Explanatory Remarks

A number of five figures at the left side indicates the location of the key word
in the basic texts. In the case of the SV, the HB and the VN, the first three figures
indicate the page number, and the last two indicate the line number (for example,
SV16026=SV 160,26; HB02314=HB 23,14; VN06110=VN 61,10). In the case of the
PV and the NB, the second figure indicates the chapter number and the last three
figures indicate the karika or sutra number (for example, PV02232=PV, the
Pramanasiddhi-chapter v.232; NB03015=NB, the Pararthanumana-chapter sutra 15.
In the case of the SP, the last two figures indicate the karika number (for example,
SP00015=SP, v.15).


3. In this database, sentences are artificially divided into word-units, although they
involve a phonetic fusion or union in the basic texts. Further, compound words are
divided into their shortest constitutive elements (we use a hyphen to indicate that
hyphenated elements originally form a compound word) with the following
exceptions:

3.1. The prefixes a-, dur-, nih- remain undivided, irrespective of attachment to
words or compound words.

3.2. Suffixes making an adverb, for example -vat, -vasa, are divided. But suffixes
making a possessive adjective, for example -vat, -mat, remain undivided, and terms
such as a numeral+ -dha/-vidha/-prakara remain also undivided.

3.3. Compound words with the suffixes -ta/-tva or -bhava/-bhuta fundamentally
remain undivided. For example: karyakaranabhava/-bhuta/-ta.

3.4. Compound words with evam-, tat-, tatha-, para-, yatha-, su-, sva- in the
wordhead fundamentally remain undivided. For example: evamjatiya, tadutpatti,
tathakrta, paratantra, yathartha, yathasvam, sujnanatva, svabhava.

3.5. Some compound words which are regarded as terminology remain also
undivided. For example: agnihotra, ayogavyavaccheda, arthapatti, padartha,
paramartha, prasajyapratisedha, viruddhavyabhicarin, samanantarapratyaya,
samtanaparinama, samanyalaksana, svabhavapratibandha.



4. Those terms whose wordhead is subject to the Sandhi rules (for example, -d
dhetu-) are cited in their original form (for example, -d *hetu-) for the sake of

03251 tad-atad-rūpiṇo bhāvās tad-atad-rūpa-hetujāḥ

03252 sā arthe sati indriye yogye yathāsvam api cetasi
03252 dṛṣṭaṃ janma sukha-ādīnāṃ tat-tulyaṃ manasām api
03253 asatsu satsu ca eteṣu na janma-ajanma vā kvacit
03253 dṛṣṭaṃ sukha-āder buddher vā ta tato na anyataś ca te
03254 sukha-duḥkha-ādi-bhedaś ca teṣām eva viśeṣataḥ
03254 tasyā eva yathā buddher māndya-pāṭava-saṃśrayāḥ
03255 yasya arthasya nipātena te jātā dhī-sukha-ādayaḥ
03255 taṃ muktvā pratipadyeta sukha-ādīn eva sā katham

03256 tal-lāghavāc cet tat-tulyam ity asaṃvedanaṃ na kim
03257 na ca ekayā dvaya-jñānaṃ niyamād akṣa-cetasaḥ
03257 sukha-ādy-abhāve apy arthāc ca jāteḥ tac śakty-asiddhitaḥ
03258 pṛthak pṛthak ca sāmarthye dvayor nīla-ādi-vat sukham
03258 gṛhyeta kevalaṃ tasya tad-hetv-artham agṛhṇataḥ
03259 na hi saṃvedanaṃ yuktam arthena eva saha-grahe
03259 kiṃ sāmarthyaṃ sukha-ādīnāṃ na iṣṭā dhīr yat tad udbhavā

