evaṃ prārthayamānaḥ punarbhavajanakaṃ karma samutthāpayati kāyena vācā manasā |

ayam upādānapratyayo bhavêty ucyate |

yā karmanirjātānāṃ skandhānām abhinirvṛttiḥ sā bhavapratyayā jātir ity ucyate |

yo jātyabhinirvṛttānāṃ skandhānām upacayaparipākād vināśo bhavati |

tatra cakṣurvijñānasya cakṣurāśrayakṛtyaṃ karoti |

rūpam ārambaṇakṛtyaṃ karoti |

āloko 'vabhāsakṛtyaṃ karoti |

ākāśam anāvaraṇakṛtyaṃ karoti |

tajjamanasikāraḥ samanvāhārakṛtyaṃ karoti |

asatsv eṣu pratyayeṣu cakṣurvijñānaṃ nôtpadyate ||

kim aham abhūvam atīte 'dhvany āho svin nâbhūvam atīte 'dhvani |

ko nv aham abhūvam atīte 'dhvani ||

aparântaṃ vā punar na pratisarati |

kiṃ nu bhaviṣyāmy anāgate 'dhvany āho svin na bhaviṣyāmy anāgate 'dhvani |

ko nu bhaviṣyāmîti |

pratyutpannaṃ vā punar na pratisarati |
kiṃ svid idaṃ kathaṃ svid idaṃ |
