapi dhvaṃsasya vyāpāratvāṅgīkāre tasya nityatvāt vikṛtivelāyāmapi sattvāt vikṛtīnāṃ paśupuroḍāśavatprasaṅgitvopapatteḥ prayogabhede 'pi tajjanyopakāralābhāt pṛthagaṅgānanuṣṭhānāpattau "prayāje prayāje kṛṣṇalaṃ juhotī"ti darśanānupapattiḥ /
ato 'vaśyaṃ tatrāpyapūrvakalpanamāvaśyakamityāha ------------ aṅgena ceti //
pradhānādāvityādipadena pradhānajanyāpūrvasaṃgrahaḥ /
pradhānasya prayājādyajanyatvena pradhāne 'ṅgānāmupayogakalpanānupapatte- stadavāntaravyāpārarūpadhvaṃsasyāpi cāṅgairvināpi jāyamānatvāt tadanupapatteḥ phale tatkalpanāyāṃ pradhānatvāpatteraṅgapradhānavyavasthāsidhyarthamapyapūrvakalpanāyā āvaśyakatvenāsmanmate upayogaḥ sulabhaḥ //
(śrutārthāpattikalpitavaidikavākyasiddhasyāpūrvasya bhokrātmaniṣṭhasya kalpanātsarvopapatti nirūpaṇam) naca tatra pramāṇābhāvaḥ; yāgenāpūrvaṃ kṛtvā svargaṃ kuryāditi śrutārthāpattikalpitavaidikaśabdasyaiva pramāṇatvādityarthaḥ /
naca apūrvasya śaktirūpasya vyāpārarūpasya vā śaktimato vyāpāriṇaśca nāśenāvasthānānupapattirityāśaṅkāṃ pariharati ------------ saceti //
apūrvasya yāgajanyatve 'pi anubhavajanyasmṛtivyāpārasya saṃskārasyānubhavaniṣṭhasyākalpanavadihāpi phalabalena yāganiṣṭhatvākalpanenātmaniṣṭhatvakalpanādavasthānopapatteḥ /
ataeva gayāśrāddhādau pitṛputrayorubhayorapi phalabhoktṛtvasya śāstrāntarapramitatvādubhayavṛttyapūrvadvayakalpanaṃ tattatkīrtananāśyameva /
evaṃ dampattyorapi phalabhoktṛtvādapūrvadvayaṃ svasvakīrtananāśyaṃ ca /
ataeva devatāprasādasyāpi phalavyadhikaraṇatvānnāvāntaravyāpāratvakalpanam /
evañca yatrānyaroganivṛttyarthameva darśādyanuṣṭhānam, tatretarasya satyapi vyāsajyavṛttikartṛtve phalabhoktṛtvābhāvāt na tanniṣṭhāpūrvāntarakalpanam, apitu phalabhoktṛniṣṭhameveti netarasmin phalisaṃskārāḥ /
evaṃ jāteṣṭhyādāvapi putragatasyaiva phalasya kalpanāt tatraivāpūrvaṃ, pitari tvakaraṇa eva pratyavāyajanakamapūrvamiti viśeṣaḥ /
ataeva ------------ na pitari te; (phalisaṃskārāḥ) kartṛniṣṭhaphalādhānayogyatājanakatvācca, nāpi putra ityātmaniṣṭhatvakalpane bādhakābhāvādavasthānopapattirityarthaḥ //
(yāgānyathāsiddhiparihāraḥ) yāgāderanyathāsiddhiṃ pariharati ------------ avāntareti //
(pradhānaikatvānekatvābhyāṃ utpattyapūrvaikatvānekatvayorutpattyapūrvāvaśyakatāyāśca nirūpaṇam) evamapūrve sādhite ekapradhānānekapradhānabhedābhyāṃ tadgataikatvānekatve utsargato darśayati -------------tadatreti //
prayogavidhinā sāṅgasya phalasāmagrītvokteḥ sāṅgatāyāśca prayogānta eva saṃbhavāt tadānīmutpadyamānaṃ paramāpūrvaṃ kṣaṇikāt pradhānānna saṃbhavatyatastaddbārabhūtamekamutpattyapūrvamityapūrvadvayameka- pradhānayāge /
yatrānekāni pradhānānyekaphalasādhanāni, tatrāpi pratipradhānamekaikamutpattyapūrvam, paramāpūrvaṃ tvekamityutsarga ityarthaḥ