03262 dhiyor yugapad utpattau tat-tad-viṣaya-sambhavāt

03263 saty āntare apy upādāne jñāne duḥkha-ādi-sambhavaḥ
03263 na upādānaṃ viruddhasya tac ca ekam iti cen matam
03264 avijñānasya vijñānaṃ kena upādāna-kāraṇam
03264 ādhipatyaṃ tu kurvīta tad-viruddhe api dṛśyate
03265 akṣṇor yathā eka āloko naktaṃcara-tad-anyayoḥ
03265 rūpa-darśana-vaiguṇya-avaiguṇye kurute sakṛt
03266 tasmāt sukha-ādayo arthānāṃ sva-saṃkrānta-avabhāsinām
03266 vedakāḥ svātmanaś ca eṣām arthebhyo janma kevalam
03267 artha-ātmā svātmabhūto hi teṣāṃ tair anubhūyate
03267 tena artha-anubhava-khyātir ālambas tu tad-ābhatā

03296 tat-tulyaṃ vikriyā-vac cet sā iva iyaṃ kiṃ niṣidhyate
03297 sarpa-ādi-bhrānti-vac ca asyāḥ syād akṣa-vikṛtāv api
03297 nivṛttir na nivarteta nivṛtte apy akṣa-viplave
03298 kadācid anya-santāne tathā eva apy eta vācakaiḥ

03305 anyaḥ sva-bhedāj jñānasya bhedako api kathaṃcana
03306 tasmāt prameya-adhigateḥ sādhanaṃ meya-rūpatā
03306 sādhane anyatra tat-karma-sambandho na prasidhyati
03307 sā ca tasya ātmabhūtā eva tena na artha-antaraṃ phalam
03307 dadhānaṃ tac ca tām ātmany artha-adhigamana-ātmanā
03308 savyāpāram iva ābhāti vyāpāreṇa sva-karmaṇi
03308 tad-vaśāt tad-vyavasthānād akārakam api svayam

03311 sarveṣām upayoge api kārakāṇāṃ kriyāṃ prati
03311 yad antyaṃ bhedakaṃ tasyās tat-sādhakatamaṃ matam
03312 sarva-sāmānya-hetutvād akṣāṇām asti na īdṛśam
03312 tad-bhede api hy abhinnasya tasya idam iti tat kutaḥ
03313 etena śeṣaṃ vyākhyātaṃ viśeṣaṇa-dhiyāṃ punaḥ
03313 atādrūpye na bhedo api tadvad anya-dhiyo api vā
03314 na iṣṭo viṣaya-bhedo api kriyā-sādhanayor dvayoḥ
03314 eka-arthatve dvayaṃ vyarthaṃ na ca syāt krama-bhāvitā
03315 sādhyasādhanatābhāvaḥ sakṛd-bhāve dhiyo aṃśayoḥ
03315 tad-vyavasthā-āśrayatvena sādhya-sādhana-saṃsthitiḥ
03316 sarva-ātmanā api sambaddhaṃ kaiścid eva avagamyate
03316 dharmaiḥ sa niyamo na syāt sambandhasya aviśeṣataḥ
03317 tad abhede api bhedo ayaṃ yasmāt tasya pramāṇatā
03317 saṃskārāc ced atādrūpye na tasya apy avyavasthiteḥ
03318 kriyā-karaṇayor aikya-virodha iti ced asat
03318 dharma-bheda-abhyupagamād vastv-abhinnam iti iṣyate
03319 evaṃprakārā sarvā eva kriyā-kāraka-saṃsthitiḥ
03319 bhāve hy abhinna-abhimateṣv adhyāropeṇa vṛttitaḥ
03320 kā artha saṃvid yad eva idaṃ pratyakṣaṃ prativedanam
03320 tad-artha-vedanaṃ kena tādrūpyād vyabhicāri tat
03321 atha so anubhavaḥ kva asya tad eva idaṃ vicāryate
03321 sarūpavanti tat kena sthūla-ābhāsaś ca te aṇavaḥ
03322 tan na artha-rūpatā tasya satya-artha-avyabhicāriṇī
03322 tat saṃvedana-bhāvasya na samarthā prasādhane
03323 tat sārūpya-tadutpattī yadi saṃvedya-lakṣaṇam
03323 saṃvedyaṃ syāt samāna-arthaṃ vijñānaṃ samanantaram
03324 idaṃ dṛṣṭaṃ śrutaṃ vedam iti yatra avasāya-dhīḥ
03324 sa tasya anubhavaḥ sā eva pratyāsattir vicāryate
03325 dṛśya-darśanayor yena tasya tat-sādhanaṃ matam
03325 tayoḥ sambandham āśritya draṣṭur eṣa viniścayaḥ