(darśapūrṇamāsayoḥ samudāyāpūrvadvayasādhanam) kvacidadhikāpūrvakalpanenāpavādamāha ------------ darśapūrṇamāsayostviti //
yadyapi cotpattivākye pratyekameva karaṇatvādatrāpi na triṣu vyāsajyavṛttyekaṃ karaṇatvam; tathāpyekapadopādānāvagatakaraṇatātraya- sāhityasyopādeyagatatvena vivakṣitasyaikakāryanirūpitatvamāvaśyakam; anyathā citrāsauryādiṣviva sāhityavyavahārānupapatteḥ /
atassamuccityaikakāryajanakatvamevātra sāhityaṃ, tacca na phalanirūpitam; karaṇaṣaṭkasāhityasyaiva tadaṅgatvāt /
ataeva na paramāpūrvanirūpitam, nāpyutpattyapūrvanirūpitam; tasyaikaikakaraṇajanyatvādatastattadvākye karaṇatrayasāhityasya kāryāpekṣāyāṃ samudāyāpūrvasiddhiḥ /
ataeva ------------ samudāyadvaye punaḥpunaraṅgānuṣṭhānamityarthaḥ /
evamekaikakāryanirūpitatvasya kāraṇatve āvaśyakatvādutpattivākyāvagataikakaraṇatvānurodheneva dadhipayoyāgayossaṃpratipannadevatākatvena sahānuṣṭhāne 'pyutpattyapūrvabhedaḥ /
ataeva ekapradhānavismṛtau ya eva dadhiyāgaḥ payoyāgo vā kṛtastaditara evā'vṛttyate, natu kṛto 'pītyādi draṣṭavyam //
(cāturmāsyādiṣvapi darśapūrṇamāsanyāyātideśaḥ / ) anenaiva nyāyena yatra yatra yāgasamudāyo 'sti, tatra tatra samudāyāpūrvasiddhirityatidiśati ----------- evamanyatrāpīti // .//

(dvādaśāhe samudāyāpūrvakalpanānāvaśyakatāśaṅkāparihārau) yadyapi dvādaśāhe prāyaṇīyāditattadapūrvamutpattivākyeṣu nirapekṣakaraṇatvādutpattyapūrvabhede satyapi "dvādaśāhena prajākāmaṃ yājayedi" ti phalavidhau phalanirūpitakaraṇatvānupapattyā paramāpūrvasyaiva kalpanānna samudāyāpūrvakalpanasya prayojakam; tathāpi "dvādaśāhene"vae tyekavacanāntena samudāyasya karaṇatāvagamāt tasyāśca kiñcitkāryanirūpitatvaṃ vinānupapatteḥ paramāpūrvasya ca samudāyijanyatvena nirūpakatvāsaṃbhave samudāyāpūrvasiddhirdraṣṭavyā //
(sannipattyopakārakāṇāṃ pradhāne utpattyapūrvajananayogyatāsaṃpādanenevārādupakārakāṇāṃ pradhānenotpattyapūrvaniṣṭhatadavyavahitakāryajananānukūlayogyatājananenopayoganirūpaṇam /
samudāyāpūrvābhāve 'pi vikṛtāvatideśopapattiḥ prayogabahirbhūtasya phalajanana evopayoga ityādinirūpaṇaṃ ca)
aṅgeṣviti /

nanu ārādupakārakāṇāmapyaṅgānāṃ pradhānayāgasvarūpasya tadajanyatvāt tatra tajjanyotpattyapūrvāṇāmapi pradhānāvyavadhānenaivotpatteḥ tatrāpyupayogāsaṃbhavāt kvopayogaḥ? ityata āha ------------ ārādupakārakāṇāṃ tviti // .//
yadyapi pūrvāṅgārādupakārakāṇāṃ sannipattyopakārāṇāmiva pradhānagatotpattyapūrvayogyatājanana eva śakyata upayogo vaktum; tathāpi ārādupakārakatvāvacchedenaikatraivopayogakalpane lāghavādutpattyapūrvaniṣṭhayogyatāyāmevopayoga iti sūcayituṃ sāmānyata ārādupakārakāṇāmityuktam /

nanu prakṛtau samudāyāpūrvajananānukūlotpattyapūrvaniṣṭhayogyatā- saṃpādakānāmaṅgānāṃ vikṛtau samudāyāpūrvabhāve kathamatideśaḥ? ityata āha------------ tadavyavahiteti //
yatratu vājapeyāṅgabṛhaspatisavāpūrvasya prayogabahirbhūtatvena sāṅagavājapeyaprayogajanyaparamāpūrvaniṣpattyanantaramanuṣṭhānānna tatropayogaḥ, tatra phalānukūlaparamāpūrvaniṣṭhayogyatājanana evopayogaḥ /
evaṃ vaimṛthasyāpi samudāyāpūrve draṣṭavyamiti sūcayituṃ phalopalakṣaṇena svargādyeva vetyuktam

(bṛhaspatisavakaraṇasya paramāpūrvasthāpakatvādīnāṃ kaustubhoktatvanirūpaṇam) atra ca bṛhaspatisavādyakaraṇasya paramāpūrvanāśakatvakalpanayā tatkaraṇasya paramāpūrvasthāpakatvakalpanaṃ mūlānuyāyināṃ tannirāsaḥ pratipattyādyaṅgānāmupayogaśca kaustubhe draṣṭavyaḥ /

(aṅgānāṃ pradhānānāṃ ca paramāpūrvāṅgīkārānāvaśyakatāśaṅkāparihāreṇa paramāpūrvāṅgīkārāvaśyakatānirūpaṇam) yadyapi yatra samudāyāpūrvaṃ, tatrārādupakārakāṇāṃ tatraivopayogopapatteḥ, yatravā na tattatrāpyutpattyapūrva eva phalānukūlayogyatājananadvāropayogasaṃbhavānna paramāpūrve kiñcit pramāṇam /
kiñca yatra naivārādupakārakāṇyaṅgāni, tatra tatkalpane naiva kiñcittat; tathāpi darśapūrṇamāsādau phalavākye sāhityaviśiṣṭānāṃ ṣaṇṇāṃ yāgakaraṇatānāṃ phalanirūpakatvāvagamāt tasyaca vyāpāramantareṇānupapattestadapekṣayā paramāpūrvaṃ kalpyate /
utpattyapūrvāṇāṃ ataeva samudāyāpūrvasyavā ṣaṭsāhityāvacchinnajanyatvābhāvānna vyāpāratvam /
yadyapi pratiyāgaṅkaraṇatā bhinnā, āgneyatvādīni tadavacchedakānyapi bhinnāni; tathāpi sarvāsu karaṇatāsu ekā phalanirūpakatā; phalasyaikatvāt, tadavacchedakatvaṃ ca ṣaṭsāhityam /
naca tajjanyatvamutpattyapūrvādīnāṃ sidhyatīti tadvyāpārasidhyarthaṃ paramāpūrvopāsanam /
ataeva yatra karaṇatāvyavadhānenaiva samudāyādyapūrvotpattiḥ saṃbhavati, tatra vyāpārānapekṣayaiva sādhakatamatvavivakṣayā
karaṇatvopapatternaikakāryanirūpitatvena vyāpārāpekṣaṇam, prakṛtetu phalasya kālāntarabhāvitvenāvyavadhānenotpattyasaṃbhavena vyāpārāpekṣaṇamiti viśeṣaḥ /
evamaṅgānāmapi parasparasahitānāmeva prayogavidhinā pradhānopakārarūpaphalajanakatvāvagamāt tasya
cāvyavadhānenānutpattestadvyāpārarūpākhaṇḍa- karaṇopakārāparatadanāpatteḥ /
evaṃ yatraikameva pradhānaṃ, tatrāpi phalasya kālāntarabhāvitvena vyāpārāpekṣāyāṃ sāṅgapradhānottarotpattikatvānurodhenaiva tatsiddhiḥ