03330 tasyāś ca artha-antare vedye durghaṭau vedya-vedakau
03330 avedya-vedaka-ākārā yathā bhrāntair nirīkṣyate
03331 vibhakta-lakṣaṇa-grāhya-grāhaka-ākāra-viplavā
03331 tathā akṛta-vyavasthā iyaṃ keśa-ādi-jñāna-bheda-vat
03332 yadā tadā na saṃcodya-grāhya-grāhaka-lakṣaṇā
03332 tadā anya-saṃvido abhāvāt svasaṃvit phalam iṣyate
03333 yadi bāhyo anubhūyeta ko doṣo na eva kaścana
03333 idam eva kim uktaṃ syāt sa bāhyo artho anubhūyeta
03334 yadi buddhis tad-ākārā sā asty ākāra-niveśinī
03334 sā bāhyād anyato vā iti vicāram idam arhati
03335 darśana-upādhi-rahitasya agrahāt tad-grahe grahāt
03335 darśanaṃ nīla-nirbhāsaṃ na artho bāhyo asti kevalaḥ
03336 kasyacit kiṃcid eva antarvāsanāyāḥ prabodhakam
03336 tato dhiyāṃ viniyamo na bāhya-artha-vyapekṣayā
03337 tasmād dvi-rūpam asty ekaṃ yad evam anubhūyate
03337 smaryate ca ubhaya-ākārasya asya saṃvedanaṃ phalam
03338 yadā niṣpanna-tadbhāva iṣṭo aniṣṭo api vā paraḥ
03338 vijñapti-hetur viṣayas tasyāś ca anubhavas tathā
03339 yadā saviṣayaṃ jñānaṃ jñāna-aṃśe artha-vyavasthiteḥ
03339 tadā ya ātma-anubhavaḥ sa eva artha-viniścayaḥ
03340 yadi iṣṭa-ākāra ātmā syād anyathā vā anubhūyate
03340 iṣṭo aniṣṭo api vā tena bhavaty arthaḥ praveditaḥ
03341 vidyamāne api bāhya-arthe yathānubhavam eva saḥ
03341 niścita-ātmā svarūpeṇa na aneka-ātmatva-doṣataḥ
03342 yadi bāhyaṃ na vidyeta kasya saṃvedanaṃ bhavet
03342 yady agatyā svarūpasya bāhyasya eva na kiṃ matam
03343 abhyupāye api bhedena na syād anubhavo dvayoḥ
03343 adṛṣṭa-āvaraṇān no cen na nāma-artha-vaśā gatiḥ
03344 tam aneka-ātmakaṃ bhāvam eka-ātmatvena darśayet
03344 tad adṛṣṭaṃ kathaṃ nāma bhaved arthasya vedakam
03345 iṣṭa-aniṣṭa-avabhāsinyaḥ kalpanā na akṣa-dhīr yadi

03349 tasyā buddhi-niveśya-arthaḥ sādhanaṃ tasya sā kriyā
03350 yathā niviśate so arthaḥ tathā hi sa prakāśate
03350 artha-sthites tadātmatvāt svavid apy arthavin matā
03351 tasmād viṣaya-bhedo api na svasaṃvedanaṃ phalam
03351 uktaṃ svabhāva-cintāyāṃ tādātmyād artha-saṃvidaḥ
03352 tathā avabhāsamānasya tādṛśo anya-adṛśo api vā
03352 jñānasya hetur artho api ity arthasya iṣṭā prameyatā
03353 yathā kathaṃcin na asya artha-rūpaṃ yuktyā avabhāsinaḥ
03354 avibhāgo api buddhy-ātma-viparyāsita-darśanaiḥ
03354 grāhya-grāhaka-saṃvitti-bhedavān iva lakṣyate
03355 mantra-ādy-upapluta-akṣāṇāṃ yathā mṛcchakala-ādayaḥ
03355 anyathā eva avabhāsante tad-rūpa-rahitā api
03356 tathā eva adarśanāt teṣām anupapluta-cakṣuṣām
03356 dūre yathā vā maruṣu mahān alpo api dṛśyate
03357 yathā anudarśanaṃ ca iyaṃ meya-māna-phala-sthitiḥ
03357 kriyate avidyamānā api grāhya-grāhaka-saṃvidām
03358 anyathā ekasya bhāvasya nānā-rūpa-avabhāsinaḥ
03358 satyaṃ kathaṃ syur ākārās tad ekatvasya hānitaḥ
03359 anyasya anyatva-hāneś ca na abhedo arūpa-darśanāt
03359 rūpa-abhedaṃ hi paśyantī dhīr abhedaṃ vyavasyati
03360 bhāvā yena nirūpyante tad-rūpaṃ na asti tattvataḥ
03360 yasmād ekam anekaṃ vā rūpaṃ teṣāṃ na vidyate
03361 sādharmya-darśanāl loke bhrāntirn nāma upajāyate
03361 atadātmani tādātmya-vyavasāyena na iha tat
03362 adarśanāj jagat yasminn ekasya api tadātmanaḥ
03362 asti iyam api yā tv antar upaplava-samudbhavā
03363 doṣa-udbhavā prakṛtyā sā vitatha-pratibhāsinī
03363 anapekṣita-sādharmya-dṛg-ādis taimira-ādi-vat
03364 tatra buddheḥ paricchedo grāhaka-ākāra-sammataḥ
03364 tādātmyād ātmavit tasya sa tasyā sādhanaṃ tataḥ
03365 tatra ātma-viṣaye māne yathā rāga-ādi-vedanam
03365 iyaṃ sarvatra saṃyojyā māna-meya-phala-sthitiḥ
03366 tatra apy anubhava-ātmatvāt te yogyāḥ svātmasaṃvidi
03366 iti sā yogyatā mānam ātmā meyaḥ phalaṃ svavit
03367 grāhaka-ākāra-saṃkhyātā pariccheda-ātmatā ātmani
03367 sā yogyatā iti ca proktaṃ pramāṇaṃ svātmavedanam
03368 sarvam eva hi vijñānaṃ viṣayebhyaḥ samudbhavat
03368 tad-anyasya api hetutve kathaṃ syād viṣaya-ākṛtiḥ
03369 yathā eva āhāra-kāla-āder hetutve apatya-janmani
03369 pitros tad ekasya ākāraṃ dhatte na anyasya kasyacit
03370 tad-hetutvena tulye api tad-anya-viṣayaṃ matam
03370 viṣayatvaṃ tad-aṅgena tad-abhāve na tad bhavet
03371 anartha-ākāra-śaṅkā syād apy arthavati cetasi
03371 atīta-artha-grahe siddhe dvirūpatva-ātma-vedane
03372 nīla-ādy-ābhāsa-bheditvān na artho jātir atadvatī
03372 sā vā anityā na jātiḥ syān nityā vā janikā katham
03373 nāma-ādikaṃ niṣiddhaṃ prāṅ na ayam arthavatāṃ kramaḥ
03373 icchā-mātra-anubandhitvād artha-śaktirn na sidhyati
03374 smṛtiś ca īdṛgvidhaṃ jñānaṃ tasyāś ca anubhavād bhavaḥ
03374 sa ca artha-ākāra-rahitaḥ sā idānīṃ tadvatī katham
03375 na arthād bhāvas tadā abhāvāt syāt tathā anubhave api saḥ
03375 ākāraḥ sa ca na arthasya spaṣṭa-ākāra-vivekataḥ
03376 vyatiriktaṃ tam ākāraṃ pratīyād aparas tathā
03376 nityam ātmani sambandhe pratīyāt kathitaṃ ca na
03377 ekā ekena abhisambandhe pratisandhir na yujyate
03377 eka-artha-abhiniveśa-ātmā pravaktṛ-śrotṛ-cetasoḥ
03378 tad eka-vyavahāraś cet sādṛśyād atadābhayoḥ
03378 bhinna-ātma-arthaḥ kathaṃ grāhyas tadā syād dhīr anarthikā
03379 tac ca anubhava-vijñānam ubhaya-aṅga-avalambinā
03379 eka-ākāra-viśeṣeṇa taj-jñānena anubadhyate
03380 anyathā hy atad-ākāraṃ kathaṃ jñāne adhirohati