(paramāpūrvānaṅgīkārasyeṣṭatvanirūpaṇam) evamubhayatra paramāpūrvasattve pramāṇasattve 'pi sāṅgapradhānottaramutpannasyaiva vyāpāratvakalpane pramāṇābhāvāt kḷptotpattyapūrvāṇāmeva yuktaṃ vyāpāratvamityālocyate yadi, tadā naiva tadaṅgīkāre kiñcitprayojanamiti tathāśabdena sūcayan tadanaṅgīkāramiṣṭāpattyā darśayati ----------- yaditviti //
(paramāpūrvānaṅgīkāre dvitīyaprakṛtiprayoge vikṛtiṣu ca prasaṅgopapādanaparaprakāśamatasya matāntarasya ca vārtikāvaṣṭambhena khaṇḍanam) etena ---------- paramāpūrvābhāve uttarāṅgāṇāṃ phalotpattiparyantamutpattyapūrvasthityarthatve vaktavye sakṛtsvargārthaṃ darśaṃ kṛtavataḥ prakṛtidvitīyādiprayogeṣu vikṛtiṣu caihikaphalāsu punaruttarāṅgānuṣṭhānānāpattiḥ /
pūrvakṛtāṅgopakārāṇāmavasthānena prasaṅgasiddheriti prakāśakāroktaṃ -----------apāstam; phalotpattyanukūlayogyatādhānārthatvasyaivottarāṅgāṇāṃ svīkāreṇāntimayogyatayā tannāśena prasaṅgānāpattau tadutpattyapūrvasthityarthatve pramāṇābhāvāt /
etena ---------- paramāpūrvābhāve ekaikotpattyapūrvasya kīrtanena nāśāpattau phalotpādānāpattiratastatkalpanamāvaśyakamiti keṣāñciduktamapi ----------- apāstam; pramāṇābhāve phalānutpāde 'pi bādhakābhāvena tatkalpanānupapatteḥ /
ataeva vārtike ----------- "atha kasmāt prātyātmikānyevāṅgāpūrvāṇi pradhānopakārakatvaṃ bhinnāni ca pradhānāpūrvāṇi phalabījatvaṃ na pratipadyante ityāśaṅkya satyam, nahi kaścidatra doṣa itīṣṭāpattiṃ pradarśya kintu 'arthāpatterihāpūrvaṃ pūrvamekaṃ pratīyate tatastatsiddhaye bhūyaḥ syādapūrvāntarapramā /
' pradhānānāṃ phalaṃ pratyaṅgānāṃ ca pradhānāni prati yugapadupādānādapekṣāvaśenaikāpūrvakalpanayā ca tatsaṃbandhopapatternāpūrvāntarakalpanāpramāṇamastītyekameva tāvadavadhāryate tataḥ punaḥ kramavartibhirbahubhiḥ karmabhiḥ tadaśakyaṃ yugapat kartumiti tatsidhyarthaṃ prātyātmikāpūrvāntarakalpanā bhavatī" tyādinopajīvyatyāgāyogamātreṇa paramāpūrvamaṅgīkṛtam //
(aṅgānāṃ na paramāpūrvakalpakatvamiti prakāśoktinirāsapūrvakopasaṃhāraḥ) etena ---------- kathañcitpārthasārathilikhitamanusmṛtyāṅgānāṃ paramāpūrvakalpakatvaṃ neṣṭavyamiti prakāśakāroktaṃ vārtikavirodhāduktayukteśca ----------- parāstam; viśeṣataścāyamartho hyekādaśādye vyaktīkariṣyate /
paramāpūrvasidbhāve vivāde 'pyapūrvasadbhāve naiva vivāda ityabhipretyopasaṃharati