03386 artha-saṃkalana-aśleṣā dhīr dvitīya-avalambate
03386 nīla-ādi-rūpeṇa dhiyaṃ bhāsamānāṃ puras tataḥ
03387 anyathā hy ādyam eva ekaṃ saṃyojyeta artha-sambhavāt
03387 jñānaṃ na adṛṣṭa-sambandhaṃ pūrva-arthena uttarottaram
03388 sakṛt-saṃvedyamānasya niyamena dhiyā saha
03388 viṣayasya tato anyatvaṃ kena ākāreṇa sidhyati
03389 bhedaś ca bhrānti-vijñānair dṛśyeta indāv iva advaye
03389 saṃvitti-niyamo na asti bhinnayor nīla-pītayoḥ
03390 na artho asaṃvedanaḥ kaścid anarthasya api vedanam
03390 dṛṣṭaṃ saṃvedyamānaṃ tat tayor na asti vivekitā
03391 tasmād arthasya durvāraṃ jñāna-kāla-avabhāsinaḥ

03450 yat taj-jñānam paro apy enāṃ bhuñjīta anyena vid yadi
03451 tajjā tat pratibhāsā vā yadi dhīr vetti na aparā
03451 ālambamānasya anyasya apy asty avaśyam idaṃ dvayam
03452 atha na utpadyate tasmān na ca tat pratibhāsinī
03452 sā dhīrn nirviṣayā prāptā sāmānyaṃ ca tad-agrahe
03453 na gṛhyata iti proktaṃ na ca tad-vastu kiṃcana
03453 tasmād artha-avabhāso asau na anyas tasyā dhiyas tataḥ
03454 siddhe pratyakṣa-bhāva-ātmavidau gṛhṇāti tat punaḥ
03454 na adhyakṣam iti ced eṣa kuto bhedaḥ samarthayoḥ
03455 adṛṣṭa-eka-artha-yoga-ādeḥ saṃvido niyamo yadi
03455 sarvathā anyo na gṛhṇīyāt saṃvid bhedo apy apoditaḥ
03456 yeṣāṃ ca yogino anyasya pratyakṣeṇa sukha-ādikam
03456 vidanti tulya-anubhavās tadvat te api syur āturāḥ
03457 viṣaya-indriya-sampāta-abhāvāt teṣāṃ tad-udbhavam
03457 na udeti duḥkham iti cet na vai duḥkha-samudbhavaḥ
03458 duḥkha-asaṃvedanaṃ kiṃ tu duḥkha-jñāna-samudbhavaḥ
03458 na hi duḥkha-ādy-asaṃvedyaṃ pīḍā-anugraha-kāraṇam
03459 bhāsamānaṃ svarūpeṇa pīḍā duḥkhaṃ svayaṃ yadā
03459 na tad-ālambanaṃ jñānaṃ na tadā evaṃ prayujyate
03460 bhinne jñānasya sarvasya tena ālambana-vedane
03460 artha-sārūpyam ālamba ātmā vittiḥ svayaṃ sphuṭaḥ