"akṣasūktaṃ śaṃsati" "maṇḍūkasūktaṃ śaṃsatī" tyevamādyāmnātānāmakṣamaṇḍūkādīnāṃ devatātvābhāvena devatāprakāśakatvānupapatte rājasūyāgnicayanayorviniyuktākṣa- maṇḍūkastutyamātraprakāśakatvasya dṛśyateceti guṇasūtreṇeha śaṅkitatvāt "stutaśastrayostu saṃskāro yājyāvaddevatāvidhānatvādi"ti pūrvapakṣasūtragataṃ devatāpadaṃ stutyamātropalakṣaṇamiti sūcayituṃ devatādītyādipadopādānam //
(stotraśastrayorguṇiprakāśanaparatve lakṣaṇāprasaṅgenādṛṣṭārthatvopapādanam) śrutārthasyaiva prayojanāpekṣāyāṃ tadavirodhenaiva prayojanasya kalpanā yuktetyabhipretya siddhāntamāha ------loka iti //
'vakrakeśānto devadatta' ityādau yathāguṇābhidhāne stutibuddhirbhavati, na tathā vakrakeśāntaṃ tamānayetyādāvityarthaḥ /
nanu "prayājaśeṣeṇa havīṃṣyabhighārayatī" tyatra prayājaśeṣapratipattyarthatayā dṛṣṭārthatānurodhena vibhaktidvaye lakṣaṇāśrayaṇavat, ihāpi stautiśaṃsatyoḥ prakāśane lakṣaṇāstvityāśaṅkya nirasyati ---------- naceti //
yājyādimantreṣviva prakāśanasya liṅgakalpyamantraviniyojakaśrutyaiva prāptisaṃbhaveneha guṇaparisaṅkhyādyarthatvābhāvena vidhivaiyarthyāpattermantrāṇāṃ dṛṣṭārthatvasya stutiniṣpādakatayā siddhānte 'pyakṣateḥ stutisvarūpasya dṛṣṭārthatvakalpane stutisvarūpasyaiva bādhāpatteragatyā śakyārthasyaivādṛṣṭārthatayā vidhisārthakyamanyathā vaiyarthyamityarthaḥ /

evaṃ yadiśabdasyāpi nimittatvaparatvāt svasamabhivyāhṛtaprāptidyotakatvaṃ draṣṭavyam /

ataśca tacchabdasya mantraparatvamevāṅgīkṛtya mantracodakeṣu mantrādhyetṛṣu yā mantrākhyā mantrapadavācyatvaprayogeṇa sūtre uktamiti bhāvaḥ /
yāni asyantatvādīni lakṣaṇāni vṛttikāreṇa kṛtāni, tāni kathañcitsvarūpakathanamātraparatayā neyāni, natu lakṣaṇatvenar "iḍyaścāsi vandyaśca vājinni"ti mantre 'simadhyatvena "tattvā yāmi brahmaṇe" ti mantre tvāmadhyatvenāvyāpterityādi prācāṃ grantheṣveva draṣṭavyam /
prayojanam --------- "ākṣepeṣvapavādeṣu prāptyāṃ lakṣaṇakarmaṇi /

"ārṣeyaṃ vṛṇīta" ityādividhivaśātkāśyapavatsāranaidhruvetyādiśabdena ārṣeyaṃ kīrtyate, sa pravaraḥ /
subrahmaṇyānigade yatra "devadattaśarmaṇaḥ putro yajata ityādinā yajamānapitrādivācakaśabdo yajamānasya nāma gṛhṇātī"ti vidhitaḥ prayujyate tannāma /

"upāvartadhva" miti mantrasya sthāne mahāvrate "rathaghoṣeṇa māhendrasya stotramupākarotī"ti vacanavihite rathaghoṣe 'pi sattvena vyabhicārānna tanmātreṇaiṣāṃ mantratvamityarthaḥ //
(vidhivākyāmnāterāpadasya, āyurāśāste yajamāno 'sau ityatrāsāviti padasthānīyaviśeṣapadānāṃ ca mantratvanirāsaḥ /
pūrvottarapakṣaprayojananirūpaṇaṃ ca) atraca vārtike --------- yat irāpadasyairaṃ kṛtvodgeyamiti vidhivākye taddhitāntargatatvenāmnātatvādastyeva mantratvamityuktam, tadgānārthaṃ brāhmaṇe samāmnātasyāpi mantraprasiddhyaviṣayatvena mantratvāyogāt kathañcit mantrakāṇḍe tadvidhipāṭhābhyupagame 'pyairapadasyaiva pāṭhenerāpadena tadasaṃbhavādatiśayārtham /

nāpi prayojanaikatvam; tadyadi śeṣirūpaprayojanaikatvaṃ, tadā

"sarvebhya" ityādāvapyanekatvāttadāpattiḥ /
nāpi mukhyaviśeṣyarūpaprayojanaikatvaṃ tat;
"darśapūrṇamāsābhyāṃ svargakāmo yajete" tyādāvanekāgneyādibhāvanānāṃ mukhyaviśeṣyāṇāṃ bhinnatvāttadāpatteḥ /
nāpi mukhyaviśeṣyapratipādakaśabdaikatvam; vrīhiyavavākyayoḥ
"bhago vāṃ vibhajatvi" tyādau ca tatpratipādakaśabdabhedādevārthaikatvānāpattervibhajyamānasākāṅkṣatvavi śeṣaṇopādānasya vaiyarthyāpatteḥ, ataḥ arthaikatvasya durvacatvāt kathametallakṣaṇamityata āha ------------ arthaikatvaṃ ceti //

sākāṅkṣatve 'pi sadanakaraṇapratiṣṭhāpanabhāvanayorekapadopādānābhāvenaika pratītiviṣayatvābhāvāt tacchabdasyaca vākyāntaropāttasadanaprakāśakatvenāpyupapattervākyena liṅgabādhāyogādarthaikatvābhāva ityarthaḥ //
(yajuṣṭvasya samudāya ivāvayave 'pi paryāptiḥ, yajuśśabdayaugikatvasya nyāyasudhākṛbhimatasya nirāsaḥ, vedatvasya samudāyamātraparyāptirityādi nirūpaṇam)
atraca yajuṣṭvaṃ na yāgasādhanatvamātreṇa, nāpyarthaprakāśakatayā yāgasādhanatvena vā sakhaṇḍopādhirūpam; ṛcyapi tadāpatteḥ, apitu mantratvavadakhaṇḍopādhirūpam /
ataeva yajuśśabdo rūḍha eva, tasyaca vedatvavat sarvamantreṣu vyāsajyavṛttitayā kalpane 'pi yajuravayavasyaiva viniyogena prakāśakatvāttatparyāptiravayave 'pi na virudhyate /
ataeva mantra eva khalvayaṃ nigadabhūto bhavati tasmādyajuriti subrahmaṇyānigadarūpavākye 'pi yajuṣṭvavyavahāra upapadyate /

etena ---------- yajuśśabdasya yāgasādhanavācitvena yaugikatvāt sūktavākavat svādhyāyakāle bhedānabhyupagame 'pi karmakāle viniyogabhedena yajurbhedāvagaterbhedenaiva prayojyateti nyāyasudhākṛto yaugikatvoktiḥ ------- parāstā; japādisādhaneṣu yajuṣṭvānāpatteśca /

(āyuryajñena kalpatāmityādāvapi mantrabhedanirūpaṇaṃ pūrvottarapakṣaprayojananirūpaṇaṃ ca) kḷptīrityatra kḷptipadaṃ na kalpatāmiti padaparam, navā tadghaṭitamantraparam; lakṣaṇāpatteḥ, apitu kḷptikriyārūpārthaparam /

yadyapi vā laukikasyāprakṛtatvādāgneyīnyāyena prakṛte 'nuṣajyate; tathāpyāgneyyā anyatra viniyuktāyā apyanyatra viniyogasya kuśadarvyādaya iti vacanamūlatvena samastaviniyogena mantratvānapāye 'pīhamantraikadeśasyānyatra nayane mantratvānupapatteḥ prakṛtagrahaṇe 'pi mantratvayajuṣṭvayorabhāvānna tadbhreṣe yajurbhreṣanimittaprāyaścittamiti pūrvapakṣasyāśaṅkānirāsavyājenaiva sunirasyatāṃmatvā siddhāntamevāha