03465 atha arthasya eva kaścit sa viśeṣo vyaktir iṣyate
03465 na anutpāda-vyayavato viśeṣo arthasya kaścana
03466 tad iṣṭau vā pratijñānaṃ kṣaṇabhaṅgaḥ prasajyate
03466 sa ca jñāto athavā ajñāto bhavej jñātasya liṅgatā
03467 yadi jñāte aparicchinne jñāto asāv iti tat kutaḥ
03467 jñātatvena aparicchinnam api tad gamakaṃ katham
03468 adṛṣṭa-dṛṣṭayo anyena draṣṭā dṛṣṭā na hi kvacit
03468 viśeṣaḥ so anya-dṛṣṭāv apy asti iti syāt sva-dhī-gatiḥ
03469 tasmād anumitir buddheḥ sva-dharma-nirapekṣiṇaḥ
03469 kevalān na artha-dharmāt kaḥ sva-dharmaḥ sva-dhiyo paraḥ
03470 yaḥ pratyakṣo dhiyo hetuḥ tulya-kāraṇa-janmanaḥ
03470 tasya bhedaḥ kuto buddher vyabhicāry-anyajaś ca saḥ
03471 rūpa-ādīn pañca viṣayāni indriyāṇy upalambhanam
03471 muktvā na kāryam aparaṃ tasyāḥ samupalabhyate

03494 na akṣāt sarva-akṣa-buddhīnāṃ vitathatva-prasaṅgataḥ
03495 sarva-antyo api hi varṇa-ātmā nimeṣa-tulita-sthitiḥ
03495 sa ca kramād aneka-aṇu-sambandhena nitiṣṭhati
03496 eka-aṇv-atyaya-kālaś ca kālo alpīyān kṣaṇo mataḥ
03496 buddhiś ca kṣaṇikā tasmāt kramād varṇān prapadyate
03497 iti varṇeṣu rūpa-ādāv avicchinna-avabhāsinī
03497 vicchinnā apy anyayā buddhiḥ sarvā syād vitatha-arthikā
03498 ghaṭanaṃ yac ca bhāvānām anyatra indriya-vibhramāt
03498 bheda-alakṣaṇa-vibhrāntaṃ smaraṇaṃ tad-vikalpakam
03499 tasya spaṣṭa-avabhāsitvaṃ jalpa-saṃsargiṇaḥ kutaḥ

03505 pratīta-bhede apy adhyakṣā dhīḥ kathaṃ tādṛśī bhavet

04016 pramāṇaṃ saṃśaya-utpatteḥ tataḥ sākṣān na sādhanam
04017 sādhyasya eva abhidhānena pāraṃparyeṇa na apy alam
04017 śaktasya sūcakaṃ hetu-vaco aśaktam api svayam
04018 hetv-artha-viṣayatvena tad-aśakta-uktir īritā
04018 śaktis tasya api ced hetu-vacanasya pravartanāt
04019 tat-saṃśayena jijñāsor bhavet prakaraṇa-āśrayaḥ

04021 viṣaya-khyāpanād eva siddhau cet tasya śaktatā
04022 vyāpti-pūrve vinā apy asmāt kṛtakaḥ śabda īdṛśaḥ
04022 sarve anityā iti prokte apy arthāt tan nāśa-dhīr bhavet
04023 anuktāv api pakṣasya siddher apratibandhataḥ
04023 triṣv anyatam arūpasya eva anuktir nyūnatā uditā
04024 sādhya-uktiṃ vā pratijñāṃ sa vadan doṣair na yujyate

04098 na bādhā pratibandhaḥ syāt tulya-kakṣyatayā dvayoḥ
04099 yathā sva-vāci tac ca asyā tadā sva-vacana-ātmakam
04099 tayoḥ pramāṇaṃ yasya asti tat syād anyasya bādhakam
04100 pratijñām anumānaṃ vā pratijñā-apeta-yuktikā
04100 tulya-kakṣyā yathārthaṃ vā bādheta katham anyathā

04115 sattvam ity abhyudāhāro hetor evaṃ phalo mataḥ
04116 saṃketa-saṃśrayāḥ śabdāḥ sa ca icchā-mātra-saṃśrayaḥ
04116 na asiddhiḥ śabda-siddhānām iti śabda-prasiddha-vāk
04117 anumāna-prasādhyeṣu viruddhāvyabhicāriṇaḥ
04117 abhāvaṃ darśayaty evaṃ pratīter anumā tv ataḥ

04124 tad-vastv-abhāve śaśini vāraṇe api na duṣyati
04125 tasmād avastu-niyata-saṃketa-dhvani-bhāvinām
04125 yogyāḥ padārthā dharmāṇām icchāyā anirodhanāt
04126 tāṃ yogyatāṃ nirundhānaṃ saṃketa-apratiṣedhajā
04126 pratihanti pratīta-ākhyā yogyatā viṣayā anumā
04127 śabdānām artha-niyamaḥ saṃketa-anuvidhāyinām

04267 kevalaṃ siddha-sādharmyāt smāryate samayaṃ paraḥ
04268 kāryakāraṇatā yadvat sādhyate dṛṣṭy-adṛṣṭitaḥ
04268 kārya-ādi-śabdā hi tayor vyavahārāya kalpitāḥ
04269 kāraṇāt kārya-saṃsiddhiḥ svabhāva-antargamād iyam
04269 hetu-prabheda-ākhyāyena darśita-udāhṛtiḥ pṛthak
04270 eka-upalambha-anubhavād idaṃ na upalabhe iti
04270 buddher upalabhe vā iti kalpikāyāḥ samudbhavaḥ
04271 viśeṣo gamyate arthānāṃ viśiṣṭād eva vedanāt
04271 tathābhūta-ātma-saṃvittir bheda-dhī-hetur asya ca
04272 tasmāt svato dhiyor bheda-siddhis tābhyāṃ tad-arthayoḥ
04272 anyathā hy anavasthānād bhedaḥ sidhyen na kasyacit
04273 viśiṣṭa-rūpa-anubhavān na ato anya-anya-nirākriyā
04273 tad-viśiṣṭa-upalambho ataḥ tasya apy anupalambhanam
04274 tasmād anupalambho ayaṃ svayaṃ pratyakṣato gataḥ
04274 sva-mātra-vṛtter gamakas tad-abhāva-vyavasthiteḥ
04275 anyathā arthasya nāstitvaṃ gamyate anupalambhataḥ
04275 upalambhasya nāstitvam anyena ity anavasthitiḥ
04276 adṛśye niścaya-ayogāt sthitir anyatra vāryate
04276 yathā aliṅgo anya-sattveṣu vikalpa-ādir na sidhyati
04277 aniścaya-phalā hy eṣā na alaṃ vyāvṛtti-sādhane
04277 ādyā adhikriyate hetor niścayena eva sādhane
04278 tasyāḥ svayaṃ prayogeṣu svarūpaṃ vā prayujyate
04278 artha-bādhana-rūpaṃ vā bhāve bhāvād abhāvataḥ
04279 anyonya-bheda-siddher vā dhruva-bhāva-vināśa-vat
04279 pramāṇa-antara-bādhād vā sāpekṣa-dhruva-bhāva-vat
04280 hetv-antara-samūhasya saṃnidhau niyamaḥ kutaḥ
04280 bhāva-hetu-bhavatve kiṃ pāraṃparya-pariśramaiḥ
04281 nāśanaṃ janayitvā anyaṃ sa hetus tasya nāśanaḥ
04281 tam eva naśvaraṃ bhāvaṃ janayed yadi kiṃ bhavet
04282 ātma-upakārakaḥ kaḥ syāt tasya siddha-ātmanaḥ sataḥ
04282 na ātma-upakārakaḥ kaḥ syāt tena yaḥ samapekṣyate
04283 anapekṣaś ca kiṃ bhāvo atathābhūtaḥ kadācana
04283 yathā na kṣepa-bhāg iṣṭaḥ sa eva udbhūta-nāśakaḥ
04284 kṣaṇam apy anapekṣatve bhāvo bhāvasya na iti cet
04284 bhāvo hi sa tathābhūto abhāve bhāvas tathā katham
04285 ye apara-apekṣa-tadbhāvās tadbhāva-niyatā hi te
04285 asambhavād vibandhe ca sāmagrī kārya-karmaṇi
04286 anadhyavasita-avagāhanam analpa-dhī-śaktinā apy
04286 adṛṣṭa-paramārtha-sāram adhika-abhiyogair api
04286 mataṃ mama jagaty alabdha-sadṛśa-pratigrāhakam
04286 prayāsyati payonidheḥ paya iva sva-dehe jarām