"yajamānaṃ pāvayatī"ti vidhivihitapāvanakriyāyāḥ śabdārthayoḥ pratyabhijñānena citpatyādīnāṃ bhagādivat stutyarthamupāttānāṃ bhede 'pi vibhāgavat bhedāsiddherekatvāttasyāstribhirapi karaṇamantraiḥ prakāśanādacchidrādeścāpūrvasādhanībhūtaprakāśyamānaikapāvanakriyākaraṇaprakāśanārthatvāt pūrvamantrayorapi antimamantravat prayogaḥ /
ata eva tattadgrahajanyābhyāsāpūrvavat ihāpūrvabhedābhāvānnāntimapāvanakriyābhyāsāt pūrvārthatvamapi /
tatraikapāvanakriyāprakāśanārthatvena mantrāṇāṃ vikalpopītyuktam /
tat tribhiryajamānaṃ pāvayatīti pārthasārathikṛtasaṅkhyāyuktavacanena
"tāṃ caturbhiri" tyaneneva mantrāṇāṃ samuccayopapattervikalpāyogāt kriyaikye 'pi bodhāyanādikalpaparyālocanayā pāvanasyāpi mukhanābhigulphapradeśeṣu trirabhyāsāvagamāt ekaikamantrasyaikaikābhyāsakaraṇatvapratītyā'nantaryaviśeṣaṇenācchidrādeḥ gulphapradeśe saṃskārārthapāvanakriyābhyāsaprakāśakapadaikavākyatayā vijātīyāpūrvasādhanībhūtapāvanakriyābhyāsāṅgatvasyaiva yuktatvāt /
payasā maitrāvaruṇaṃ śrīṇātīti vihitapayaḥ śrapaṇasyābhyāsāntareṣvivehāpyabhyāsāntare prāpterasaṃbhavena vyavasthāyā eva prāpteḥ /
ata eva ---------- vacanābhāve vikalpānāpatteścātiśayārthamityabhipretya vinigamanāviraheṇaiva sarvatra śeṣānvayaṃ sādhayati

yataśceha paśorevāyuḥ prāṇo bāhyavātena saha saṅgacchatām /

yajñapatiḥ svāmī te āśiṣā phalena saṃgacchatāmiti mantratrayārthaḥ /
satyorapyākāṅkṣāyogyatvayorāsatterabhāvānnānuṣaṅga ādyamantragatasya gacchatāmiti padasyetyāha

kalpyasyāpi padasyābhidhānakaraṇatvāt kartṛvyāpāraṃ vinābhidhānakaraṇatvāyogāditaramantreṣvivoccāraṇātiriktaśabdaviṣayakartṛvyāpārābhāvāduccāraṇasyaiva tattvena kalpanāduccāryatvasiddhirityarthaḥ

gamiprakṛteḥ saṃ yajatrairityatrāpi anuṣaṅgopapattau bahuvacanamātrasyaivādhyāhāre 'pi saṃyajñapatirityatrāpi tatprakṛteravyavāyenānuṣaṅgasaṃbhavāt madhye bahuvacanena vyavāyādādyamantragataikavacanasya nānuṣaṅgaḥ, kintu adhyāhāra evetyevamekavacanapratyudāharaṇamātratvameva yuktamityarthaḥ //
(padādhyāhāra eveti prakāśakāramatatannirāsau, prayojanaṃ ca) yattu -------- prakāśakārāṇāmetadāśaṅkyottaraṃ padārtha eva hyākāṅkṣito na tadekadeśaḥ /
tacchābdatāyaica padamevākāṅkṣitaṃ, na tadekadeśa iti kṛtsnasyaiva padasyānuṣaṅgo 'dhyāhāraśca na tadekadeśasya pratyayamātrasya prakṛtimātrasya veti /
tatpratyayamātrohe prakṛterarṣatvavadihāpi prakṛteranuṣaṅgatāyā ārṣatvopapatteḥ itarathā tatrāpi saṃpūrṇapadasyaivohāpatteḥ pratyayamātrādhyāhāre bādhakābhāvādayuktamiti vyaktaṃ kaustubhe /
evañca prakṛtimātrabhreṣa eva yajurbhreṣaprāyaścittaṃ, pratyayabhreṣe tu na tadityapi prayojanaṃ spaṣṭatvānnoktam
